°~Birthday Special~°

Wowie, guys. I can't believe we're already past 100k. I never imagined being so far, and even now, we're growing every day.

I welcome those, new and old, to my little birthday special. I'm officially a year older, and have decided to celebrate it with you.

So without further ado, I present you with my birthday special.

Katsuki woke up with a start, his arms warm with your sleeping body. Your own were wrapped around his neck, forcing him back into the comfort of his bed. God, how he longed to stay alongside you under the sheets.

Instead, he tried his best to pry your hands from his neck. Succeeding rather quickly, Katsuki maneuvered himself off the bed as best he could without bothering you.

"Leaving so soon?" Your eyes were still brimming with sleep as you stared up at him with a tired expression. Nuzzling your head deeper into your pillows, you spoke again. "Make sure to leave some extra coffee for me, then."

Katsuki narrowed his brilliant ruby eyes at your constant laziness. Leaning down so his lips were nearly against your ear, he muttered. "Why don't you come make some for me?"

You groaned, hating how the hair on your arms stood on end as his warm breath met your skin. "You know, I really hate you." You dislodged your face from your fortress of comfort, sliding out of the covers and onto the cold carpet. You arched your back, raising your arms in the air to accompany your stretching.

Yawning furiously, you wobbled from your room to tail after your husband; Whom was now in the kitchen, opening a variety of cabinet doors as he gathered spices and fruits alike to cook.

"Do you think Suki's awake yet?" You asked Katsuki as you entered the kitchen. He shrugged his broad, muscular shoulders.

"Dunno. I doubt it, though. Suki wouldn't wake up for school if a fire had started in her room." You laughed at his comment. Opting to wake your daughter, you turned tail and began up the stairs once more.

Down the hall was illuminated by the bathroom light, which was kept on to 'keep the monsters at bay.' As your daughter put it, all the worst things come from the sewers.

"Suki!" You whispered, knocking on the already opened door. "Time to get up, sweetheart."

"Go away..." The child shifted beneath the covers, pulling them closer to her body. Sighing, you walked to her bedside and tugged her blankets away from her grasp.

Suki groaned, trying to snatch it back angrily. "No more school. Only sleep."

"Only school, no sleep." You responded shortly, rolling to your feet and wrapping the colorful blankets around your forearm subconsciously. "Get up and get ready."

She groaned, rolling out of her bed and onto the floor with a thud. "I'm sick today. Can't go."

You chuckled, turning to meet the pleading eyes of your daughter. "And I suppose you can't go to your fathers grand opening today either then?"

Suki sat up, eyes igniting in bright stars. "Thats today?" She exclaimed. "I suddenly feel much better!"

You laughed at your daughters antics, leaning in the doorway as you said, "Your uniform is down on top of the dryer. Made sure it was ready for today, wrinkle free."

Suki nodded, running past you and down the stairs. Her voice was just audible over her room fan, her having said hello and good morning to her father.

Unraveling the blankets from your arms, you tossed them haphazardly over your daughters pastel yellow bedsheets.

You reached up, flicking on the light above your head. Surprisingly, the room was rather clean. Lining the usually boring white walls was drawings of various shape and size. Pictures of which you had yet to see. Printed on the pages were images of both you and Katsuki as a still headline showed an unmoving caption.

It was the day the two of you had debuted. In which, after tireless weeks of tracking, you had managed to catch the one whom you called father and his goons.

You remembered that day so clearly. Smiling foldly, you noticed that just beside the headliner was a drawing. Drawn in crayon were three figures of various sizes. In a bright orange was a tall man with spiky hair. Beside him stood a woman drawn in blue, with (hair length), (hair texture) hair. In between the two was a shorter person, colored in yellow. She had (hair length) spiky hair that matched that of your daughter.

Above the trio was the words 'My Family', written in neat black letters.

"Hey, mom!" Suki called from down the hall. "Dad said breakfast is ready!"

Smiling, you responded. "I'll be there in a moment!" You turned from the papers and finished straightening the blankets. You left the room, only glancing back at the pictures one last time as you closed the bedroom door with a click.
