Prologue

The small bee fluttered from flower to flower, the black stripes of its back dull against the bright yellow. The sun was shining in the sky unusually for September, and the kids of Hogwarts where out soaking up the rare warm weather for Scotland.

The faint buzzing of the bee could be heard from the students as it flew by them, taking in the gossip of the day, "did you know James Potter asked out Lily Evans?" one girl spoke, wide eyed as she turned to her friend, "again? He should just give up it's never going to happen!" the other spoke, rolling her eyes with a small scoff until her hand flew up to whack the bee that just moved out of the way.

The bee flew down to the black lake, taking in the tiny reflection of its self in the water until it came across the four boys that seemed to always be the talk of the castle. Taking up a seat on one of the wild flowers, which didn't have the best pollen, but the bee wasn't interested in that.

"Moony-"

"Please, that is not my new nickname!" Remus Lupin scoffed, throwing his head back whilst the three other boys protested.

"Come on, Moony, we all have them!" Sirius Black huffed, "do you really think Padfoot suits me?"

"I made it up, course I do," the tall boy nodded, rolling his eyes whilst Peter Pettigrew piped in,

"At least you aren't wormtail!" he grumbled, a frown on his lips.

"Well, I happen to like mine!" James Potter grinned, pointing to himself whilst the others let out laughs.

"Yes, because you chose it, Prongs." Sirius grumbled, closing the book in his hand that he made no attempts to read.

"I can't believe you three actually done it," Remus shook his head, evidently disbelieved that his friends achieved something so complex and for his sake.

"Oh, don't act so surprised Moon- can any of you hear a bee?!" Sirius Black cut himself off, flicking his ear slightly as though the bee was right next to him.

"I can, actually," Remus nodded, his eyes narrowing slightly as he focused on the faint buzz of the bee fluttering around them.

"Oh no, I hate bees!" Peter squeaked, flinching slightly when the bee passed close to him, as though the buzzing got much more aggressive from the boy's words.

"Oh, just leave it alone, it's a harmless bee!" James exclaimed, waving his hand, almost laughing at his friends until the bee landed on his hand. His eyes widened as he furiously shook his hand, jumping in his spot to get away from it, and if you asked him, he would swear that he heard it laugh.

"It's not going to sting you if you stay still!" Remus laughed at his friends, watching as the bee hovered around him frantically, and as he sat still in his place, the bee fluttered away from him.

"Told you," Remus smirked, watching the bee fly into the air in the direction of the castle.

The bee zoomed past students, all squeaking and jumping away from it when they caught sight of it, and when the bee was finally in the castle, it floated down past professors doing their usual activities, down the stairs near the great hall until it came across the barrels that joined onto the hufflepuff common room.

When the bee was safely inside, seeing the roar of the fire illuminating the overstuffed black and yellow couches, and decorated with plants and beautiful flowers, the bee floated to the ground and in a few moments time, the bee wasn't a bee anymore but rather a young girl.

Her light brown hair floated down her back, her pale skin heating with the warmth of the fire and the freckles dotted around her cheeks resembled the ones that her older brother had. Her robes hadn't been lost when she morphed into the small creature, and she stood in her black robes adorned with yellow.

"Bea!" a third year chirped, "are you okay, you look confused?" the younger girl giggled, waving a hand in the fourth years' face until her daze was interrupted.

"Oh yes," she spoke softly, her angelic voice resembling dripping honey and the wide smile on her lips was mimicked by the young girl, "I'm fine, Peggy, thank you."

"No problem," the girl giggled once again, bidding a short goodbye and rushing out of the common room.

Phoebe Lupin, or most commonly known as Bea was a rather popular student at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but she wasn't really interested in it. Her brother was well known too, for being a part of the group the four self-named themselves as the marauders - a bit weird, if Phoebe was honest - and whilst people were attracted to Phoebe for her kindness, her happiness and her beauty, it seemed as though the exact opposite happened when she turned into the tiny creature with the black and yellow stripes that resembled the Hufflepuff colours.

Her choice to become an animagus was influenced by the three boys her brother called his best friend, of course unknown to them as she was in the Library when they were talking about it, and seemed unaware of her presence as they went over the instructions from a book they stole from the restricted section. She knew they were doing it to help Remus, and she wouldn't let them do it without her, she was very much - if not more - aware of what Remus went through every full moon, and she wouldn't be swept to the side whilst the boys got to help them.

Of course, her help would have to go unknown, as Remus would never know of her animagus form if her life depended on it.
