Jin POV

"Jin! Wake up! You're table reading is in 2 hours! Get ready!" Lee yells through my bedroom door.

Who the actual FUCK let him inside my house? I groan and roll over to see my alarm clock on my nightstand. It's only 12:39, why do I have to wake up so early? I slowly get up and stumble to my door, opening it to see Lee tapping his foot with a stern look on his face.

"Oh come on, Jin, can't you put any clothes on?" He gestures at my boxers.

"No, you just woke me up and you should know that I sleep in my underwear, Lee. I'll be ready here soon, okay? Lay off, man." I tell him, closing the door before he had a chance to say anything else.

I smirk to myself as I walk into my bathroom, turning on the shower and hopping in for longer than Lee would have wanted because I just want to piss him off. I get out of the shower and just throw on some clothes, meeting Lee in the living room with my hair still dripping wet. Lee gives me a stern look and grabs my shoulder, dragging me out of the house.

"Bye guys. I'll see you later." I wave to Jungkook and Jimin who were watching tv on the couch.

"Bye, hyung. Good luck at the table read thing." Jungkook smiles up at me.

I smile back and allow myself to get into the car with Lee. I take out my phone, pulling up bang PD nims number and texting him while sighing.

I want Lee fired. I can't do this anymore. He disregards my feelings all the time and he hurts me, both physically, emotionally and mentally. Please. Help me. I'm done with this.

I look at the passenger seat to see Lee talking on the phone with a fake smile on his face. I really didn't know why he wanted to be my manager in the first place. He doesn't protect me from the paparazzi, he spreads lies about me to the media and frankly, he's an asshole. I was too nice and let him stay for a long time, knowing that I would regret it later. My phone vibrated and I looked at the screen, smiling once I read the message.

Consider him gone. Please stop by so we can finalize everything and get you a new manager. I know you have the table reading today so please stop by sometime after that.

I jump up in my seat in excitement and I see Lee give me a weird look in my peripheral vision.

Will do, thank you sir.

I look out of the window at the passing buildings and people, trying my best to not look at Lee who was staring at me.

"What are you so excited about, Seokjin?" Lee asks me.

"Bang PD nim has something for me after the table read, so if we can stop by the building after then that would be great." I say, turning to look at him.

"Alrighty, we'll do that." Lee says.

His phone rings and he picks it up almost immediately, talking to what seemed like one of his friends.

"Oh yeah, he's right here...He's doing really good! I got him a spot on a movie and the table read is today...Yes, I did do that actually...Well obviously, you don't know me...Yes...I don't really care that you did that, is your client as famous as mine?...I didn't think so, now if you'll excuse me, I need to go. Good bye." Lee hangs up the call, satisfied with himself for telling off the person who was on the other line.

I roll my eyes and watch as the van stops in front of a movie studio, other black vans and paparazzi all around. A few cars ahead, there were twice as many paparazzi crowded around one car than all the other vans around. I scrunch my eyebrows and wonder who was in the car. The sliding door suddenly opens and a man dressed in black holds out his hand to me, trying to get me out of the car.

"Mr. Kim Seokjin, right this way please. The table read will start once everyone comes inside." He says.

Oh, I get it, he was a bodyguard. I take his hand and step out of the van, into the flashing lights of cameras. The bodyguard hands me a jacket to cover my head with, walking me toward the front of the building all the while.

"Jin? Where are you going? Don't you want to take pictures and answer some question by these people?" Lee gets out of the car and catches up to me.

"Are you serious right now? No, I don't want to do that, Lee. I'm tired and I just want to go to the table read, okay?" I press on, trying to talk quietly so none of the photographers could hear me.

Lee huffs in frustration and follows me into the building, trying his best to keep a smile on his face. Once safely inside, the man in black took the jacket off of my head and stayed by my side as we walked toward a room at the far end of the hallway.

"Seokjin, let me ask you something. Why can't you just let your picture be taken? Why can't you just answer some simple questions? Why are you so stubborn?" Lee stops walking and grabs my arm.

