Chapter 34 - Misunderstandings

Choi Seung-Hyun was running a little late to his small dinner date with Jang Mi. He was really busy with scheduling that he couldn't pick her up or act like a proper boyfriend should act. He had a recording and a photo shoot to do earlier which was why he was running late. Not to mention the interview after his photo shoot.
Choi Seung-Hyun was a little on the offense with the interview. He knew the interviewer was going to ask him questions about Jang Mi. It was only natural to do so since President Yang hadn't confirmed their relationship status. Choi Seung-Hyun didn't understand why he was taking so long to confirm it with the public. So during the interview he confirmed it himself. He let people know that he's dating someone. He didn't have to mention a name to have the interviewer laugh at Choi Seung-Hyun's cuteness in protecting Jang Mi's name. That's when the explosive questions about Jang Mi were poured out by the interviewer.

"She's a lot younger than you are. Does her age really matter?" He asked Choi Seung-Hyun.

Choi Seung-Hyun chuckled. "As long as she's alright with me being old and dating such a young lady. It's alright with me."

"Her title is Nation's Ideal Type. What are your thoughts on that title?"

"It's a good title I guess. She likes it. I do think she's better off with a different title."

"Oh so she doesn't match well with her current title. What title does she match as?"

"Choi Seung-Hyun's girlfriend." He chuckled.

The interviewer shivered. "Thats so cringe worthy." He joked. "Is the maturity level different between you two?" He asked.

Choi Seung-Hyun smiled brightly. "In some ways yes and in others no. She is still young but she's much more mature than anyone I've met at her age. Then at times her immaturity shows but I find it cute. I don't expect her to be an adult all the time because it's cute watching her."

That question brought him to the time where Jang Mi and him were making out in the Karaoke Bar and they did their pinky promises. Her immaturity showed brightly when she made kiss noises as their thumbs touched. She did show her immature side every now and then. Choi Seung-Hyun did find it cute. He loves her. Every piece of her. He couldn't understand how someone could love this much. He felt too light.

"Welcome." Choi Seung-Hyun smiled at the lady.

He was currently inside a floral shop. He wanted to buy Jang Mi flowers since he was running late and he couldn't even pick her up. What perfect flower but roses. Those always reminded him of Jang Mi. He wanted to pick her a pretty color, one that she'd like. However, they had no sun set colored roses so he had to settle with the plain ones. He couldn't understand why Jang Mi had to like such a complicated color. If he wanted to buy her something, how was he going to find it in sunset colors.

"Do you need help finding anything?" The elder lady asked.

"Noona, I want to buy a dozen roses for my girlfriend."

"What type of roses? We have about six different colors."

"She likes light colors."

The lady nodded and smiled. She picked out three white colored roses, three light pink roses, and red roses. She explained to him what each color meant and that it was a good colors to give to a very special someone. Choi Seung-Hyun was surprised by how well the colors went together. Jang Mi was sure to like the roses.

"It'll be ₩140,795 and 40 cents." Choi Seung-Hyun took a small step back because of the price. (140 USD give and take)

"Why is it so expensive?" He said under his breath as he pulled out his wallet to pay. "It's not like it'll save the world."

Choi Seung-Hyun took the bouquet of roses. The lady was nice enough to wrap it and give him a discount card for next time. Never gonna be a next time. He told himself. He couldn't understand why flowers were so expensive. It weighed his thoughts down.
Choi Seung-Hyun entered the warm restaurant and was appointed to the room Jang Mi was staying in. The waiter looked at him funny as he carried the bouquet of flower like it was stick. He swung it around as he took long strides around. He wasn't really careful until he got to the door. He hid the flowers behind his back ready to head in when he saw that the door was slightly open. He could see Jang Mi through it and her face was hard. He's never seen her face that way before. He was about to go in when he heard a familiar voice.

"What? You're an actress now? You can act? With who's permission? You could've been a good star in America if you just stayed with me. And I hear you're dating a rapper! His real name is Choi Seung-Hyun but stage name is T.O.P. Cute. If you like those type of things."

"What rapper? Choi Seung-Hyun?" Choi Seung-Hyun heard her laugh a humorless laugh. "You think I care about someone like Choi Seung-Hyun? Don't kid yourself. I'm still your daughter." Choi Seung-Hyun couldn't believe the words that left her mouth. "I'm with him to kill time. Plus, he's my sunbae so he easily gives me more fame than I could get by myself." His heart broke further as she continued.

Choi Seung-Hyun couldn't catch the end of conversation since he was tending to his aching heart. The shuffling around on the other side of the door got his attention. He rushed to hide around a corner and he was too far from the conversation. He watched as the girl who broke his heart ran out the door of the restaurant room. She paused for a second and looked around the place. As if she was looking for something. We she couldn't find it she continued to run out the front. His eyes brimmed with anger as he bunched his fist up until his knuckles turned white.

"I told you, my daughter is a true actress." Jan Mi's mother stood outside of the room but looked to where Choi Seung-Hyun has hidden behind. "If you take someone's warning lightly, you lead yourself to your own heartache." With that she spun on her heel and exited the restaurant.

Choi Seung-Hyun soon followed behind with anger fuming and pumping through his veins.
