It was dark, and rainy, and cold.
He hated the rain, especially in the night, and especially during winter. He was just glad it wasn't snowing.
His body was aching with bruises, scratches and wounds that were healing rather quickly as he crawled to the nearest house he could find. Maybe if he was lucky, the owner would bring him in and he'd be able to eat the unlucky human.
He didn't care; he was starving.
He let out a tired groan as he collapsed on the cold, wet concrete steps of the giant house and closed his eyes. It was his fault for picking fights with others like him when he wasn't full.
He knew very well he wouldn't be able to beat any of them.
"Fuck it," he snapped, scaring off a couple of crows that were in a nearby tree, "I'm gonna fucking eat the next person that touches me."
And as he drifted off into unconsciousness, he felt someone's shake him and speak to him in a panicked manner. He smirked softly before fainting.
He had found his next meal.
-
"Eh? So you're saying a guy as handsome as him just happened to be on your front door last night?"
A tall, brunette haired male nodded frantically. "Yeah! I'm not lying, believe me, Hoseok, you know I don't have time for relationships—"
"Oh, Seokjin, lying is one thing but going this far to reject the fact that this is your one night stand partner?" His friend chuckled and he leaned in. "So, how drunk were both of you?"
Seokjin swatted him before turning around to make sure the rather muscular boy was still asleep. His hair was still fluffy from the shower that Seokjin had given him and he blew a breath in relief.
"We were not drunk. Just ask him when he wakes up: maybe he'll remember."
Hoseok stifled a laugh. "Key word: maybe."
Seokjin gulped down a mouthful of his tea. "Shut up."
Hoseok smiled amusedly and tipped his mug to his lips. "So, how's the company running, Mr. CEO?"
Seokjin shrugged. "People are buying the bracelets, and I'm making money. I'd say it's going well."
Hoseok laughed in disbelief. "So people actually think those bracelets will ward off vampires?"
"Hey, they work well enough." The brunette leaned over to flick the orange-haired male's forehead but he quickly dodged Seokjin's attack.
"I'm just glad you didn't make them garlic scented. That's all a myth." Hoseok hummed. "Besides, you'd smell terrible if you did."
"Humans can't detect the smell." Seokjin reminded. "It's the vampires that can."
A groan interrupted the both of them and both gazes whirled around to spot the mysterious boy sit up on the couch, rubbing his head. He looked rather cute in his dazed morning state: and to Seokjin's suspicion the boy's wounds and bruises had all faded. Weird.
The boy flickered open both eyes with a small yawn, stretching his arms out before locking his gaze with Seokjin. Awkwardly, he raised a hand and waved.
"How are you feeling?" Seokjin asked softly, and he cursed silently at Hoseok who chuckled and stood up.
"Well, I'll leave you two be. Have fun." He sang, winking at the boy before leaving Seokjin's home. Seokjin glowered at him and smiled at the boy apologetically.
"Sorry, he's a little enthusiastic." Seokjin pursed his lips as the boy continued to stare, saying nothing. "S-so, are you hungry?"
The boy was quiet for a couple of moments. "Very."
He blinked, taken aback. He didn't expect such a person to have a voice that deep. It was rather sexy, opposite of his cute looks.
"Well, that's good. I don't mean to brag, but I am a good cook myself. What would you like to eat? Drink?"
"Blood."
Seokjin frowned. "What was that?"
The boy shook his head and smiled, looking up.
"Do you have coffee?"
-
Seokjin watched as the boy sipped his coffee rather slowly. He was a bit frustrated: the boy wouldn't say anything. He had gotten nothing but his age and name, and he had found out that he was older.
"So, Taehyung, do you have any friends or family that I could call to pick you up?" Seokjin asked.
Taehyung paused. "I have a couple. But I'd rather stay here until I get better."
Seokjin frowned. "Your wounds seem to heal awfully fast." He sat himself in front of Taehyung. "Are you on some sort of...drug?"
He saw the blonde stiffen up. "I have a strong immune system."
Still frowning, Seokjin shrugged. "Hm. I mean, in this world it's possible."
Taehyung finished his coffee and looked up at Seokjin. "What do you mean by that?"
"Think about it: out world is full of creatures that were once considered fairy tales and simply myths." Seokjin looked down at his socks. "It's a little scary, but life goes on."
Taehyung remained silent.
"What kind of creature?"
Seokjin looked up and shrugged.
"Vampires."
