Chapter 42 - Rooftop Warmth

After a few more hours at the amusement park with the others, Nabi and Kwon Jiyong excused themselves to leave. Nabi was getting tired and since the sun had went down, the air was getting colder. Her leggings were no longer keeping her warm.

They made their way to Nabi's car that parked out front. Kwon Jiyong had offered to drive, which Nabi of course didn't deny him in doing so. They made their way to the dormitory which would take awhile, since Kwon Jiyong suggested the amusement park the farthest away from Seoul, so they began listening to the radio. Nabi didn't know a lot of the songs that were on the radio except for the recent ones that came out during the past couple of months. She just enjoyed the time spent with Kwon Jiyong who was singing along with the songs on the radio.

By the time they pulled up into the building's parking lot, Nabi had already a list of songs she definitely needed to listen to. She was missing so much music after being in America for so long. It wasn't like she didn't have access to her favorite Korean music, it was just that she didn't want to. After quitting the music industry in Korea, she didn't want to listen to anything from Korea. It was too painful for her to even do so but she would never regret the decision she made knowing she made the right choice.

"I'll go shower and we'll meet up on the roof." Kwon Jiyong says getting out of the elevator.

"Okay." Nabi smiles. "See you later." She waved as the metal doors closed.

Like always, the elevators took awhile to take Nabi to her destined floor. As soon as she made it up, she exited out of the elevator, passing a few people from the company who were getting in with a smile and a light bow. She made her way to her dorm, entering the code for the lock before entering the familiar surroundings of her dorm. She immediately began stripping out of her layers of weird Japanese clothes, ripping the wig off, and headed straight to the bathroom. She didn't want to take long of a shower, in case Kwon Jiyong was waiting for her up at the roof, so she did the essentials, instead of her usual routine to talk herself out of doing drastic things she had planned to do earlier that day, dance one of her old songs while singing it out loud, plan future goals for herself and usually just letting the warm water run down her body.

After she finished shower, she got dressed in some grey sweats that hung loosely around her legs, and a t-shirt, throwing a large sweater over it. She quickly blow dried her hair and placed a beanie over it, hoping the frizz was covered completely. Finally, she pulled socks over her feet and went to the door where she slipped on her shoes and exited her dorm.

It didn't take long before she arrived to the roof. Surprisingly, Kwon Jiyong was already up there. She started feeling bad that she had made him wait for her. She hoped he didn't wait too long.

Nabi made her way to him as he sat on the bench swing with a blanket wrapped around him. He opened one side and Nabi smiled, getting his invitation. She sat next to him and cuddled up to his side while he wrapped the blanket around her. She had her legs folded up on the other half of the bench while she silently stayed, leaning into his side.

"You're off tomorrow right?" Kwon Jiyong asks.

Nabi looked at him and smiled. "Yes. Are you off."

"Unfortunately, I have schedule tomorrow." He sighs, pulling her closer to him.

"That's alright. We can hang out later right?" Nabi asks.

Kwon Jiyong shook his head. "Why don't you just come along with me then?" He smirks.

Nabi blinked blankly at him before answering. "How? Wouldn't it be too obvious?"

Kwon Jiyong shrugged. "So what? You got a new phone. So long as nobody knows who you are, then everything is good."

Nabi raised a brow. "And me tagging along with you during your schedule isn't going to expose me?" She scoffed.

"Yeah. Why not? Management team follows me around all the time. Just wear a mouth mask and shades." Kwon Jiyong says.

Nabi sighed. "Alright."

"Don't worry about it. I don't have much scheduled. Just a few interviews, a couple variety shows, a show recordings and a fan meet and greet. Those usually end in an hour or so." He smiled proud of his schedule.

"That's what you call not having much scheduled? That's a lot and I'm tired just listening to what you listed." Nabi joked.

Kwon Jiyong shook his head with a chuckle. "You shouldn't complain. If you became an idol, your schedule would look like this."

Nabi chuckled. "Right." Which soon ended in an awkward silence since he brought up her retired dreams.

He felt like punching himself in the face so he easily came up with a subject change. "Why do you love the stars so much?" Kwon Jiyong asks, noticing she was looking up at the dark, star-less sky.

Nabi smiled and gave a small shrug. "I don't know. It's always been something I've liked. There are so much stars that are seen and so many that aren't. It's almost like I'm looking for those stars within stars. The ones that are so far out, I can't see them but I know it's there." She says explaining it in a way that Kwon Jiyong could understand.

But he didn't. "You said that the last time."

Nabi chuckled. "Yeah but that's different. This black sky still had bright stars shinning, we just can't see them. Back in the countryside, you can see millions and millions of stars. However, I feel like we're just scratching the surface. Like what we're seeing isn't actually what it's giving us. I can see stars, and then I see these itsy bitsy small stars that are so far away, I can barely see it. But it exist. It always gets me wondering about all the other stars around that I can't see but are just as beautiful." She sighed.

Kwon Jiyong watched her talk openly about her obsession with the stars. It wasn't an obsession where she would go crazy and buy a spaceship to explore, it was just something she found interesting. It made him smile to see her talking passionately about something so simple like stars. It wasn't normal to him because nobody just stopped and told him to look in the sky at the stars. Seoul barely had stars in the sky.

"It's dumb right?" Nabi asked.

Kwon Jiyong smiled and shook his head. He used his free hand, the one that wasn't wrapped around her, to gently force her to look up at him. She looked back at him with her big eyes and smiled. Gently, he leaned down and placed his lips against hers. Kissing her softly. Nabi easily kissed him back, leaning herself higher to reach him at a better position. Her cheeks began to heat up in a blush as she bunched up his shirt into her fist, and pulling him closer to her. She felt her heart beating heavy against her ribcage. Although it was winter, she no longer felt the coldness of the air around her. She was too distracted in his presence.

Once they stopped kissing, Kwon Jiyong sighed as he put his forehead against hers. His eyes were closed but Nabi stared at his swollen lips. She placed a hand over his jaw, and began running her hands over the smooth surface.

"What's on your mind?" She asks.

Kwon Jiyong pulled away, just enough so he could look at her. "Date me." He says looking deeply into her eyes.

........

Sorry it's so short and boring. But Jhope you guys liked it. I didn't have time to edit it to make sure for spelling or what not so don't be too surprised by the low quality!

So like I'm sure you all heard the news about Minzy's leaving of 2ne1. A lot may not be going through what I'm going through or understand it, but I'm having a hard time with this information. 2ne1 is my Ultimate Girl Bias and I can truthfully say that I would rather attend their concerts over any other Kpop group concert because they actually helped me a lot. My dream was to attend a 2ne1 concert at least once. Now what? How can I when Minzy isn't there? It's not going to be the same and I hope YG learns from this mistake. He shouldn't push Lee Hi, AKMU, Winner and 2ne1 aside like this. He lost a very important aspect of 2ne1 and the YG Family. I don't want to lose anymore. Seriously. MAMAs was their last stage together as a four member group.

Stage 1 of hearing of Minzy's departure from 2ne1: Confused/Shocked

Stage 2: Denial

Stage 3: Information Sinking In

Stage 4: Anger

Stage 6: Angry Crying

Stage 7: Straight Up Waterfall

Stage 8: Crauging
(Cying&Lauging)

Stage 9: Repeat Stage 7

Final Stage: Sad Acceptance

Blackjacks dont get angry at Minzy. Don't show hate towards her. This was probably such a hard decision for her. We need to support her and love her. We will always love her as a member of 2ne1.
