Chapter 66 - Meant To Be

Nabi and Nara exited the airport and headed to the parking lot where her car was parked. Both had been in Japan for the last couple of days sorting out Nara's situation. Nara didn't want to attend school in Japan anymore and wanted to stay in South Korea with Nabi. Since Nabi is now Nara's legal guardian, she had to go to Japan personally to get all of Nara's schooling handled and settled with. The two hour flight back to Korea felt longer than just two hours to Nabi. Once they get to Korea, Nabi has to place Nara into a school and buy her a uniform. Nara had the choice to go to any school she pleased, Nabi wasn't going to restrict her from doing anything she wanted to do.

"There's the car." Nara says.

Nabi dragged their luggage as Nara went with the car keys and beeped the trunk open. They both got into the car after placing their luggage neatly in the back of the trunk. They began their drive off from the Incheon airport and into the middle of Seoul. It was already night and Nara had wanted to stay over President Yang's house for the night while Nabi just wanted to go home. So the two were going to separate for the time being since they wanted to go to different places.

"We're here. Try not to give uncle and aunty a hard time. Make sure you do your own laundry alright?" Nabi says getting out to help Nara with her bags. "Make sure you tell them thank you and please. Bow when you need to bow and don't speak behind their back in Japanese when your cousins are annoying you. Mom taught us better than that. We'll deal with all your school issues later since it's still Summer."

"Alright." Nara smiled.

"Tell aunty and uncle that I couldn't come in to greet them because I'm in a rush." Nabi says waving. "I'll pick you up when you want me to."

Nabi got in her car and began driving out of the driveway of President Yang's house. She drove out onto the freeway where she then began her journey through the city making her way to her destination. Her actual goal was to rid her of Nara for a few days so she could see someone she has been aching to see. Kwon Jiyong. She hasn't seen him or spoken to him for almost a week since the funeral since she was dealing with all her things before she could actually be free and clear of mind. She needed to see him and she need to be with him. She missed his smell and his voice. She wasn't able to text or call him because she felt like it would only tease her and cause her to break down on how much she actually missed him. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of him like that. She has done enough to do so.

Nabi pulled up to his house and parked outside of the large metal gates. She went to the gate and rung the bell while looking into the camera. After waiting for a few minutes, the front gate opened wide to reveal Kwon Jiyong wearing a black tracksuit. They looked at each other for a few seconds before Kwon Jiyong reached out and hugged her.

Kwon Jiyong had been waiting patiently like Bae Jang Mi had told him to do. Although Bae Jang Mi was still mad at him, he was taking her advice and waiting for Nabi to sort out all her priorities first. It felt good to feel her squeeze him into the tight hug. He walked both of them inside before shutting the gates with Nabi still embracing him.

"I missed you so much." Nabi says muffled into his neck.

"I missed you too." Kwon Jiyong says running a hand through her hair. "But before we go inside, I need to ask you something." Nabi nodded for him to continue while still holding onto him. "Who was that guy that you were talking to at the funeral?" He asked.

Nabi paused as she tried to remember back. "You mean, my brother?" She questioned pulling her head back to look at him. "We were sitting on the ledge of the cement."

Smiling to himself, he nodded. Not needing anything else. "Okay. Let's go inside."

Nabi nodded. They broke apart and Kwon Jiyong intertwined his hands with Nabi's hands, leading her inside his house. Nabi was nervous about his parents and what they would say when he walked in with her in hand. She was only planning to see him and talk to him for a few minutes outside.

"Are your parents home?" Nabi asked as they entered the house.

"No." Kwon Jiyong says slipping his house slippers on.

"Where are they?" Nabi asked as she slipped on the house slippers Kwon Jiyong placed in front of his feet.

"My dad is in Busan getting in as much fishing as posible since my mom is away." Kwon Jiyong says while taking Nabi's hand into his and guiding her into his large house.

"Where did your mom go?" Nabi asked marveling the large house.

