Chapter 63 - Ji Soo
Choi Seung-Hyun cracked a smile as he watched Jang Mi marching angrily down the halls of a high school. He smiled watching her mumble small angry words as she held a scowl on her face. They both finally approached the offices for the teachers. Jang Mi slid the door fast, not caring that it made a loud bang while doing so. Choi Seung-Hyun couldn't help but smile at how cute she was when she gotten angry and over protective. Which was why he stood still not saying anything. For once, she was angry and it wasn't towards him.
"Where is he?" Jang Mi snapped to the teachers who stood at their desks shocked. "Ji Soo!" Jang Mi shouted through the room looking for him.
"Noona." Ji Soo called out from the back corner of the room.
Jang Mi rushed to him and stood shocked at the state that Ji Soo was in. Ji Soo sat in a chair next to one of the teacher's desks. He had a black eye, a cut lip and a bruised up cheek. Jang Mi gasped and cupped his face, turning it every which way checking his bruises and cuts. Even Choi Seung-Hyun was shocked. Ji Soo was a nice kid, he shouldn't look this way from other students. Choi Seung-Hyun felt shocked to see someone as nice as Ji Soo get hurt from other students. It was hard not to like Ji Soo.
"Noona." Ji Soo groaned in pain.
Jang Mi bent down and whispered, "Tell me the truth, did you start it? I'm about to make a big scene and I don't want to look stupid if you started it." She said.
Ji Soo shook his head. "No. I promise. They threw the first punch and hyung told me not to fight outside of the ring so I didn't defend myself."
"That idiot." Jang Mi ran a hand through her hair. "Alright. You did good. Now Noona is going to be making a big scene so be prepared." Ji Soo nodded and Jang Mi stood up straight. "Exuse me? Who is in charge of punishing my brother?"
"Brother?" One of the teachers asked. "He's an orphan. He has no records of having any siblings."
Jang Mi scoffed. "Of course he claims to be an orphan. His siblings are celebrities. He was hiding it. He wouldn't have called me if it weren't important." Jang Mi inhaled and exhaled. "Again! Where is the teacher that is punishing my brother for fighting?"
A tall man walked out. "I'm Song Joo Won. I'm in charge of discipline around the school."
Jang Mi nodded. "Okay good. What is my brother being punished for?" Jang Mi asked.
"He got into a fight." Teacher Choi said.
Jang Mi looked around the office to find that there were no other students in the office. "Did he fight himself? Because I don't see anyone else but him."
"He fought three other students." He replied.
Jang Mi nodded. "Where are they?" She snapped. "My brother is being punished for fighting but I don't see the other students who he fought with." Jang Mi placed a hand on her hips. "Call those three boys out." Jang Mi demanded. "Now!" She snapped.
"Bae Jang Mi-ssi, you shouldn't overreact. We already handled the other three." Another teacher spoke up.
"So they're punished as well?" Jang Mi asked but nobody said anything. "Ji Soo?" She said turning to Ji Soo for answers only to receive a shake from his head. "Bring them out."
"We cant." One of the teachers piped in.
"Bring the students who were involved with fighting with my brother." Jang Mi snapped. "I want them out or I'm calling the cops and the lawyer to sue everyone in this room."
"We can't call them out. He's the principal's son." Another teacher said shyly.
Jang Mi nodded her head and looked around the room. "That's actually great news. That means the child's parent is already here. You're more than welcome to call the principal. Do it while I'm being nice."
Jang Mi sighed. Choi Seung-Hyun couldn't help but admire her. Even when she was shouting and mumbling curse words under her breath like some scary lunatic, he found her to be absolutely adorable. She's short and cute yet she scolded teachers around the room like she owned the place. She sized up to them like she would anyone twice her size. That wasn't the only part that made him smile. It was the fact that his thoughts were telling him how amazing she would be as a mother. She was going to love and protect their child like she does with Ji Soo. And she'll look cute doing it.
"Is that Nation's Ideal Type?" Someone whispered loudly.
"Wha~~ she's pretty in person too."
"I should ask for an autograph."
Jang Mi's head snapped to the door to see three students standing there talking to each other. "Ji Soo-ah, is that them?" Jang Mi asked.