"Jung Lee Run, you keep making me do things that I don't feel comfortable doing. You know I hate having my picture taken in public yet you allow my face to be seen all the time. I'm sick and tired of you taking advantage of me." I say, shaking my arm out of his grasp.

I hear the front door open and more people come through.

"I do not do such a thing! I never take advantage of you!" Lee puts a hand over his heart like he was hurt.

I roll my eyes at his dramatics and keep walking toward the room when he stops me yet again, squeezing my shoulder a little too roughly.

"Seokjin, I don't appreciate you talking to me this way." Lee says darkly, digging his fingernails into my skin.

He was squeezing so hard that I was groaning softly in pain, leaning down to try to get him to stop touching me.

"Is there a situation here?" A woman's voice asks.

I turn to see who had said something and I had to do a double take as I couldn't believe who was standing in front of me. Yeum Areum Eun had a serious look on her face as she looked between Lee and the pained look on my face. Under her gaze, Lee loosened his grip and I was able to escape, holding my shoulder while looking at him in shock.

"We can talk later." Lee says, nodding his head in the direction of the room.

I turn to Areum and open my mouth to say thank you but Lee cleared his throat and I had a feeling that I didn't want to find out what he would do if I don't do as he asks. I give her a smile instead and follow Lee into the room, taking a seat furthest from the entrance. More people begin to fill the room and I look through the stack of paper, seeing a contract along with the script. I hear a chair being pulled back beside me but I don't bother looking up as I read through a semi concerning scene in the script.

"Areum, would you like to sit here?" A male voice asks.

"Sure. Thank you." I hear her answer.

Just hearing her voice made me look up at her. I didn't know someone's voice could sound so light and musical without them singing. I blink and look back down at the script, blushing a light pink as I read more of what the script entails. Maybe I shouldn't have accepted this part, this seems a little too X rated for me but I guess I could give it a shot. If I don't like it, then I can quit, I've heard of actors quitting right in the middle of acting when they didn't like doing something so it's not like its anything new. A woman walks into the center of the room and starts to let everyone know that it was time to shut up and sit down.

"Hey, guys! I want to start out by saying thank you for accepting the roles. I was scared that we were going to have to audition for parts but the people who I wanted in this movie are all here. So, what you have in front of you is the movie contract and the script. Now, I see some of you looking through the script and yes, this is an X rated movie so if any of you want out now, say so now or else you're stuck in the cast." She waits a moment and looks around the room.

Welp, there go my plans on leaving.

No one raises a hand or says anything.

"Okay, awesome! To get things started, yes, I am American if you couldn't tell from the awful korean going on here. But my name is Eva Longoria, I'm the director and I can't wait to work with all of you! Our main characters are Fyre, Hangsul, and Yurolo. Fyre is going to be played by the lovely and upcoming star, Yeum Areum Eun! Please stand miss Yeum!" Eva looks around the room and stops to smile at the girl next to me.

Areum gives a quiet, or nervous rather, laugh and stands to wave at everyone. She sits back down and Eva moves on.

"The leading role, Hangsul, will be played by Kim Seokjin! If you could, please stand, mister Kim." Eva moves her gaze onto me.

I stand and bow to everyone in the room, smiling when I stood up straight.

"Pleasure to work with all of you." I nod my head.

I feel a tug on my sleeve from Lee and I sit back down, internally rolling my eyes at his gesture.

"And finally, Yurolo will be played by Byun Baekhyun. Now, Hangsul and Fyre are the love interests but Yurolo is important because he is the gay best friend of Fyre. Now, I know that Mister Byun is not gay but that is where acting comes into play. Everyone else here, I have provided scripts with respective roles assigned. Do not worry, everyone gets a bit part so none of you are extras." She chuckles at the end of her small speech.

Some other people chuckled along but it was more out of relief that they actually had a good part in the movie. The rest of the time spent in the small conference room was spent on a cold reading and the parts where it was just two people speaking were skipped. We decided to save that for another day and just focus on the group parts. There weren't many but when there was, they were pretty long.

