Jang Mi pulled her sweater over her body and left her room. She still couldn't believe she lived in such a nice apartment. Although it still lacked in the furniture department, Jang Mi's brother promised they would go shopping for furniture soon. The apartment was nice and warm during winter and even during summer it'd be nice and cool. She felt like a home should feel this way. Now with her brother back, she never felt more at ease with being home. Her house didn't feel empty. Ji Hoon would often have his other friends over. The ones he trained with. They ate more than Jang Mi could ever imagine. She wanted to eat like them. She was mad because Ji Yong had told her that she needed to go on a diet. Not because she was fat but because she needed to be physically ready for a debut. Jang Mi understood. Since quiting the dream of being a singer, she let her health go. Meaning she ate everything she wasn't supposed to. Her new diet plan in her head, was to eat everything and exercise to help keep up with her high intake of calories.

"Jang Mi-ah!" Ji Hoon shouted.

Jang Mi jumped, startled by his sudden appearance. "Oppa!" She smacked his arm. "Why did you scare me like that?" Jang Mi held her chest as she breathed.

"I wasn't trying to." He shrugged while shoving a triangle kimbap into his mouth. "Where are you going so early in the morning?" He said with a full mouth.

Jang Mi side stepped him and went into the kitchen. "I told you already. Ji Yong oppa is going to be helping me with my debut. So I have to go right now." Jang Mi searched the fridge for anything to eat but came empty handed.

"Can I come?" Ji Hoon asked as he took a coffee cup off the counter and gave it to her. "It's hot cocoa." He smiled.

Jang Mi took it and smiled. "Thanks." After taking a sip she shook her head. "You can't come." Jang Mi said walking to the front door.

"Why not? I want to be a part of this wonderful experience in my baby sister's life." Ji Hoon said following her.

Jang Mi sighed while slipping on a pair of booted heels. "You can't come because you have training. Besides, without my oppa, I wouldn't have been able to become a singer. You're the reason why I'm now able to achieve my long dream. Besides, I wouldn't want to stop you from fighting just for me. I'm going now." Jang Mi smiled.

"My little sister! Fighting!" Ji Hoon said while holding a fist up.

Jang Mi smiled. "Fighting." She said copying the same motion with her hand.

After leaving her apartment, Jang Mi went down the elevators and out into the world of Seoul. The streets were busy with people walking to their destination in a rush. Something usual in Seoul. YG Entertainment wasn't that far so Jang Mi decided on walking there. The snow that fell over night was evident as it graced the streets of Seoul in small white piles. Jang Mi took sips of her hot cocoa to help warm herself. She was loving the site she saw with every passing moment.
After finally making it into the building of YG Entertainment, she ran in. She smiled happily, upon seeing Min Hyo Rin in the door waiting for her.

"Jang Mi-ah, I've been waiting for you." Hyo Rin smiled as she approached Jang Mi. "What took you so long?" Hyo Rin asked.

Jang Mi shook her head in annoyance. "Ji Hoon oppa kept bugging me to come. I told him he couldn't cause he has training." Jang Mi shook her head with a sigh. "I don't know what I'm going to do with that oppa of mines."

Hyo Rin laughed, imagining Ji Hoon begging Jang Mi to come with her. "Come on! Ji Yong-i said he was waiting for you."

Jang Mi smiled happily and hooked her arm with Hyo Rin as they made their way up the steps. Hyo Rin lead her to a recording studio that had a curtain covering the door. It helped refrain from anyone seeing them on the inside. Jang Mi smiled excitedly. She felt bubbly inside. She was really doing this. She even was blessed to be able to do it with Kwon Ji Yong. A big name in the industry was helping her become a singer.
With an intake of her breath, Jang Mi and Hyo Rin walked into the studio. It was equipped with everything a studio should have. On the left side of the room, sat a beige leather couch set that looked as soft as a cloud. In front of the couch was a table that had a computer on it and extra space where Jang Mi imagined herself eating on it. The sound board sat in front of a huge window that gave a view on the inside of the recording booth. Surprisingly, Ji Yong wasn't in the room alone.

