Despite how boring school can be at times, Adrien was actually exited to go back. He finally got to see all his friends again, and miss bustier would be back as the teacher now she'd had her baby. He had a lot more freedom in general, so he was quite glad to get out of the house and have fun.

He hadn't been out much since the trail, wanting time to process and stay out of the spotlight. Nathalie and Emilie had done a great job supporting him and keeping the media away from him as he took the time to heal. Which he was still doing, but he was in a much better state. And Luka, god how he loved Luka. He'd been there through everything, calmed everything panic attack, listened to every rant, comforted every cry.

He was ready to be back in school again, back to normal.

"Adrien! Come on you'll be late!" Nathalie called out.

"One second!" Adrien called back, quickly stuffing his shoes on and grabbing his bag.

Rushing down the stairs he grabbed Plagg from midair as he went, stuffing the kwami in his pocket.

"Hey! I was going to get some breakfast thank you" Plagg complained.

"You already had a midnight snack Plagg. I'm gonna be late you can eat cheese at lunch" Adrien replied.

While hawkmoth was no more, he and ladybug still patrolled and helped out. Crime didn't sleep, neither did random disasters. They were still helping the city were it was needed as superheroes and were on standby in case another magic force showed up. And now that the world knew Cat Noir and Viperion were a couple, they were on the look out for whenever Viperion was given his miraculous to help out. Everyone wanted a glimpse of the couple.

And to no one's surprise, after the public announcement Cat made about it, #catnoirisabicon was trending on Twitter. He played into it of course, reposting memes about it.

"Oh honey! Before you go let me get a picture!" Emilie said, stopping him at the door.

"Ugh mum I'll be late" Adrien sighed.

"Just one, it's your last first day! You're gonna graduate this year honey!" She insisted.

"Fine"

Emilie had him pose with his school bag on the front porch, taking a million pictures like it was a professional photoshoot.

"Em, I think that's enough" Nathalie laughed.

"I'm just so proud of him, mothers excitement you know?" Emilie replied.

"I know, I know. But he'll be late we gotta go"

"Alright..."

Emilie kissed her son on the forehead and her girlfriend on the lips before waving them off and letting them get into the car to go. The drive wasn't that long, and they made it just on time as the bell went.

"Thanks Na- mum" Adrien said, quickly giving her a hug.

Nathalie smiled and returned the hug, feeling honoured to be called mum.

"Have fun!" She said, waving him off.

Adrien closed the car door and turned to head into the building when he heard his pet name be called out by a very familiar voice.

"Sunshine!"

On their bikes just arriving was Luka and his sister. Luka still went to another school, so he couldn't stay long. But he always stopped by when he dropped off and picked up Jueleka.

"Baby Blue!" Adrien smiled.

Luka got off his bike and jumped into a hug, the two pressing lips together for a kiss.

"Your songs are so good, I've read through everything you sent me. This weekend let's meet up and we can get a start on the instrumental" Luka said.

"Teach me how to play guitar, it'll really help me with composing" Adrien replied.

"Of course! You already know piano so that helps. You can read sheet music already"

"Thank you for helping with all this, I love you"

"I love you too. I gotta go, I'll be late. I'll see you after school though"

He picked up his bike again and for back on, giving Adrien one more kiss.

"Bye sunshine, see ya Juels!" He waved off.

"Bye!"

Jueleka gave him a playful whack on the arm as she locked up her bike at the racks.

"What?" Adrien snickered.

"You're soooo hung up on him man. You two are so lovey dovey I'm gonna get diabetes from the sweetness" she teased.

"I could say the same thing about you and rose"

They headed inside where all the students were gathered in the quad, collecting their timetables and class numbers from the teachers. They all already knew who their teachers would be, but not what class number they were in and who was in their class. Adrien had miss bustier again, well actually it was mrs now. She was married with a kid over the holidays. The students had one main teacher for all the core subjects. English, math, history etc. but a different one for science, sport the arts.

