Chapter 72 - True Friendship

After bumping into Nabi, Kwon Jiyong began expecting her to make random appearances in random places. He'd work in the studio, working with other sunbaes in the company on composing more music for other artists, he would always await her to appear. He would arrive to the entertainment building early in the morning, hanging out on the ground floor of the building, writing songs on his laptop. Whenever someone entered the building he would look up, thinking it was her. He would do that until the time came for him to go into a studio.

It has been a month and a few weeks since then. Although he had grown tired of waiting for Nabi, he never doubted she would eventually come waltzing back through the front doors of YG Entertainment. Kwon Jiyong was past crazy. He had grown with need to keep up with this routine. Despite him being back at work, his band mates were worried about him. Bae Jang Mi however, found his obsession to be better than drinking all night and sleeping with random girls. So she wasn't worried a bit. Her temper did boil with the mention of Nabi's name though. The thought of her turning back up without an explanation made her upset. Not to mention the fact that she hurt Kwon Jiyong but her husband was doing a good job at keeping her out of trouble with her mouth. Especially around Kwon Jiyong.

"Oppa." Bae Jang Mi says walking into the studio he was working in.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were going to a dinner with your cast members?" Kwon Jiyong asks.

Bae Jang Mi raised a brow. "Seriously, does the band members share everything between each other?"

"We have a chatroom with all five of us in it. What do you think we talk about?" Kwon Jiyong says. Bae Jang Mi shrugged and sat in the office chair next to him. After a while of silence between the two, Kwon Jiyong turned to Bae Jang Mi. "Thank you."

Bae Jang Mi looked at him weirdly. "For what?"

"For taking me out of that situation." Kwon Jiyong says with a loud sigh. "I don't think I would've of been able to do it on my own."

"Oppa, if it were you, Youngbae, Daesung, or Seungri, I still would smack you all relentlessly while you all slept butt naked." Bae Jang Mi says chuckling which caused Kwon Jiyong to chuckle as well. "So, are you still waiting for Nabi?"

"The guys think I'm stupid. They don't understand because they've never seen me like this. I'm not sure I understand." He explained.

"Well, I'm finding it hard to understand too. She left you and broke your heart. You even slept with other girls because of it. Why would you keep waiting for her?"

"For starters, don't mention me sleeping around. It was only two girls. I also regret sleeping with them more than anything. I don't understand it either, but I only love Nabi." Kwon Jiyong says causing Bae Jang Mi to raise her hands up in surrender. "Also, I saw something the day she came."

"Saw something? Like what? Like a hidden message that stated she's a spy undercover and have been traveling the world to defeat bad guys while protecting South Korea? Honestly, that's the only logical explanation for her disappearance and the only explanation she would need to have in order for me to forgive her." She replied.

"No," He said with a what-the-hell expression to her answer, "the day she disappeared, she left me a note telling me she loved me."

"What a way to admit that." Bae Jang Mi says sarcastically.

Ignoring her remark, he continued. "The moment I mentioned that to her, I saw something flash before her eyes."

"The flashing of B.S." Bae Jang Mi says quietly even though Kwon Jiyong could hear it.

Still ignoring her, he continued, "It was like, I saw the old Nabi again. Her eyes flashed with hurt and that has to be something."

"Look, I just don't want you to have your hopes up for something that small. I don't mean to be logical or anything, but what Nabi did is messed up." She says. "But if you're going to be stupid, don't be stupid alone. I'll be stupid with you." She says rolling her eyes. "But don't expect me to like her."

Kwon Jiyong chuckled. "Thank you." He smiled.

The studio door opened and Manager Kim walked in, causing Bae Jang Mi to slide down in her office chair to hide herself. "Yah! Gijibae!" Manager Kim shouted.

(A/N: It sounds better yelled out in Korean than it does in English)

"I was held here against my will!" Bae Jang Mi says.

"I have nothing to do with this." Kwon Jiyong says turning back to the computer.

"I told you to go home!" Manager Kim says in disbelief. "You have an early schedule tomorrow and I swear, if I have trouble waking you up tomorrow, I will Ji Hoon to come and pull you out by your hair." Manager Kim says grabbing onto Bae Jang Mi's earlobe.

"Ah, it hurts." She whined as he dragged her out. "Oppa, save me."

Kwon Jiyong slowly placed his headsets over his ears. "What? Sorry, I can't hear you."

"I'll get you back for that."

Kwon Jiyong just laughed and shook his head. He turned back to the computer and started to work. However, he looked at the time and almost had a heart attack. It was super late. After going over the music he composed, he saved it and began packing his belongings. He exited the studio and down the staircase. The moment he stepped out into the parking area for the entertainment company, he noticed the down pouring rain that was falling hard. He was happy he parked his car in the entertainment parking spots. However, he sighed knowing that it didn't matter cause he had to drive in the rain anyway.

As soon as he got settled into his car, he drove out and hesitated on driving out in the rain. But he did. He drove carefully through the night life of Seoul. Even though it was late, the roads were still busy. Filled with cars going who knows where. Driving to the dorms never took long since it was near the entertainment company, so he felt content when he parked the car in the parking garage of the dorms. He made his way up to the lobby through the elevators and smiled at the security guard who had fallen asleep at his post.

When he got to the second set of elevators, he felt ready to get in bed and sleep. He entered the elevator, but stopped the doors from closing when someone called out his name. Song Mino entered the elevator and greeted Kwon Jiyong formally. He just smiled and greeted him back. Song Mino pressed his floor, and yawned tiredly probably just finished schedule. Kwon Jiyong was extremely jealous that Song Mino lived in one of the dorms placed on the lower floors, since he would be able to get to his dorm faster to sleep. As soon as he got out, he bowed to Kwon Jiyong and continued on his way.

Meanwhile, Kwon Jiyong was still going to Nabi's dorm to sleep. For some odd reason he felt better there. He didn't know what it was but he felt more comfortable there. Once he exited out of the elevator, he made his way down the quiet halls and to Nabi's dorm. He slid the cover for the door code up and entered the code, hearing the playful tune ring. He entered with a sigh and took his shoes off as well as his jacket. Looking at the view from the window, the rain was still pouring down, splattering droplets of water across the glass. He sighed tiredly and went into the back room where he stripped out of his clothes and threw on pajamas. He had no strength to shower, too exhausted from work.

As he walked out of the room, he went to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. On his way there, he heard the playful tune from the front door, indicating a successful entry of the password correctly. Slowly, he walked towards the area of the front door. The automatic light that lit when someone entered, reflected across the wood floors, indicating someone's entrance. As he got closer, he noticed someone in the entrance, slipping off their shoes. Standing there wearing a large hoodie and shorts while doing so. The hood of the hoodie was up, blocking off the view of the face. However, Kwon Jiyong knew who it was.

"Nabi?"