"Yes, Noona." Ji Soo said obediently.
Ji Soo has seen Jang Mi attacking Ji Hoon before. He's seen her do it countless of times. Ji Hoon may be big but Jang Mi could easily take him down. She held higher authority in Ji Soo's eyes. Jang Mi's words overruled Ji Hoon's words. It wasn't only because Jang Mi could get scary at some moments, especially the one they were currently in, but also because Ji Hoon wasn't the brightest star in the sky. He was an amazing fighter but he couldn't really put his brain to good use. Ji Soo didn't lie or act up when Jang Mi asked him a question. It was why he was being completely honest and obedient while being in the office the whole time.
"Where is that principal?" Jang Mi asked looking around at the teachers. "Now that the kids are here, she needs to hurry."
"She said she's on her way." A teacher said.
Jang Mi nodded and went to stand by Choi Seung-Hyun. He never said anything, he never moved and he never left. He just waited for his love to assess the problem at hand. He was having more fun watching it if anything. Ji Soo sat awkwardly in his chair, as all the teachers surrounded him along side the three other students. Those three were just as confused. They were called into the office. They find Ji Soo sitting bruised up which is what they expected. The teachers were nervously standing around, not daring to sit in their office chair. The three students definitely didn't expect to see Bae Jang Mi or Top. They looked like card board cut outs standing inside their teacher's office.
"Why is it so loud in here?" A lady walked in dressed in a pencil skirt and button down white shirt, topped off with a black blazer. "Ji Soo? Why are you still here?" She snapped. "Why is he still here?" She asked looking around the room to the teachers for answers.
Jang Mi left Choi Seung-Hyun's side. "He's here because I need answers." Jang Mi said sternly.
"Answers? And who are you?" She asked. "Ah~ you're an actress." She said in a mocking tone. Looking down on Jang Mi and Jang Mi's career choice. "What do you have to do with the important issues in our school?"
Jang Mi scoffed. "I'm Ji Soo's Noona. What more do I need to be to get involved in a problem involving my brother?" Jang Mi snapped.
This caused the three students to gasp. "No way." One said.
"How's that possible? He's an orphan." The principal said.
"Does that make it any better? Picking on him?" Jang Mi sighed annoyed with everything. "Why is he getting punished, but those three are not getting punished?" Jang Mi asked.
"They did nothing wrong." The principal said confidently.
"They did nothing wrong?" Jang Mi scoffed in offense. "Ji Soo, stand up." He automatically stood up. "Lift up your shirt." He hesitantly did. "You three, lift up your shirts." She pointed to the three students who stood still. "Do it now, or I will do it for you." She said in a low and intimidating tone. The three lifted their shirts. "Ji Soo's body is covered in bruises. Those three aren't. So I'm asking again, why is Ji Soo getting punished?" Nobody said anything. "Okay. I'll just say a theory about the situation at hand. Ji Soo is getting punished because he's seen as an orphan and nobody can defend him. Which by the way is wrong. You're all lucky my older brother didn't come first." Jang Mi rolled her eyes mentioning her useless older brother. "One out of those three is the child of the principal which means he automatically gets away with murder. So long as it's done within the school grounds. You teachers are afraid to punish him because you all could lose your jobs, which causes him and his friends to walk around the school like they own the place." Jang Mi went to Ji Soo and hooked her arms with his. "This school is ran by a principal with no morals as a principal and a mother. If that's the case, I don't want my brother attending this art school."
"Noona..." Ji Soo complained.
"Shut it." She said sternly. "You'll get papers from my lawyer. Please send me transfer papers for my brother. Send it to YG Entertainment so it's easier to find. I will send him to a better art school than this one." Jang Mi said speaking to the principal. She turned to look at Ji Soo. "From now on, don't listen to Ji Hoon. Don't fight outside of the ring is a rule for MMA fighters. You're not an official MMA fighter. If kids are beating you up, you better kick their asses." Jang Mi said loud enough for everyone to hear.
"You're not really going to sue them right Noona?" Ji Soo asked in a whisper.
