Chapter 46 - It's Not Camping
Nabi was nervously playing with her hands as she sat in the passenger seat of her car since Kwon Jiyong was driving. They decided to take Nabi's car because they were able to shove large luggage into the backseat compared to Kwon Jiyong's two seater car. They left early in the morning, hoping to beat any chance of being caught in any sort of traffic. When they left the dorms, the sky was still dark. After they had been driving for awhile, the sun was slowly showing it's face as it shined brightly over Korea.
"Don't be nervous." Kwon Jiyong says, reaching his hand over to her side and intertwined his hand with hers, leaving it on her lap. "Everything is going to be fine."
Nabi squeezed his hands with her own. "It's easy for you to say, you've only had dinner with my mom. I'm spending the whole weekend with your family." Nabi complained. "What if they don't like the way I wake up? I am a grumpy old man when I wake up. Some times I say mean things in the morning. What if i curse at them when I wake up because I am not in a good mood or in the right mind? What if they hate the way I eat my food? Do you know that I eat the crust of a sandwhich before I eat the whole thing? When I eat kimbap, I take the seaweed off and eat it last? I eat the rice and the ingredients plain before eating the seaweed. I eat things weird. What if they don't like that?"
Kwon Jiyong was silent as he listened to her rant on about her weird habits. When she finally finished speaking, Kwon Jiyong broke out into loud laughter at how ridiculous she sounded. He never knew of her weird habits when she ate certain foods. In all honesty, he didn't care that she ate things weirdly, which she did.
"Why are you laughing?" She asked angrily. "You're teasing me!" She sighed a nervous sigh.
Kwon Jiyong shook his head. "I'm laughing because you're too cute." He said ignoring her and continuing on driving in silence.
The moment they arrived to the campsite, Nabi's mouth hung open in a mixture of shock and amazement. In her mind, camping was a tiring thing to deal with. Putting up the tent, setting everything where they belonged, making sure their campsite was closest to the restroom and shower rooms, making sure the food that was brought were accounted for and make sure everyone was pulling their weight around the camp.
The campsite Kwon Jiyong pulled into was somewhat in the middle of the woods. However, they already had tents up. Large white tents. Most of the tents were lit up with little lantern that scattered the floor on the inside and outside of the tent. It was obvious that it was all electrical powered. Each tent that lined the other had their own wooden deck with their own set of furniture on it. And from what Nabi was seeing inside, all the tents already had beds. She couldn't believe what she was looking at. Nabi already knew what this was. This wasn't camping this is glamping.
Nabi looked over to Kwon Jiyong who didn't even get phased from the beauty of the campsite. He walked out of the car with ease, as if he came to places like this quite often. He walked over to Nabi's side and opened the car door for her since she was sitting their mouth hung open in amazement. He smiled at her, seeing how shocked she was at her surroundings.
"What's wrong with your face?" He asked helping her out while holding her hand.
Nabi raised a brow. "This isn't camping that I'm used to. Is this how your family goes out camping?" She asked.
"Yes." Kwon Jiyong smirked. "Is it a problem?" He asked closing the door behind her.
"No. It's just...don't you think it's too much?" Nabi asked.
"Why would this be too much?" He asked, holding her hand firmly into his hands. "Is this weird?"
Nabi shook her head. "No. Never mind." She smiled.
"Go check out the place. I'll get our bags and stuff." Kwon Jiyong smiled.
"No. I'll help you." Nabi said.
"Just go." Kwon Jiyong says sternly while shaking his head. "She's so stubborn." He said to himself.
Nabi sighed and nodded. She left the parking area and went into the camping grounds. It was empty but a lot of the tents had a small sign held up for reserved. Nabi wondered just how much it costs to stay in a place like this for a night. She questioned if she would be able to afford the stay. Of course she knew Kwon Jiyong had already paid for it, didn't mean she liked it.
Nabi passed the building that held showers and toilets for campers. It is absolutely nice. It looked like public restrooms at the beach back in America but this looked way cleaner. Like people actually spent countless of money to continue to keep the building highly maintained and cleaned.
"How are we supposed to carry this?" Nabi heard a girl ask.
"You're younger than I am, you carry it. You know my back isn't what it used to be." Another lady replied.
"Mom! I told you just to wait for dad but you insisted on doing it." The girl replied.
