Chapter 90 - The End
Many Years Later.......
The sun was just setting and lights to the buildings around the city were slowly switching on. Nabi was pacing around the comforts of her office with an arm across her chest and tucked under the elbow of her other arm as she held the phone to her ear. It was obivous she was in a serious conversation since her brows were furrowed together. Her heels were kicked off somewhere behind her desk as she walked off the numbness in her legs from sitting too long.
"No. SeSe is willing to cooperate on this. The contract hasn't been signed and finalized yet, but it was confirmed by the company's officials." Nabi said into the phone while running a tiring hand through her hair. After a long pause, Nabi let out an inaudible groan. "Yes. I've told you this many times. I had to explain this for the third time. You're the one who called me."
"Chairwoman Park, someone is here to see you." Her Secretary came and informed.
Nabi cupped the mic of her cell phone and looked over to her Secretary. "It's not a good time right now. Please tell them I'm busy." Nabi said with a pleading eyes.
"You said not to let this certain person wait." Secretary informed.
Nabi sighed. "Fine. Let him in." She said and went back to her conversation over the phone. "Yes. Yes. Of course I'm listening. There isn't much time before then but please keep in contact and before you ask, no not on this matter. I have informed you already about this situation. Just please, don't ask again." She pleaded. "Yes. Thank you."
Nabi hung up the phone and sighed. She hated speaking with the officials of other companies that she was working along side with. They were the middle men and it frustrated her to no ends that she couldn't get a hold of the person she wanted to speak to. Instead they would send outop an official or someone of some type to represent the company she's trying to work with. Nabi preferred to go to work in person on matters that dealt with her company so she couldn't relate to companies who had middle men. Multiple of them.
Nabi wanted to know what was going on with the little things around the company. She was making sure nothing was out of place. Of course it annoyed those who worked for because she was intimidating but she liked it that way. She preferred it that way.
Nabi flinched, as she felt arms snake around her waist from behind and her back pressed up against a chest. She felt herself instantly relax into Jiyong's body. After all these years he still affected her in many ways. He could easily break through her business mask that she wore heavily over her face, figuratively of course.
"Who were you talking to?" Jiyong asked placing small kisses along the crook of her neck.
Nabi closed her eyes at the intimate contact. "Nobody worth talking about now." She said with a hint of smile.
"I got what you asked for." He smiled.
Nabi turned around in his embrace and wrapped her arms lazily around his neck as she stared at him happily.
"Thank you." She said giving him a soft and quick kiss. "I'll go get changed right now." She bent down and picked up the duffle bag that sat at Jiyong's feet. "I'm tired of wearing heels."
"Why are you getting changed again?" Jiyong asked settling himself down into one of Nabi's sofa.
"It's Jae Joon's birthday. I'm not wearing what I wore all day in the office." She said standing in front of him. "Besides, I'm tired of wearing business attire." She bent down and gave him another quick kiss.
Jiyong smirked as she pulled away. "You look beautiful in it though. You gotta admit that." He says smacking her butt.
Nabi squealed and fell into his lap with redden cheeks, where he knew she'd end up. "Shut up you pervert." She tried to get off but Jiyong's tight grip wouldn't allow her too. "Come on. I have to get dressed. I ordered a dozen doughnuts and I have to pick them up. You know it's Jae Joon's favorite."
Jiyong groaned as he leaned in to Nabi's side, kissing up her neck. "Why don't I give you our own Jae Joon or even our own small Dwaeji that looks exactly like you. You spoil their kid too much."
Nabi rolled her eyes and pulled away from him. "I told you this many times. I just got the company's neck out of the waters. I need to be stable enough to have our own kids." She stood up and crossed her arms, the duffle bag long forgotten. "Besides, I won't give you a child until you give me what I want."
Jiyong groaned running a hand over his face. "Does that make sense?"
"Why? We're a little backwards if we get a child now." She said stubbornly.
"I told you I like the way we are. I don't need a ring to tell me you're it. You're it for me. Marriage is just a way of finalizing something that's already finalized. I don't need you to be finalized. I already know." Jiyong defended.
"I'm going to let this conversation go because we're only going to end up arguing and I don't like arguing with you." She says lightly. "I'm going to change."
...............
Nabi and Jiyong waited in front of the door to Choi Seung-Hyun's mother's apartment. Nabi held balloons in one hand and Jiyong's other hand. In Jiyong's other hand held a box filled with chocolate covered doughnuts. Once the lady behind the counter found out it was for Jiyong, she stuffed the box with chocolate covered doughnuts and even gave Jiyong a basket of flowers. The basket was used for decoration for the bakery so Jiyong immediately turned her down, claiming he didn't like that he was taking too much.
