Chapter 4 - A Date With The Fans

Daesung stood in the mirror and smiled at his appearance. He turned this way and that way. His makeup artist, his stylist and his hair stylist had just left. Now he was waiting for his managers to come pick him up. As he left his dorm, he entered the living room to find the other guys sitting aimlessly on the couches. Daesung wondered what they were doing in the dorms and where their girlfriends were at.

"What are you guys doing here?" He asked.

"Jang Mi's mad at me for eating her cookies she hid in my side of the closet." Choi Seung-Hyun sighed. "So I'm hiding from her until she cools down."

"Nabi is in Japan with her brother, preparing things for her company." Kwon Jiyong sighed as he played whatever game was on his phone.

Youngbae sighed. "Hyorin is busy with her show. They're filming a three day special for their two hundredth episode."

Everyone turned to Seungri who had a bowl of bibimbap on his lap as he ate carelessly. "My mom told me to go make an album because I'm annoying her." Everyone cracked a chuckle as he continued to eat.

"Where are you headed?" Youngbae asked.

"A date." Daesung smirked as he straightened out his outfit.

Choi Seung-Hyun chuckled and scoffed at Daesung's immaturity. "You mean a Guerilla Date."

Everyone began laughing along with Daesung. "A date with my fans is never a disappointing thing." He smiled happily.

Everyone went along and began tending to their own business. Daesung's phone rang with a text from his managers, letting him know that they were waiting down in the front of the dorms. He bid a fairwell to his bandmates as well as good luck to those who had girlfriends, as he exited from their dorm room.

Daesung made his way to the elevator, and like always waited for the old thing to get to him. Once the metal doors slid open, Sean smiled and gave him a head nod as Daesung returned it with a light bow. Sean was on the phone so Daesung didn't want to interrupt his conversation. He went inside the elevator and pressed the lobby floor. He then waited for the slow elevators to take him. He began making sure his appearance was alright as well as his outfit, not wanting to disappoint his fans.

Daesung left the elevator the moment the door slid open. His manager waited for him down in the lobby and soon escorted him as they talked happily amongst each other. They soon began making their way to the location of the Guerilla Date.

Daesung was in deep thought about the show. He knew that fans adored him but also knew that he wasn't the most favored one amongst the other nembers. He didn't hold it against the other member nor did he blame fans for it either. In fact, he understood why. Choi Seung-Hyun, is tall, handsome and is an excellent actor. Seungri is handsome, cute and even funny. Youngbae, is sweet, good looking and has a voice of an angel. Kwon Jiyong is rich. So Daesung understood why he wasn't at all as popular as the other members.

Daesung worried that nobody would show up for the shoot. None of the fans anyways. One side of him would constantly remind him the success of the group, but the other half would remind him that it was a group effort and not a single person effort. He was sure they would draw up crowds if it was a Big Bang Guerilla Date instead of just the show dedicated to him. If it did come down to the fact that nobody showed up to the show, he would instantly feel bad for the host as well as the staff members who have to stand around with large equipment while following him, only to have one or two fans present. It's something that he was definitely concerned about. It was insecurity he knew he had but wouldn't tell a soul.

"I just received a text from the PD. He said that we have to put the mic on you quickly since we're running a little late." His manager spoke up, breaking all his train of thoughts.

"Ok. That's not a problem." Daesung replied.

As the van pulled up to the street, Daesung was awestruck by the crowd that surrounded the large stage lights being held up. He knew fans would come, but he didn't know this much would show up. The van pulled up to a man wearing a yellow staff uniform along with a headset and an Ipad. When he saw the van, he walked up to the van and knocked lightly on the window.

"Please hurry. We're on in a minute." He says before tending his duties.

Daesung began running the mic wires under his shirt and clipped the small mic at the collar of his shirt. He placed the box that was connected to all the mics as well as the staff. He gave a thumbs up to his manager who rolled his window down for one of the staff members to cue the host. Once the host pointed to the van, the other staff members opened up the van and Daesung stepped out.

The crowd cheered happily and it made Daesung's heart skip a beat. He waved and bowed as he passed by his fans. They openly grabbed at him as he walked by, he didn't like it, but he knew it was something his fans always did. It's something he gotten used to. He went up to the host and bowed to him while shaking his hands.

"This is the first time we've had Daesung here on his own." The host smiled happily.

Daesung bowed towards the camera. "Thank you for having me here." He says with a bright smile on his face.

They began walking down the street along with the cameras and lighting. The host talked to him for awhile as the crowd followed closely behind. Daesung stood back ready to demonstrate his impressive dance skills like the host had asked. However, before he could dance, he was knocked off his feet and his back hit the ground with a loud thud. He groaned loudly as the girl on top of him apologized repeatedly.

This wasn't how he wanted his first Guerilla Date to go.