"Oppa." Jang Mi said as she called for Ji Yong's attention. "We're here." She smiled.

Ji Yong looked up from the computer and at the door. "Oh good. Make sure the door is locked." Ji Yong left the computer to introduce Jang Mi to a very important aspect of the YG Family. "Jang Mi-ah, this is Teddy. He's the music producer. Teddy, this Bae Jang Mi and Min Hyo Rin." He said. "He's going to be helping you out the most since I'm going to be busy."

Jang Mi smiled as both Jang Mi and Hyo Rin bowed. "Hello. Teddy, thank you so much for helping me. I know how busy you are." She said shaking Teddy's hand.

Teddy smiled. "It's alright. No matter how busy I am, I love new projects. This seemed very interesting." Teddy smiled as he sat in the office chair at the soundboard. "I heard you sang an Ali song."

Jang Mi nodded. "Yeah. It's an OST."

Teddy smiled. "I know. Ali is an amazing singer." Teddy turned to the soundboard. "Now since we don't really have a set soundtrack or a set lyrics for you, President Yang suggested doing songs with YG artists. He gave us a list." Teddy handed Jang Mi a piece of paper.

Jang Mi unfolded it and looked down at the list. "Why are there so many 2ne1 songs on here?" Jang Mi asked.

Teddy shrugged. "President Yang said Park Bom wouldn't be able to make it in the beginning of the show. So you're just there to fill in. Since it's you're debut stage, and it's uncommon for people to debut during a family concert, President Yang wants you to choose two 2ne1 songs that you could perform along side the other three. It would help you get more popular." He explained.

Jang Mi bit her bottom lip. "Am I even good enough for a 2ne1 song?" She asked.

Before Teddy spoke, Hyo Rin tsked her. "Yah, I told you many times. You're totally YG Entertainment material. You can be full of charisma and be sexy too." She smiled.

Ji Yong and Teddy looked at each other and then back at Hyo Rin. "Right what she said." Teddy smiled.

Ji Yong nodded. "The only way for you to prove that you're good enough for any 2ne1 song or any song for that matter, is if you believe in yourself. You could have all the skills in the world to be a singer, but if you don't believe in yourself, your skills are wasted. So keep the faith in yourself strong." Ji Yong added.

Jang Mi smiled brightly and bowed. "You really are a good sunbaenim." She said.

It caused Ji Yong to blush. "Now go in the booth. You're going to be singing all the 2ne1 songs and other YG artists songs. We're going to see which one you'd be able to perform. President Yang wants to know so he can arrange for these songs to go first."

Jang Mi nodded and headed into the booth. She knew every song by 2ne1. But since they were only doing the recent and most popular songs, Jang Mi was able to sing it without any lyrics. The first song Teddy made her sing was Ugly. She only had to sing Park Bom's part. The second song was Gotta Be You. Then Crush, I'm the Best, Falling In Love, I Love You, Can't Nobody, and then Come Back Home. She was singing those songs on every part that Park Bom had sang. Teddy knew these songs inside and out so he was very helpful in pointing out where she needs to work on.
The next songs she had to sing were songs of Big Bang. President Yang only wanted Jang Mi to sing the sunbae's songs rather than the younger groups. The songs they had for Big Bang were only fast and upbeat. Fantastic Baby, Bang Bang Bang, Bae Bae, and Bad Boy were the group songs. The next one they had songs for the solo members. Doom DaDa for Choi Seung-Hyun. Missing You for Kwon Ji Yong. Those were the only ones on the list for solo members

"Your Korean pronunciation is great." Teddy said through her headset. "Now come out so we can have a discussion about the song choices."

Jang Mi nodded and took off the headset. She left the recording booth and sat next to Hyo Rin on the couch. She smiled and gave her a big thumbs up. Jang Mi felt so alive singing. Even Teddy was surprised at her vocals. He too could tell a trained voice anywhere. However, Ji Yong had told him not to ask about her trained voice. Even though Ji Yong asked, he remembers her facial expression. He knew she was uncomfortable about talking about it. Ji Yong has never seen someone's face change so fast just by one question. He then wondered what exactly happened between Choi Seung-Hyun and Jang Mi. She was walking around happily while Choi Seung-Hyun was walking around like an angry old man. Ji Yong thought he could be mad about not telling them why Jang Mi wanted to meet with him. However, none of them had asked him directly. So he basically wasn't lying.