He collected his timetable, not too disappointed with it. It was a pretty decent schedule. Even a few free periods throughout the week for studying, not too bad. Heading into his new classroom he saw some of the class already inside. A few from last year and a few new faces from other classes.

Nathaniel was here, so was Rose and Alix. Marc was in his class this year unlike last time.

"BRRROOOOOO!"

Ah, he knew who that was.

Immediately he was tackled into a bro hug, Nino ruffling his hair.

"You're back! Damn dude it's so good to see you again! And your hair is longer, you going for the flowy locks look this year huh?" He asked.

"Nice to see you too. I'm thinking about growing it out yes" Adrien replied.

"You've gotta tell me everything that happened over the break. You moved right? And you have TWO MUMS?! That's so cool, way cooler than your old man. And Luuuukkaaa?"

Nino nudged him knowingly, in a teasing way.

"Yeah yeah I'll explain everything at lunch. It's just good to see you again dude" Adrien smiled.

"I missed you man, it was lonely without your dumb puns"

They took seats next to each other just like last year, chatting and watching the class fill up. A few new kids here and there, Marinette was late as usual, Alya unfortunately in another class this year making Nino rather annoyed. Jueleka was in the class too, sitting with Rose of course.

It was actually a pretty good class this year, no one overly annoying or mean. It was looking to be pretty fun. Finally when Mrs bustier came in, everyone had questions about the baby. Turns out it was a girl, and she was doing very well. Already starting to crawl.

She had everyone take turns talking about what they did over the break, the typical ice breakers. It was obvious not much work would be done today as everyone got into the swing of things. She also had everyone take turns and tell their goals for the year. School related, a personal goal, anything.

Finally, they got to Adrien.

"And Adrien, it's wonderful to have you back. I'm glad you're doing better. What's your goal for this year?" She asked.

"Well, over the break I realised I wanted to make music. So I'm writing an album and I hope to finish it by the end of the year" Adrien announced.

"Dude can I help? I'll DJ for you" Nino replied.

"Can I help with the cover art?" Nathaniel jumped in.

"Oh let me design the outfits for the music videos!" Marinette added.

Mrs bustier snickered at the sudden enthusiasm from the whole class, enjoying having the fun atmosphere back.

"Woah! One at a time, let Adrien finish. What's it about? Do you have a genre in mind?" she said.

"It's mainly going into the darker side of fame, since we all know I saw a lot of that last year. As well as the obligatory love song here and there. I'm not sure what I'd call the genre, it's very... particular. I've already almost finished the title track and yes, everyone can help" Adrien smiled.

"What's it called?" Nino asked.

"Pretty when I cry"

A series of oooh's and ahh's filled the room. Everyone liking the sounds of it, it rolled off tongue rather well.

Before Adrien could continue, the door to the classroom opened and someone stepped in. Adrien looked over and immediately felt his mood shift.

Lila.

"I'm ssoooo sorry I'm late! There was a crash on the freeway and we got stuck in traffic! Have I missed anything?" Lila said.

Something told Adrien that was a lie...

"Oh we're just doing some ice breakers. You haven't missed much, you can take that seat by the window. Welcome back Lila" Mrs bustier replied.

She took the seat, next to one of the new kids.

"Adrien was just talking about an album he's writing. It sounds like it's coming along well"

Adrien could feel Lila's gaze on him, burning through him. She wanted something from him, she always had. It annoyed Adrien a lot. He though maybe now he wasn't as rich and famous since his dad was in jail maybe she'd leave him alone. But that look she gave him was the same one as last year.

"It's coming along great, I'll let you all have first listen when it's done" Adrien finished.

"We all look forward to it. Now Nino, what about you" Mrs bustier said, moving onto the next person.

Adrien tried to focus on his friends goals, but he could still feel Lila glancing at him from across the room. She seemed peeved, he didn't know why but he didn't like this.

But he knew what whatever she wanted from him, she'd have to face Luka first.
