Chapter 12 - Husband and Boyfriend

Nabi was bent over with her hands on her knees, breathing hard. Her short hair matted to her forehead from the sweat that dripped down her cheeks and neck. She was already wiped out from work, now she was forced into working out with her best friend, Seo Joo Won. She heard his heavy stepping, ready to attack her but she lifted up her arm and shook it.

"No! I'm exhausted!" She said between her breaths.

"Oh come on! It's only been two months since we last practiced. You're so out of shape." Joo Won teased.

"It's your fault for always being busy with work." She snapped. "I'm done! I can't do any more!"

"Don't you like doing taekwondo?" Joo Won said straightening out his Dobak. "Let's go."

Nabi started backing away from him as he got closer. "I'll buy you food!"

Joo Won stopped mid-attack and smiled. "You said it!"

Nabi shook her head watching Joo Won leave the gym and head to the locker rooms. She sighed, knowing his weakness was food. She used the Dobak's long sleeve to wipe her sweat. Taekwondo helped Nabi contain her usual nervous state. She was thankful to Joo Won who was the only one she liked sparing with. However, it's been over three months since she was last able to practice it.

She finally made her way to the locker rooms so she could take a shower. She was beyond tired and she could already feel the aches and bruises from working out so much. The locker room was exactly how a locker room should look like. Except it was empty. Joo Won owned the whole gym and he was able to close it whenever he wanted while Nabi scolded him for wasting money doing so. However, he didn't care.

"Are you ready to go?" Joo Won asked as Nabi walked out.

He was leaning on the wall with one leg lifted up. He had been waiting for her for over thirty minutes since he left the locker rooms for men. As she walked out, she was now wearing a tank top and jean shorts. She wore a jacket to cover up her arms since it was night already and the air was a little chilly. Her hair was damp from the shower, so she had a towel in her hand, rubbing at her head. She looked like a mad lady.

"Yeah. I'll buy you, only, three sets of something. I'm not paying for any more!" Nabi warned him.

"Alright. Let's go!" He smiled sheepishly.

When Nabi and Joo Won arrived at the YG Dormitory building, instead of going up to her apartment, they went straight to the rooftop. Nabi had it decorated before moving in. Her uncle allowed her to have it as it was one of her conditions on working at the company. Joo Won was following behind her, holding all the bags of food he was going to be eating.

As they entered the rooftop, Joo Won was in awe at the view. The building overlooked the city. During the nights, the thousands of buildings in Seoul lit up the sky. The view was breathtaking from where they stood. Besides that, the decor of the rooftop was amazing as well. It had a rustic look mixed with a camping feel. There were plants growing on most of the furniture on the roof. Another spot had a large table where they were going to be eating on. There was also a hammock on the far end of the roof that was able to out look most of the city. As well as a small tent tucked in the corner of the roof. He was surprised that it even had a bench swing with vines growing up the wood. It looked amazing.

"Wow! How were you able to do this?" Joo Won asked.

Nabi shrugged. "My uncle said I could."

"Have you ever slept in that tent?" Joo Won asked setting the bags of food down.

Nabi stepped onto the table and sat down with her legs crossed. "Nope. One of the building is towering over this building. So I don't want to sleep in it. People might see."

"Ah~ that could be creepy. I bet you like the stars huh?" He said.

Nabi smiled brightly. "I love it."

Joo Won took off his blazer and placed it over Nabi's shoulder. She hadn't even noticed since she was busy opening the bags and taking the boxes of food out. She lined them all side by side as she took out the chopsticks. Joo Won climbed up the table and sat across from Nabi. The moment she passed him the chopsticks and he broke them apart, he started shoving food in his mouth. It never phased Nabi since she was used to his large intake on food. While Nabi ate, at a moderate speed, like normal people, she felt her phone buzz. She took it out and swallowed her food down hard at seeing the name.

Nabi. Where are you?

She read. It was a text message from Kwon Jiyong. She hadn't seen him since the morning where he had dropped her off to work. She had left before Kwon Jiyong since he usually worked late in the studio. She guessed he was leaving now and was wondering where she was at. So she texted him back.

I'm at the dormitory. Sorry I didn't come by to let you know. I didn't want to bother you since you were working.

With that she placed her phone back into her pocket. She looked over to Joo Won as he eyed her. They had a silent talk with their heads nodding. Joo Won was nodding towards Nabi's phone she placed in her pocket, knowing she didn't have that much friends, so she shouldn't have that much people contacting her. Nabi just raised a brow and nodded towards the food. He sighed and continued to eat 98% of the food Nabi had bought.

