Hello everyone, I’m .... Today I’m so happy / to have this chance to speak to you about / living away from family.

As you can see, nowadays, many young people live away from their parents. The reason is/ they have to study at university which is far away home or / they want to have a free / and independent life. One thing you can admit that / not living in the arms of parents may bring to them good / and bad things. If anyone ask you if you would like live alone / or live with parents, what will be your selection?

To find the most suitable answer for this question, I will start by telling you about advantages of living away from parents. And then, I continue with disadvantages .

It will last about 7 minutes. Now welcome to my topic!

B. BODY

1. Advantages of living away from family

People say that: “Home is the best”. But have you ever thought if you live alone, what should you can gain from an indepent life?

The first thing about living away from home is you have more freedom. You can set your own rules,/ invite friends to your place / and have parties whenever you want. There is no one reminding you when you go to bed lately / or get up at noon. Watching TV all days / or surfing Internet all nights is always permited. When you go home late after working part-time job, / going out with your friends, you won’t excuse anyone. But you must always remember to control yourself / and be responsible with your actions.

Secondly, living alone is a favourable opportunity for you to get acquainted with many people. It’s easy for you to go outside / and take part in some social activities. If you join a volunteer club, you can go to a lot of locations. You can meet someone who has same hobby, same character, same life opinion with you / and make friend with him. I think your communication skills will improve so much / so you will be more and more confident at crowd.

I will move to the third advantage of living away from family. I think you can learn how to do everything by yourself. Living alone means that you have to do all things / such as cooking meals, going to markets, washing clothes, cleaning rooms,... So you can gain some skills to live well in all conditions. It helps you not only become self-sufficient, mature and responsible / but also have a firm stuffto face the world full-of-challenges.

2. Disadvantages of living away from family

Now the second main part I want to present to you is some disadvantages of living away from family.

It’s the first pity that you can get homesick. At the beginning of living away from family, you always miss your parents, your sisters, your brothers,… so much. You will face with loneliness and emptiness. Whenever you are sick or tired, / theres’s no one taking care of you. When you are stressed or busy with work, / no one is be with you to raise you up.

Let’s move to the second disadvantage I want to tell you, living alone means that you must manage your life. All things of your independent life should be paid attention to / like paying for bills every month, repairing equipments at home, cleaning your house, going to market, cooking for yourself… When you live at home, your parents should do everything for you. At that time, those things are so simple. But when you live alone, they become very very (repeat) difficult. They seem to be impossible mission with some younger having dependent behaviors.

The finally I want to emphasis with you is that if you live alone, you can be far away with your parents. You can’t take care of them carefully / and can’t share happiness, sadness together. If your family has some issues, you do not know about those. So you can’t help parents to solve them. Sometimes, you will feel that / you are not member of your family.

C. CONCLUSION

So my presentation will end now. I think it showed you about benefits and difficulties of living away from family.

Living away from family is a big opportunity for you to learn how to become independently, / how to do anything by yourself, / how to make relationship better. Beside I admit that it will bring to you some difficulties such as feeling alone, / facing with many troubles in living and / not closing with family.

In my opinion, living at home is the best, while living alone can make you more mature. Now I am studying far from home but I always come to house every weekend. It makes me not only learn how to live independent / but also know all about my family.