Jang Mi smiled and shook her head. "Imagine the anxiety she's going to go through just by waiting for the papers from my lawyers." Jang Mi smirked.
The three walked out of the school and into Choi Seung-Hyun's car. Choi Seung-Hyun was going to be busy at with Big Bang promotions for their recent comeback. He has been busy lately but since Jang Mi received a call from Ji Soo that morning, Choi Seung-Hyun couldn't let Jang Mi go there on her own. He wasn't afraid of the way people might treat her, more like the way she treated people is what worried him. Witnessing it today, he was right. However he was happy seeing her being protective of someone she loves.
Pulling up to Jang Mi's apartment complex, Jang Mi and Ji Soo got out of the car. They moved since adding Ji Soo onto their family registry. They needed to get him a room and Jang Mi spent a lot of money on everything Ji Soo needed. Jang Mi had found out he had no bed nor did he have a place to put his clothes so he just kept them in a suitcase. Ji Soo claimed it was easier for him that way because he was able to move place to place with light baggage. Meanwhile Jang Mi was having a mild heart attack from the way her poor youngest sibling was living.
"Call me when you're done." Jang Mi said as she leaned over the passenger seat with her lips ready for a kiss goodbye.
"Okay." Choi Seung-Hyun replied leaning towards her and kissed her for a few minutes. "I'll talk to you later." He smiled as Jang Mi closed the door and watched him drive off.
"Ji Soo, does it hurt?" Jang Mi asked as her hand brushed the bruises on his face.
"Not that much." He replied. "Noona, I have a question." He said as they walked towards the building. "Is it possible for me to become an actor?"
Jang Mi looked at him. "Is that why you've been attending an arts high school instead of a regular one?" Jang Mi asked pressing the button for the elevators. She turned to look at him after he hadn't answered. "Is it?"
Ji Soo scratched the back of his neck and scrunched up his face. "Yeah, but it's probably impossible right?" He asked.
Jang Mi walked into the elevator, followed by Ji Soo who pressed the button to take them to their floor. "It's only impossible if that's the way you're thinking about it."
"But how do I become one under a big company like YG Entertainment." He asked.
Jang Mi scoffed. "Do you think it was easy? Yah~ I had a hard time getting into YG. I failed three times. I think they only accepted me because I could speak English." Jang Mi sighed.
Ji Soo huffed a breath of defeat. "Oh..." he said discouraged.
"Aye! I didn't say you couldn't become one. Just don't have your heart set out on YG only. Try out for all companies who are holding audition. My heart was set on SM but they fully denied me four times while YG accepted me the fourth time I tried. It doesn't matter what company you're in, so long as you're doing what you love." Jang Mi said walking out of the elevators.
"You and hyung are so good at English. How can I become as good as you two." Ji Soo asked watching Jang Mi punch in the code for their apartment.
Jang Mi chuckled. "It's only easy on Ji Hoon and I because we were raised in America for a little while."
"What school do you think I should be transferred to?" Ji Soo asked as he walked into the apartment and taking his sweater off.
"You chose that school because it was cheap. I'll send you to any school you want. I don't care about the expenses. I'll also help you with your English so you'll have a leg up in the school." Jang Mi smiled.
Ji Soo looked blankly at Jang Mi who stared blankly back at him. His eyes glazee over with tears as he stood there. Jang Mi raised an eyebrow and started to internally panic at seeing him in this state once again. Jang Mi pulled him into her tiny body and wrapped her arms around him. She was patting his back as he sobbed loudly into her chest. Jang Mi looked up to stop the tears that was starting to build up at the brim of her eyes. Ji Soo didn't have parents and although Jang Mi had a mom and dad, she knows what it's like not to have any. Her mom was anything but a mom and she wanted to be a mother figure to Ji Soo who never experienced it before. Which was what broke Jang Mi's heart the most about Ji Soo. He was such a sweet kid but he had a bad background. Jang Mi was glad to have him as a brother.
...
I felt like there was a lack of Ji Soo in most chapters so I dedicated a whole chapter just for Ji Soo. I don't know how you guys would feel about that so I, decided to post two chapters up.
That's an actual picture of Ji Soo....Ji Soo is also his real name. Isn't he so handsome?
