As expected Keigo got no sleep that night. He did in fact clean himself up well and amongst his stress and a fuck you to the Hero Commission for trying to condition the bird traits out of him he ate a raw chicken loving the taste of fresh meat and blood. It was gruesome and probably scary to anyone who doesn't really know him but dammit it felt so damn good to indulge and it soothed his rattled-up nerves. He wonders if Y/N has any animalistic habits besides the little chirps and gurgle bubble noises she makes. "Get it together Hawks." He looked at the time and saw that it was 9 AM and even though he had the day off he figured he could stop by the office and see if there was anything to be done. He needed to do something to keep his mind from going crazy. He was so worried about you and he felt that all his and Rumi's progress has gone down the drain. You're not going to remember the puns, the jokes, the food, the late-night conversations none of it. He's back to being Hawks's No.4 Pro-hero in your book for the next week or so. He didn't even realize he was at his office until he was standing on the balcony where he left his window open. He entered and closed it behind him before his feathers alerted him that he had company "How long have you been here?" He turned to Rumi's neutral look on his face for once not in a scowl or signature feral grin.

"Not long." That means he was here for a couple of hours. When he needed time to himself or something familiar to think he would come to Hawk's office claiming it was much calmer and tranquil than his own.

"Ah okay." It was an awkward silence Keigo for once not interested in faking a smile or creating banter with his best friend. He went straight to his desk not bothering to sit down grabbing paperwork and working on autopilot ignoring the slowly growing tension between the two of them. Honestly, he always felt something between the two of them but he always chose the ignore it and dance around it the same way Rumi did. Maybe it's finally going to be broken whatever this is.

"So you're just going to sit there and do work. Like nothing hasn't happened." Ah, so he's hurt and angry and anxious. This was going to be interesting.

"I'm trying doesn't mean I'm going to be successful. I can't do anything until she wakes up." He felt the holes being burned into his skin and more or less felt Rumi come closer than actually hear him.

"So you're just fine with her not remembering us." He was glaring daggers into his eyes and Hawks felt the tension thickening and he wasn't sure how he was supposed to play this out.

"Of course, I'm not okay, we got to be careful and guarded until she eventually remembers. We have to pretend everything that we did and worked hard for never happened. The only good thing about this is that it's not temporary and that she will be okay." Hawks held his stare firmly with Rumi needing him to understand that he's not fine with all of this but, there is nothing they can do about it. This is way out of their hands and they have to trust the doctors and trust Y/N that she would pull through and this will all just be one long-ass nightmare that they don't want to live in again. The stare-down lasted a minute before Rumi smashed his lips against Keigo's. He wished he could say he was shocked but to be frank, this was building up for a long time and it was only a matter of time before this happened. Rumi wrapped his arms around his slim waist and pulled him flush against him. Keigo did his best to recuperate the kiss but Rumi dominated him and he didn't mind in the slightest. Once they pulled away Keigo couldn't help but laugh which pulled a huff from Rumi.

"Don't know why it took so long for us to do that." Keigo could say nothing to that. They were dancing around this for way too long and it was about time the tension was broken.

"Yeah that's one obstacle out of the way sweetheart but now we got a much bigger one." He cocked his head and Rumi rolled his eyes. Of course, their end goal was to get you to become part of a trio with them but honestly, they weren't even sure if you were poly. You gave signs but then again what if you weren't?

"We worry about that specifically later on right now our priority is to make sure she wakes up and we don't send her into shock." Rumi was surprisingly calm and still refused to let Keigo out of his hold- not that he minded he liked being held. Keigo went to say something but jumped at the sound of his personal cell phone breaking the peaceful atmosphere. He looked and saw it was Rei calling which meant only one thing. He picked up rather quickly.

"She's awake Hawks-San and you have to be careful..." What did she mean by that? "Her memory of the last 2 and a half years is suppressed. She doesn't know you or Miruko-San at all." He froze and was well aware that Miruko heard the conversation if the tightening of his arms around him was any indication. He thanked Rei quietly before hanging up and giving a look to Rumi. They both just stared at each other coming to an agreement.

"Let's go meet Y/N." Hawks stepped out of his embrace and perched on the window looking over his shoulder at Rumi to give him a smirk before putting his goggles back on his face, spreading his wings, and taking off grinning more at the sound of feet hitting pavement behind him. He never had to worry about Rumi keeping up with him since high school when he found out how fast Hawks was he was determined to match his speed. In no time at all, they made it to the hospital and asked the nurse that has been taking care of them if it was okay to go and see them and she gave the okay. What greeted them in front of the hospital room was All Might, Burnin, and the whole family of Todoroki's.

"You both got here faster than I thought." Enji looked at them but he wasn't really surprised. He knew how important you were to both of them. He looked at them both up and down with a small smile before turning serious again. "I know Rei gave you the quick facts of what's going on but it's a little worse. Since she lost 2 and a half years of her memory she's very scared and wary of heroes. As you know she is not from Japan she's from Magnolia. Magnolia is known for its ruthlessness and Heroes are basically villains with a license. It's okay for heroes to kill, it's okay for heroes to do everything unimaginable with virtually no consequences. She grew up with hero parents who did their best to protect her but she was always a target for the unsavory heroes. Due to that upbringing, she does not hate heroes she's deathly afraid of them which is worse." He took a minute for them to digest a bit of what he said. When they said nothing else he continued "We went in there already and she was okay since she remembered us but when Burnin came in she was scared of her and Burnin had to leave to let her calm down. I suggest if you want only one of you to go in and if shit hits the fan leave quickly to avoid her going into shock." Enji never broke eye contact and only looked back at his family once he got an affirmative nod from the two of them. Hawks looked at Rumi and when Rumi turned his head a bit it was okay for Hawks to enter the room. Keigo turned back to the door and stood right there in the front waiting. He took a couple of steadying breaths and decided to shed some of his wings to fit inside and look less intimidating. He took one more breath and with an easy-going smile he knocked on the door to announce his presence

"Who do you think it is this time Rei-San." Oh my God, he wanted to clench his chest at how small and cute you sounded. Jesus his heart can't take this. He decided to walk in and show himself and it took everything in his power not to step back or cringe at the look she gave him. He couldn't even see her pupils with how wide her eyes were.

"P-PRO HERO HAWKS." Fuck his heart cringed as he realized this was going to be harder than any mission the Hero Commission has ever assigned him.
