Chapter Three
Yoongi
My lips curved up into a smile as Jungkook took Jimin's phone and held it above his head.
"Kookie, give it back!" He pouted as he stood on his toes to reach it. Jungkook shook his head and smiled down at Jimin.
"What do I get in return?" He waved the phone in the air. I chuckled to myself and handed a person their change, not minding that they were rude to me five seconds ago.
I'd been working here for almost two weeks and I would say that I'm getting used to how everything works here. Jin and Taehyung are nicer than ever, and I like the other three guys as well. And Jimin, too.
Namjoon was nice to Jin and everyone else, and he was very shy at some times. Jungkook was shy when I first met him, but now he makes jokes about me and with me.
Hoseok and I didn't necessarily talk at first, but now he's talkative and he's a funny guy.
Needless to say, I like it here.
Taehyung and Jin invited me to "game night" with everyone. They told me they try to do it at least once a month to relieve stress, so I just shrugged and agreed. It's not like I even had anything better to do anyways.
When I arrived at Taehyung and Jimin's house, I straightened out my shirt and breathed in the fresh winter air.
It was slightly snowing, only a few often flakes falling into my black hair. I frowned and shook my hair with my hand, not wanting it to go flat.
I finally made it to the door and knocked lightly. A moment later, Jimin appeared in the door. He looked past me and out into the driveway. "Oh my- it's snowing!" He screeched and looked up at me.
Once he realized that I was standing there with a raised eyebrow, he scoffed at me. "Snow is so precious, don't look at me like that!" He whined as he pushed past me and into the snow. I felt my lips curl up and I stopped.
I knew that the feeling in my stomach wasn't from eating anything bad or any sickness.
The feeling in my body was from watching Jimin merely run out into the snow with a smile on his face as he raised his arms.
The feeling I had was close to the feeling that I had loathed for forever. I remember developing my first crush and feeling this shit.
Fucking butterflies.
I shook my head and pictured someone punching me out of my little trance.
Jimin was just an acquaintance, and that's all he'll ever be to me. Acquaintance. Friend?
Nothing more.
I looked into the house and stepped in with a frown. I looked into the living room and saw all of the boys sitting in a circle. Taehyung looked up at me and smiled widely.
"Yoongi, truth or dare?" He asked as I placed my coat on the wall hanger. I tilted my head and furrowed my eyebrows. It was such a middle school game, but I was curious as to what he was going to do to me.
"You pick," I shrugged.
That was a mistake.
I could tell that it was a mistake just by the little smirk he had on his face. "Okay," he looked around at the other boys and smiled. "I dare you to kiss Hoseok's cheek every time that Jimin says your name." He smiled. "Just until the nights over, no big deal." He giggled.
The dare wouldn't have been too bad if he hadn't told the others that we couldn't tell Jimin what was going on.. and the fact that Hoseok was almost a complete stranger.
I scrunched up my nose and flicked Tae's head. "Wouldn't Hoseok think it's weird to be kissed by a stranger, Tae?" I asked him.
Hoseok shook his head and smiled. "I'm totally fine with that," he laughed.
I poked out my lips and furrowed my eyebrows as Jimin walked into the house. He had snow all over him and he was almost wet.
"Hey guys, it's snowing outside." He said.
His smile was the most genuine smile that I had ever seen and his cheeks were red from the cold. "Why didn't you wear a jacket out there?" I asked him. He looked at me and then took the blanket that Jin was covered with.
Jin pouted, But said nothing.
"Because I wanted to go play in the snow." Jimin stated. Good. He hasn't said my name.
Jungkook smiled his bunny looking smile and looked at Jimin. "Don't you think that Alex looks great today?" He pointed at me.
Jimin squinted in my direction and then his eyes widened. "I-I mean.. I thought his name was Y-Yoongi but.. sure." He stuttered.
My eyes darkened as I looked at Jungkook. He smiled innocently at me and pointed his eyes in Hoseok's direction. The other guys looked at me with gleaming eyes as I stepped forward.
"My name is Yoongi," I stated.