After they ate, Nabi and Joo Won sat on the swing talking. It was always easy for Nabi to talk with Joo Won since they grew up together. They were best friends and she saw him more like a brother than anything. She knew he saw her as a sister too. The last time she had saw him was when he had visited her and her mom back when they were staying in America. Joo Won's family owned a very well known company in Korea. He grew up, trained to take on the company at a young age. He had no intention of doing anything else but just that. All his life has been about the company and he didn't mind at all. That's all he's been wanting to do since Nabi could even remember.

"Have you been taking your pills?" Joo Won asked.

Nabi shook her head. "I hadn't had the need for them in awhile. So I'm holding off on the medicine."

Joo Won tsked her. "Regardless of that, you should take them. What if you have another...."

"I won't." She said cutting him off. "Seriously. I'm fine."

"Alright." He sighed.

"What about you? How is business going for you?" She asked.

Joo Won smiled. "It's great. The percentage in the stock market for our company is just perfect. More hospitals are turning to depend on us with the high tech support that our company has to offer them. We have so far, eight hospitals in Korea and two in America. If we continue to build the solid ground we have with other hospitals, we are going to be doing well enough to open up free clinics for both women and children in...." he dragged off when he heard soft snores coming from his side.

Joo Won sighed with a small smile at seeing Nabi's sleeping body. He loved Nabi to death. He has never seen someone go through so much and still have a smile on their face. He always had a soft spot for her. Joo Won never understood why so many people disliked her when she was the best person anyone could have met. He found himself lucky to grow up with such an amazing person. Nabi helped Joo Won through his tough situations when growing up. He used to be the fat kid I'm school. He was an easy target for people to pick on. Through out elementary and into high school he was known as the fat kid. However, Nabi never once caref that he was chubby. In fact, she scolded him. She had told him that if he wanted to change, he had to do it himself. Nabi had signed him up for Taekwondo. It helped him lose weight easily as well as keep his emotions in check. By the end of his high school years, bullying stopped, and girls tried their very best to wiggle their way into his heart. However, after being tormented by so many girls for the way he looked, he never trusted girls after that, except for Nabi.

He stood up off the swing and took hold of her, easily carrying her onto his back as she slept. He wrapped her legs around his torso and held her up from there. She had her hands around his shoulders as he easily walked with her on his back. He walked towards the exit and walked down the flights of stairs before standing in the somewhat empty hall of the dormitory. There stood across from Joo Won was Kwon Jiyong who had a slight shocked expression.

"What's wrong with her?" He asked panicked. "You didn't do anything did you?" He asked.

Joo Won eyed him. "Uhm...who are you?" He asked. "I mean, I know who you are. G-Dragon right?"

"Yeah. What happened to her?" He asked.

"Can you type the code in for me?" Joo Won asked. "I'm full handed." He said nodding at Nabi's sleeping figure.

"I don't know the password."

"It's 0001." He said. "I'll have her change it after." He said to himself.

Kwon Jiyong slid the door lock up and typed the password in. He heard the lock unclick and opened the door for Joo Won to take Nabi into the house. Kwon Jiyong awkwardly followed him in and waited in the living area while he disappeared into Nabi's room. A feeling he didn't like bubbled in him. He didn't understand why this guy was here.

"Was she drinking?" Kwon Jiyong asked but shook his head. "Right, she's allergic to alcohol."

Joo Won walked out with Nabi's shoes and placed them by the front door. He chuckled while doing so. He couldn't believe she said that.

"Allergic? To alcohol?" He chuckled louder. "She's not allergic to alcohol"

"That's what she said." Kwon Jiyong shrugged.

He just chuckled. "She isn't a heavy drinker. Just trust me when I say, you don't want to see her drunk." He slipped on his blazer that he took off of Nabi's back. "Who are you anyway? To my Nabi, I mean."

"I'm her boyfriend." Kwon Jiyong said. "What about you?" He asked.

"Me?" He smirked. "I'm just her husband."

With that, Joo Won waved and left Nabi's dorm. Kwon Jiyong stood in Nabi's dorm, dumbfounded but what he just heard. He wasn't sure exactly why Nabi had lied to him about being allergic to alcohol and why he shouldn't see Nabi drunk.

Kwon Jiyong walked over to Nabi's room that had the door cracked open. He could easily see her body laying sound asleep on her bed. Her soft snores could be heard from where he stood. He didn't like that, that man had brought her in on his back like a shining prince. He knew the code and he knew that Nabi wasn't allergic to alcohol. Kwon Jiyong wasn't sure what uncomfortable feeling he had that this man knew a lot about Nabi while he barely knew a thing. He was going to be fixing that soon.