As Nabi rounded the corner of the building, she saw an middle-aged lady and a younger girl who seemed to look around the same age as Nabi herself, talking to each other on the side of the building. Between them was a large cooler that was probably as wide as Nabi's outstretched arms. The lady reminded Nabi of her mom. Always complaining about how old she's getting. It made Nabi smile seeing them because it reminded her of her relationship with her mom.
"Yah!" She scolded. "If I'm getting old, don't you think your father is getting old too?" She said. "Now pick up the cooler."
Nabi chuckled to herself as she approached the two with confidence. "Hello." She bowed. "Do you two need help?" She asked.
The two stared at Nabi for a few seconds before looking at each other knowingly. But before the middle-aged lady could turn her down, the younger girl smiled. "Would you?" She says enthusiastically.
"Of course!" Nabi went to the other side of the cooler and held the handle.
"Thank you so much young lady." The elder lady smiled to Nabi. "Why would you stop and help us out so suddenly?" She asked as she led the way to their tent.
Nabi chuckled, hiding the fact that the cooler was hurting her arm from how heavy it is. "My mom scolds me a lot about her back pains too." Nabi chuckled. "You reminded me of my mom." She explained before she caught on to what she just said. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to listen in on the conversation. It just happened that way."
"It's fine." The lady nodded and smiled. "Set it here." She pointed to the deck of her tent. "Thank you so much. Would you like to get paid for your gratitude?" She asked.
Nabi chuckled while waving her hands off. "Of course not." She smiled. "This was simple and I'm glad I could help." Nabi explained. "I'll be on my way now." Nabi bowed. "Have a nice day and hope to see you guys around the camp site."
As Nabi walked away to look at some scenery that surrounded the camp, the two looked at each other with large suggestive smiles. Kwon Dami shrugged.
"Do you think she knows?" Dami asked her mom.
"That bad boy never showed that girl our photos." Her mom complained. "Unless she knows and she's just playing us to get on our good side."
"Really mom? Enough with the Kdramas skit." Dami sighed. "I know she doesn't know. Jiyong said she's very shy and gets nervous easily. If she knew it was us then she would've been freaking out while carrying the cooler." Dami explained.
"Mom you guys are here already?" The two looked over to Kwon Jiyong who carried bags over his shoulders and rolled one behind him.
"Why are you carrying so many bags?" His mother asks. "Is she making you carry your bags?"
Kwon Jiyong rolled his eyes. "I'm showing her what a man can do." He placed the bags on the deck of the tent next to his parent's tent.
"A man? Your father ran to the bathroom the moment we parked so he didn't have to tend with moving everything." She scoffed as she spoke softly about her husband under her breath. "Have you shown her any photos of us?" His mom asked.
"I'm telling you mom, she doesn't know." Dami said sitting on the cooler with her legs crossed.
"You guys met her?" Kwon Jiyong asked.
"She offered to help carry this cooler from the Over House." Dami says. "She really doesn't know what we look like?" She asks.
"I never showed her any of your photos. I thought she would of searched it on the Internet but seeing as she hadn't ran out of the campsite and back to Seoul with her tail between her legs, I'm sure she has no idea who you guys are." Kwon Jiyong explained.
Kwon Jiyong's mother smiled. "Well, then that means her true self was shown while she helper out."
.........
Did you guys enjoy it? It's short right? Sorry!!
I do have something important to discuss. I'm sure if Donald Trump becomes president, he might cut allies with smaller countries like Japan & S Korea. Which means S Korea will be basically vulnerable to N Korea and other scary countries who want S Korea (Russian Government) Jk but seriously...
So I think it's time for us to start training to protect S Korea because Oppa lives all up in there and to hell if they think they're hurting them or any of their families in anyway right?
Like you guys don't even know. I'm ready to kick some ass.
We have to fight for them because this how they fight....like wth?
And who are you trying to kid Tao?
But can you imagine a bunch of girls just kicking ass because S Korea (oppa) is in danger hahaha....I might write a ff about this hahahhaba jk...seriously though...Bad Ass.
Plus we gotta look good while kicking ass cause we're going to be in front of oppa.
Hahaha ha but seriously.....who here watched Sense8? Like omg! You all need to watch it on Netflix.
My favorite Sun & Wolfgang!!