I bent down in front of Hoseok. His face was already read and he was a giggling mess. He looked me dead in the eyes and whispered "I know this is fake, but I feel the love Yoongi." he joked as I grimaced at him.
I rolled my eyes and placed a quick peck on his cheek, leaving everyone else to hold in laughs. Well, everyone expect Jimin.
He had a confused look on his face, still not knowing what was happening at the moment.
"Y-Yoongi, why did you kiss Seokie?" Jimin asked me. I rolled my eyes as Hoseok laughed even harder. I placed another kiss on his cheek and smiled a little too sweetly at him.
"Because he's just the bestest human in the world," I said sarcastically and glared at Taehyung. "Don't you think?" I asked.
Tae nodded his head and looked at me with a smile that could light up the whole world.
"It's your turn, Yoongi." He said.
I smiled and took the opportunity to look at Jin, who was curled up into Namjoon with his arms wrapped around his waist. "Jin, my wonderful friend, truth or dare?" I asked.
Jin immediately said "truth" and I squinted.
He didn't want to get caught up in a dare like I had, so he went the easy way out. I huffed as I sat down in between Tae and Hoseok.
"Fine, what was the last lie you told?" I asked him. His face went stiff along with his body. He looked at Namjoon and smiled weakly.
Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows and clutched his chest. "Don't tell me you lied to me.." He said dramatically. Jin chuckled and hugged him tighter. "I lied about the amount of money I spent earlier. I actually.. failed to mention that I bought a chocolate bar for Hoseok."
Namjoon's face softened and he sighed out of relief. "Baby, I thought you actually lied about something big." He said. "You can buy a hundred chocolate bars for all I care, but just know that we'll be homeless if you do."
"Joon, we're kind of rich-"
"But then I'll get attached on chocolate bars and you'll have to buy them all the time."
Jin looked at Namjoon and shrugged. "True," He said and looked around the room for his next victim. His eyes landed on Jimin and he smiled down at him. "Truth or dare?"
Jimin began to think for a minute before he let out a silent "dare," as he bit his lip.
Jin smiled too eagerly as he jumped off of Namjoon. "Okay, I dare you to.." he looked around the room once again and his eyes landed on me. "Try and make Yoongi smile."
He gave me a knowing look as I sat there. He knew that I was the master of letting nobody make me smile, not even him or Tae had managed to make me smile in this game.
They had always tried, but my poker face was always the best. Or- I thought it was.
When Jimin was sat in front of me, smiling like a little kid with candy, trying to make me smile, I couldn't help but start failing.
He was making funny faces at me and I almost lost- but when he reached his finger out and tapped my nose with a "boop" noise, I couldn't help but let my gummy smile show.
It was too cute to not smile at.
His smile got wider and his eyes creased up into crescent moons as he fell over onto me and giggled. "I did it!" He yelled happily.
I tried to hide my smile as the other boys looked at me, but I couldn't. Jimin was laying over my legs as he laughed, and he held onto my arm. Next thing I knew, it was his turn.
When the game finally finished with everyone daring Jimin to say my name — so I'd be forced to kiss the cheek of a stranger, we decided call it a night. He still had no clue what happened.
He just sat there confused with his bottom lip in between his teeth, biting too harshly.
Slowly, people started leaving one by one.
Jungkook left.
Hoseok left.
Jin and Namjoon..
And that left me. I was still here, enjoying Taehyung and Jimin fighting over which Vampire Diaries actor was the cutest.
I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"I guess I should leave you two at that." I laughed a little. They both pouted as they looked at me. Tae held onto my arm and Jimin held onto my shirt. "Don't go," they begged.
I furrowed my eyebrows and looked down at them. "It's already late, just stay here." Tae said with his big brown puppy eyes. I couldn't help but sit back down on the couch and nod.
"We have a guest room," Jimin stated.
Taehyung looked at me and nodded. "Yeah, it's the room I told you about when I offered you to live here." He grinned at me.
Jimin looked at him like he was a genius and he opened his mouth wide open. "Oh, that would be so fun, TaeTae!" He practically cheered to him as he clapped his hands.
I smiled to myself and shook my head.
These two are unbelievable.