"She went with Dami Noona to Japan to help look for property to branch out her clothing business." Kwon Jiyong says.

"Oh. Where are you taking me?" Nabi asked.

"To my room." He says simply. "I was in the middle of watching a drama when I heard the doorbell ring."

Nabi nodded and followed him up the large steps that would lead to his room. For some reason she was nervous.

As Kwon Jiyong opened his door, Nabi took in the inside of his room. The room was much larger than she had expected. He had his own living room with a mini fridge inside. Like he said, he was watching a drama. The screen television hung up on the wall while the screen displayed a historical drama placed on pause. He sat Nabi down and plopped himself right next to her. He looked at her and noticed how tired she looked compared to the last time he had seen her.

"Are you okay?" Kwon Jiyong asks feeling stupid soon after for asking such a lame question.

Nabi smiled a small smile and nodded. "I'm fine."

"So, what have you been up to? I've been trying to get a hold of you." Kwon Jiyong says.

"I'm so sorry. I don't mean to ignore your calls or text, I just really needed some space to take care of things. Are you mad?" Nabi explained.

Kwon Jiyong turned his body and placed a hand sofly over her cheek, causing her to turn and face him as well. "I'm not mad. I can never be mad at you." He says with a soft smile. "However, I do want to know exactly what it is your feeling. Your smile isn't fooling anyone."

Nabi's facial expression fell as she looked at him with almost a hallow expression. "I don't think that's a good idea." She says.

"Why not? I'm all yours. I will not judge or make fun of how you're feeling. Nabi, you went through something like that and didn't cry a single tear at your mother's funeral. I don't think it's healthy keeping it all in." Kwon Jiyong says.

Nabi's eyes had already began to water. "Uhm." She breaths out.

Nabi began nervously rolling her lips into her mouth and turning to look away from Kwon Jiyong. She sniffed softly but not a tear dropped. Kwon Jiyong dropped his hand from her face and held her hand that was nervously pulling at the hem of her t-shirt to help distract her from crying.

"Whatever it is, you can say it." Kwon Jiyong encouraged.

Nabi swallowed hard before looking back at him. "I can't breath." She says. "I feel like I can't breath." She said with a tear falling from her eyes and down her cheeks. "Every breath I take feels like a knife slashing at my heart. My lungs feel like they're filled with water making it harder for me to breath. I feel like there is a weight on my chest, weighing my breaths down. I'm not sad. I.....I'm so mad!" She said finally letting it all out.

Kwon Jiyong nodded and pulled her into a tight hug. Nabi cried into Kwon Jiyong's chest. He held her tightly whispering soft 'It's okay' as a hand ran continuously through her hair. Kwon Jiyong could feel his shirt instantly soak from her tears as she cried away.

After a few minutes of crying, Nabi pulled back from Kwon Jiyong's embrace and looked at him through her wet eye lashes. The look she gave him was a look of need. Her beautiful round button eyes looked at him with need and it caused him to get weak. She called him in like a siren calling a sailor. He couldn't help himself.

He inched slowly. Bringing his face closer to hers as she breathed in soft sniffs through her nose. Kwon Jiyong placed his lips over hers, feeling the smooth surface of her pink lips. In an instant, Nabi kissed him back. As their lips moved in perfect synchronization, he could feel the wetness of Nabi's tears as it fell from her eyes down his cheeks. Kwon Jiyong felt Nabi slightly put pressure on him, causing him to lay his back on the couch. Between their makeout, Nabi straddled Kwon Jiyong's hips as her hand ended up wondering under his shirt. Lightly running her hands over the smooth surface of his chest.

Kwon Jiyong pushed her shoulders back causing her to sit up while still straddling his hip. "Nabi, I don't think-"

"You love me right?" Nabi asked cutting him off.

Kwon Jiyong instantly nodded. "Yes of course I do."

"Then show me." She says leaning back down to kiss him again.