"Okay, we have kept you guys long enough. Please exchange each others numbers so people with one on one parts can practice with one another. Will the three leading roles please see me? Everyone else is dismissed. Have a good night! We will be meeting back here at noon tomorrow!" She waves a dismissive hand to everyone.

Baekhyun, Areum and I walk up to Eva, a nervous smile on my face.

"Okay guys. I know that there are a lot of sexual and intense parts so I just want to make sure you guys are okay with all of it." She raises her eyebrows.

"It's a first for me, but I guess I can try it." I say, turning a bit pink.

"Yeah same." Baekhyun says with a nervous smile on his face.

"Areum? You going to be okay?" Eva asks.

She stays quiet and I notice that she's looking at me. I tilt my head and smile at her encouragingly, raising my eyebrows.

"Y-Yeah, I'll be okay." She finally says, looking back at Eva.

"Great! Now, you three will be spending a lot of time together so I want you guys to become friends. Go out to lunch or just have some practice time and run through the lines, okay? I'll see you guys tomorrow." Eva says, gathering up her things.

I smile and bow at her, the two actors beside me doing the same. We exchange our phone numbers with each other and just stand awkwardly in silence after.

"Well, ahem, should we go get dinner or something?" Baekhyun breaks the silence.

"Oh, uh, I can't but you two can. I have to go see Bang PD nim and talk about a few things with him. But it was nice seeing you again, Baekhyun. It's a pleasure meeting you, Miss Yeum." I smile at her and bow at the both of them.

"Please call me Areum, Seokjin." She says.

"Then please, call me Jin." I wave and start to walk toward Lee.

He looked a little pissed off and he was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He leaves the room first and leads me down the hall a ways.

"What was that? Jin, you can do better than that! I know it was a table read but there should have been just a little bit of emotion in there! Why can't you do anything right?" Lee asks, his hands on his hips like he was my mother, reprimanding me.

"Well, why are you an arrogant bastard? You've been acting like a real asshole lately, Lee, and I don't appreciate it." I say, getting impatient.

"What did you just call me?" Lee asks.

I stare at him, not wanting to repeat myself because I didn't want to find out what he would do. Lee was taller than me and a bit buffer, he could do me in pretty good if I don't mind my tongue.

"That what I thought." He chuckles.

"Asshole." I mutter as he turns to start walking out of the building.

Before I could register what was going on, I found myself pinned against the wall with Lee's fingers wrapped around my throat. He had a scary look in his face and I try to pry his fingers off of me as my air supply was running low. He slaps my hands out of the way, simultaneously smacking my face pretty hard.

"Don't. You. Ever. Call me that again. You hear?" He growls.

"Yeah." I manage to squeak out.

"Let me get one thing straight here, Seokjin. You are just another pretty face for the cameras, you are nothing special. You think acting will make you something? No, I make you what you are. Without me, you wouldn't even be here. Get it through your thick skull that you are nothing more than a pretty face in a crowd of other pretty faces." He says.

He lets me go and I fall to the ground, gasping for air. Lee helps me up and I stumble to the side, feeling dizzy from standing up too fast.

"Oh come on, Seokjin, stop being overdramatic. Get in the car and we can go see what's his face back at the office building." He says, dragging me out of the building.

We get in the car and Lee gives the driver directions to the office after the man in the driver's seat had questioned my appearance.

"Now look, Seokjin, you are going to be stuck with me for a while and I would have thought you knew better than to talk to me in that manner. But if you ever disrespect me and talk badly about me again, there will be more extreme consequences." Lee says in a low voice.

My lower lip quivers at the thought of him beating my ass to a pulp.

"Driver, pull over. Right here is fine." I speak up.

"What are you doing? Gotta take a leak?" Lee asks.

"No. Get out. Now." I say.

"What? Driver, keep driving, he's spewing nonsense." Lee says.

