Bakugou throws his bag over his shoulder and trots down the stairs. Kirishima and him are leaving to tackle his fear. Kirishima only has two days to complete his task as it requires him to be outside of U.A. grounds. He has to watch a robbery or something of the sorts go down and not do anything about it, waiting for the heroes to show up.

Even though Katsuki knows he's needs to be home before ten, more time out of the house is better. The punishment won't be much worse than if he was on time.

So, he meets Kirishima down in the common room, backpack with the few necessities hanging from one shoulder. Kirishima throws him an energy bar which he rips into.

"Thanks again for the help, Bakugou," Kirishima says.

"Whatever," he spits out after swallowing a large bite.

Mina jogs over to them. "I still can't believe you got Bakubabe to agree to go with you."

Bakugou throws half of the bar away. He wasn't about to lose all the progress he'd made to some stupid mistake of cake.

Denki joins them. "Bakugou would only do this for you, dude," he adds.

"He cares about all of us. He'd help us if we needed it," Kirishima tries to justify.

"I don't care about any of you!" Bakugou chimes aggressively.

Mina gives him a knowing look before turning back to Kirishima. "Well, have fun," she says and skips away.

Kirishima sighs, a nervous smile tugging at his face. "Sorry," he says.

Bakugou rolls his eyes and pushes out into the cold air of spring. The due from last night's drizzle drips off the trees leaves. The tiles leading off the school grounds darker in parts from the water. The wind is strong enough that it's chilling despite the warm temperature. The sky is littered with white clouds, coming off like wings from the sun. The walk into a flurry of students leaving the grounds, parents' cars outside.

Only a few students continue walking down the hill to either the train station or to hang out with their friends.

After a long walk, they'd made it down to the bottom of the hill where the head into the direction of the city, only a small walk from the school. They're still in school uniform as of school policy and receive glances from pedestrians.

They walk aimlessly through the streets, both conversing about Quirk training. Bakugou gives Kirishima a few ideas for training and vice versa.

"You should be able to activate your Quirk in a Mexican wave kind of thing. Like you activate it at your feet and deactivate and activate parts of your body until you've reached your head."

"Wow! That's a great idea. It'll help with my timing and control!" Kirishima adds. After a short silence, he says, "It would be so cool if you could turn your explosions into little sparks to give off firework vibes. Like put your hand over the other and open it over your palm and then activate your Quirk. It'll probably look stupid and have no benefit for your training, but it'd be a cool idea.

After Bakugou scorns him for his horrible ideas, they go back to walking and talking.

After about 45 minutes, they'd passed a jewellery store where two guys are in black masks with guns in their hands. When Katsuki looks at Kirishima, he realises how much this must be hurting him. Even though Kirishima doesn't talk about his emotions much, Katsuki can gouge that for Kirishima, not being able to help someone triggers something inside him, making him feel useless.

There's a growing crowd around the store as loud orders sound out through the glass windows. People are talking worriedly to each other as the commotion continues. Some people on the phone to who he supposes is a hero agency of some sorts.

Kirishima's shaking hands are clenched at his sides and his head down-turned. Katsuki pats him on the back before stuffing his hand back in his pocket. His other hand running through his hair. His wound had scabbed over neatly and began healing.

When a gunshot rings throughout the street and people start screaming and fleeing the crime scene, Kirishima looks up at Bakugou with eyes filled with shame and determination.

"I have to help them," he says determined.

Bakugou sighs, knowing this would happen. Kirishima activates his quirk and runs through the glass door. The two masked men's attention turn to him. Bakugou groans, deciding to help.

He runs inside and past Kirishima, lunging and bringing an explosion to one of the man's side. He slides across the floor, gun spinning the other direction.

Kirishima lunges for the other, giving him a hard punch to the head, effectively knocking him out cold. Bakugou grabs the other's arm and pulls it behind him, earning a loud series of pained noises.

Kirishima looks at him and nods, heading to help escort the two fearful workers. When he returns, he ties up the unconscious man using some zip-ties found at the front of the store. He passes one to Bakugou who does the same.

By the time the heroes arrive, Kirishima has changed into fresh clothes and him and bakugou were talking casually, the men with tape over their mouth and limbs tied tightly. When they hear glass cracking under the heroes feet, they turn.

"Wow! You already dealt with the issue, impressive," Rock Lock says. "You're the kids from U.A., aren't you? The ones always caught up with villains?"

Kirishima nods.

"Let's go, Shitty Hair. I don't want to be around these bastards any longer," Bakugou scowls.

"That's Rock Lock, you can't say that," Kirishima says.

"He isn't very good if he can't even get to the scene of the crime fast enough." He glares at Rock Lock.

Rock Lock sighs. "I was dealing with another issue." He pulls out two crisp 10,000 ¥ bills and hands one over to each student. "Take it, as a thanks."

Bakugou rips it out of his hand and storms out of the room, Kirishima in close tow. They pick up the bags from just outside the building and begin walking down the streets.

"That was a bit harsh, don't you think?" Kirishima says.

"What's the point of being a hero if you can't get to the scene of the crime quick enough."

Kirishima pulls them off the topic. "You hungry? There's a café just down the street if you want to get anything."

Bakugou shrugs and Kirishima leads the way to the café. Kirishima orders a toasty while Bakugou orders a banana smoothie. After much convincing, Kirishima gets Bakugou onboard with helping him out the following day.