"Alright. Out of all the songs that you sang, which two did you want to perform with the three members of 2ne1?" Teddy asked.

Jang Mi looked at him. "I'm choosing?" She asked.

Teddy and Ji Yong nodded. "President Yang said since you're doing the favor for him, he'll let you choose and set the schedule around you. However, you still have to perform Missing You with Ji Yong." Teddy replied.

"If I'm only singing Missing You with Ji Yong oppa, why did I have to rap some of the songs? I can't rap." Jang Mi said.

Ji Yong and Teddy chuckled. "We know. We test everyone on rapping. Your skill isn't so bad. Do you think you can perform Doom DaDa with T.O.P." Teddy asked.

Jang Mi awkwardly smiled. "How am I going to perform with him without him knowing?" Jang Mi asked awkwardly.

Ji Yong nodded. "I guess you're right." Until he smiled wickedly. "Unless you want him in on your debut?" Ji Yong teased.

"Are you crazy?" It wasn't Jang Mi but Hyo Rin who spoke up. "To make her go through such an awkward thing." She walked up to Jang Mi and covered her ears. "They're not doing well in their relationship. So try to be sensitive." She whispered.

Jang Mi sighed. "I can still hear you."

Hyo Rin looked at her and smiled sheepishly. "Moving on." She smiled.

"The songs?" Teddy asked with a shake of his head. "You guys get distracted too easily." He said under his breath.

"Right!" Jang Mi nodded. "Well I really like Gotta Be You but Park Bom loves that song so I'm not going to sing it." Jang Mi said talking to herself. "I like I Love You too but since that's basically for the fans, I'm sure they want Park Bom more than they'd want me. Ugly is such a good song but it's a song that 2ne1 made that touched their fan's hearts. So I don't want to sing that. Alright. I'll sing Come Back Home and Falling In Love." Jang Mi smiled.

Teddy and Ji Yong looked at each other. "You don't have to make your decision based on what Park Bom would want. You're able to choose." Ji Yong said.

Jang Mi smiled. "Thank you. You guys are trusting me with choosing these songs. However these songs aren't mines. I never put in the work that Park Bom put into these songs. I'm just a substitute until she comes. I'm making sure she gets to sing the songs that she likes and the fan likes. It's what they worked hard for. I one day would be able to write my own songs and put my own hard work into it. However, this is good enough for me. I'll perform these songs happily."

Hyo Rin smiled happily. "You're so kind." She frowned.

Suddenly there were knocks on the door. "Hyo Rin." They heard her name on the other side.

Hyo Rin looked at Jang Mi who looked back at Hyo Rin. "It's Young Bae." They both said at the same time.

Hyo Rin panicked. "I told him I had a schedule today."

Jang Mi started panicking. "We need to hide." She took all her belongings off of the sofa and gathered them in her arms.

Ji Yong chuckled. "I told them I was at home." He lead the way to the recording booth. "Let's hide in here." He told the two girls. "Hyung, you take care of them. I'll call you and make it seem important so you can get rid of them." Ji Yong smiled.

The two girls sat comfortably on the floor just under the windows. Ji Yong never in his life had to hide from his band mates like this. It was a new experience for him. However, he had to respect Jang Mi and President Yang's decision. Both wanted to keep this a secret. So he sat next to Jang Mi and waited patiently. Jang Mi was playing with her fingers and Hyo Rin was playing with strands of her hair. Ji Yong couldn't help it. He took his phone out and wanted to take a selca before calling Teddy's phone.

"Guys smile." He told them.

In an instant, both actresses posed as if they weren't nervous about anything. Ji Yong wanted to keep this photo for the record. When someone asked about the process of Jang Mi's fame, he'll show that picture and explain how he had to hide from his other band members. It was a story and an experience he'll never forget. Jang Mi and Hyo Rin wouldn't forget either. They'd all look back at this and laugh about it.