"No, stay here. Get your abusive ass out of this van or you're fired." I put as much venom into my words as I could while giving him a death glare.

"Ha, you really think you can fire me? I'd like to see you try." Lee laughs.

I reach over him and open the door, gesturing for him to get out.

"Get out." I say.

He doesn't move, he just stares at me with wide eyes and his face starts to pale.

"Get the fuck out of this car, Jung Lee Run. You are fired. Leave now and there won't be charges." I say as calmly as I could.

He still doesn't move so I unbuckle his seatbelt for him and manually push him out of the car.

"If I see your face again, you're going to be facing jail time." I say.

I close the door.

"Please keep driving to the office building." I sniff.

The car starts moving again and I rub my nose, my hand coming back with blood on it. I scoff at it and just watch as the car speeds passed other office buildings until it stops at a familiar one.

"Thank you, very much. I really appreciate it. I never did get your name?" I ask.

"Jiho, sir." He smiles in the rearview mirror and hands me a tissue for my nose.

"Thank you, Jiho. I will see to it that you get a raise." I smile and leave the car.

I was grateful that the paparazzi didn't know where I was going after the table read. I enter the office building and run into Bang PD nim right on the ground floor.

"Oh my god, Jin! What happened?" He comes rushing to my side.

"Jung Lee Run happened. Please tell me you have another manager ready for me." I ask, hope in my eyes.

He takes me into the waiting area and asks the receptionist to treat my nose and my lip.

"Did he choke you?" She gasps.

I simply nod and look back up at the CEO.

"You're new manager is actually me." He smiles.

"Really? Thank god." I smile.

He smiles back and hands me a contract, giving me a ride back to my place once everything was sorted out. I sigh as I make my way up my front porch and unlock the door, opening it to see everyone still awake. The noise immediately died out when I stepped through the door, all six pairs of eyes on my face.

"Jin, what happened?" Namjoon asks, anger in his voice present.

"It's called firing a manager and getting a better one." I sigh.

"Oh, Jin, I'm so sorry." Hoseok comes up to me and gingerly touches my neck, trying not to hurt me.

I his in pain as his finger brushes over one of the bruises.

"It's okay. I've been through worse with him." I lightly chuckle.

"That isn't something to laugh about." Namjoon says.

"It is when I almost died shooting By Thy Hand." I say, lifting up my shirt to show them a scar on my side.

"That bastard. I'll kill him." Jungkook growls from the kitchen table.

"I told him that if I ever see him again then he is going to be doing jail time." I sigh, leaning on the wall.

There is silence as Namjoon walks up to me. He stares at my face, brushing a thumb over my busted lip and bending down to examine my neck. He even lifts up my shirt to see my scar.

"What was this from?" He whispers.

"He...he, uh, he was mad that I made a mistake so he threw my mirror onto the ground. And then...well, then he pushed me into the broken pieces." I say quietly.

He stares at me, wrapping his arms around me after a while to give me a big hug. I could hear him sniff and I knew that he was getting emotional.

"Hey, it's done and over with now, there's no use in crying over it." I say, patting his back.

"It's not about that, during the shooting, you should have told us. I asked you if you were okay and you said yes. Do you not trust us? Do you not trust me?" Namjoon asks.

"It's kinda hard trusting people when you're own manager turns against you." I whisper.

"Jin hyung, I love you." Namjoon says.

I begin to break down in his arms and I feel more arms wrap around me as the guys all give me one big group hug.

"We all love you, Jin hyung. Don't you ever forget that. You can trust us, okay? We are your family whether you like it or not." Namjoon says.

The tears were coming out of my eyes like a waterfall and I had no control over my emotions. I wrapped my arms around the nearest boy, who happened to be Namjoon. My legs give out and all of us come tumbling to the floor in a fit of laughter.

"You guys have no idea how much I missed you." I smile at them.

"We missed you more, Jin hyung." Jimin says.

"Jin?" Taehyung asks.

I turn to him with a smile on my face and raise my eyebrows.

"What's for dinner?" He asks.