"Finally! You guys are here!" Bae Jang Mi says excitedly as she opened the door. "My mother-in-law won't allow us to eat until everyone is here. Do you know the torture? Her food is heaven-sent." She complained.
Nabi could careless about Bae Jang Mi and her unhealthy obsession for food. Her smile brightened instantly at the sight of Jae Joon in Bae Jang Mi's arms. He freaked out when he saw Nabi carrying the balloons.
"Auntie!" He squealed through his baby gibberish.
Nabi took the baby into her arms, letting go of Jiyong's arm along the way, and entered into the apartment. They slipped off their shoes and walked into the house slippers that were provided for them.
"Did you miss your favorite Auntie?" Nabi asked as she kissed Jae Joon's cheeks. "And look what auntie and uncle got you! Doughtnuts!"
"Oh great. Thank you so much Nabi." Bae Jang Mi said with sarcasm in her tone. "Now he won't ever sleep tonight."
Nabi didn't care. "Oh come on. He's cute when he's stuffing his face with chocolate covered doughnuts."
Choi Seung-Hyun shook his head. "Yeah but we're both filming tomorrow and we would love our rest."
Nabi just rolled her eyes. "Your mommy and daddy are getting old."
After all these years, Nabi and Jiyong were still the same as they have always been. Till this day, years after meeting her, he could still make her blush as red as a tomato. Nabi moved in with Jiyong at the house that overlooked the city. It was honestly one of Nabi's favorite places to be.
Jiyong has never stopped supporting Nabi in everything she did. If he was being honest, he followed Nabi like a fly would follow the light. If she were to go to Japan for business, he would find a reason to fly there and surprise her. When he couldn't fly there, he would call her constantly. He didn't feel like himself without Nabi there. He finally realized that Nabi is a part of him and it didn't feel good when a part of him went missing. He did plan on marrying her, but he felt like it would be a waste of time since they already did things that were made for married couples.
As for Nabi's father, he was sentenced to life in prison after a gruesome battle between his lawyers and Lawyer Ahn. Lawyer Ahn however, refused to go down without a fight. Luckily, the weapon of choice for her would be a little flash drive that held all of Nabi's father's darkest secrets. While Nabi's father was being handcuffed, Lawyer Ahn instantly pulled out her phone to snatch a photo of one of her happiest cases. Happy for her anyway. She even framed the darn photo and hung it in her office for anyone to see.
Nabi's business was blooming. Fashion critics began to boom when they released the new and improved design. Goo Dae Hyun, the head designer that Nabi gave a chance, had proven worthy of the spot. People wouldn't stop talking about how amazing the designs were for women and it even gave Goo Dae Hyun a small space on the clothing tags to place his name. Nabi couldn't ask for a better designer.
As for Tae Gyeong, who took over his father's company, he proved just exactly why his profession is one of a businessman. At first it wasn't easy to clean up all the mess his father had created. Those who backed up his father's company had backed out. He had to find other trust worthy places where they would place their designs inside but it was hard. So Tae Gyeong changed his company's name and decided on starting their own stores, selling their own brands. Other stores wanted nothing to do with anyone who was related to someone running business through illegal ties. Despite his hardships on taking the company over, he continued to try and fix the relationship between himself and his father by visiting him as often as he could.
As for Joo Won and his wife, Nabi wasn't surprised to find out that he had fallen in love with his wife after being married to her for a few months. Now years down the line, they had two kids, a son and a daughter and couldn't have been happier. His hospital business is a success and he was able to open multiple of free clinics for women and children who had a hard time affording such things. Kang Eun-Bi, Joo Won's wife had successfully got the hang of running a hospital. She passed all her tests and requirements that she needed to be able to do so, of course with the help of Nabi. The two were a success.
Nara, Nabi's youngest sister that hasn't yet popped up in awhile, had taken a liking to fashion. It had surprised Nabi when she heard it because Nabi felt like Nara dressed like trash. Nara wasn't too keen on Nabi's opinion and she lashed out. However, she proved to be really well in the fashion department and began going to college, majoring in fashion and design. Nara felt like she had a spot available in Nabi's company but Nabi had explained it to her that she had to work to get to the top just like everyone else. Nabi did not plan on holding back on being strict just because Nara is her sister. In fact she planned on being harder on her for even expecting Nabi to treat her any different from other employees.
The members of Big Bang were always themselves. However, each member slowly seemed to fall in love with a certain someone, like someone was setting them up.
As for Jiyong and Nabi, this is the end of their story and they do something cheesy like live happily ever after.
