20 (extra chapter)

There were so many things left unanswered when it came to the whole thing that happened to Jisung and Hyunjin. In such that nobody knew why Jisung and the others returned to the time they were in high school, why Jisung, Felix, Hyunjin, and Hanmi still remembered about their past life, and why nobody other than them didn't have the memories?

That was all answered when Jisung, Felix, and Jisung sat inside a cafe Chan just opened after Jeongin left to study overseas just like how it should have been but this time he had Seungmin studying in the same place as him. "So...you're saying you asked for something sweet from Hyunjin?", Jisung pointed at Felix and Hyunjin. The boy who was only one year younger than him nodded. On the day of his funeral, he had the urge to smoke even though he had never done it before and Chan happened to have a box with him but when he tried it out, he ended up coughing uncontrollably that he had to give up the idea of taking another puff.

The bitter after taste at the tip of his tongue was so unsettling that he had to ask Hyunjin if they had anything sweet served in the funeral."Felix, seriously? That was my funeral" Felix threw his hands to the air. He was supposed to be praying for his friend's goodness on the way to heaven but how could he when he couldn't handle the taste of cigarettes?

"Hyunjin was too busy crying to reply to me...so, he just gave me a sweet from his pocket", Jisung felt like things were being unraveled one by one. "and...where did you get the sweets?", He narrowed his eyes at Hyunjin who hesitantly answered. "erm...before I went out I saw it in your sweet jar at home, so, I took it" Jisung felt so stupid at that moment that he had to slam his hands on the table.

"That was my personal sweet jar you know", Hyunjin rubbed his nape. "So, I shouldn't have touched that?" Jisung shook his head. More than being angry at Hyunjin, he was actually very glad Hyunjin took it. "I'm so dumb, had I ate that earlier and not store it in there, maybe I could have saved my ass earlier", Jisung rubbed the bridge of his nose but there wasn't anything he could do about it. He was just happy that Hyunjin was the one who ate it.

Thinking back about it, he was a bit--no, very touched that Hyunjin must had wished to see him again but what about Felix. What did he wished?

"oh...I wished I could have stayed in Korea", Jisung blinked. If that was his wish didn't that meant he had his memories from the beginning? Felix quickly denied him. "I really didn't know anything back then...I just had this urge to stay here, you know? Even though the day before I was so ready to leave Korea. Guess my wish had been granted though in the process, I have to sacrifice my future as a businessman..."

Sacrifice...that word reminded Jisung that the wishes they made came with a small payment. For Jisung, it probably cost him losing Hyunjin again and again since he was the only thing he had ever treasure. For Hyunjin, it must have been his future in JYPe.

What about...Hanmi?

"How come she remembers it too?", to that, only Hanmi knew about what happened.

"What are you guys chitchatting about?!", Chan came from behind, surprising them with his loud voice and Hyunjin reacted dramatically, flinching and almost throwing himself to Jisung who just laughed and rubbed his shoulder in return.

Seeing this, Chan smiled fondly at them. "Hyung!", Hyunjin raised his voice, knitting his eyebrows but Chan knew he was only joking around when he made himself to seem angry. "Hyung...your cafe is doing well", Felix said, looking around and whistling at the customers that kept pouring in as If it was the first time he was seeing this.

Chan opened a cafe just like how life had planned for him. The purpose was so that Chan can collect enough money to open his own company one day. He was just a few steps away from that.

Jisung who had not said anything in a while tapped his finger on the table, he wanted to say something to Chan but he was afraid he will overstep his line as a friend. "Hyung..." but he said it anyway. As much as he didn't want to overstep the boundary, he wanted his friends to be happy. "Take Minho hyung to a date sometimes..."

Chan blinked a few times at that but he only smiled in return. "I will. Did you notice it too? He doesn't look very energetic nowadays", to be truthful, , Minho started to be like that after Chan opened his cafe. Minho felt distant from Chan but he said nothing since he wanted to be supportive of him but it could only bring a bad omen to them. Jisung knew. He had been watching for years how the couple grew cold because of their dreams and most probably because of the lack of communication. Jisung laughed at that, he wasn't really one to speak about it.

"Chan!", the three of them whipped their heads to the entrance, Minho coming in with a bright smile on his face. "Oh, the others are here too", He said.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Did I come too early?", Chan shook his head, pulling Minho by his shoulder before dismissing himself from his friends. Jisung stared at the couple blankly. That was uncalled for. The last time he saw Minho, the older had a gloomy look on his face.

He turned his head to Hyunjin who was quietly sipping on his americano. "You talked with Minho hyung, didn't you?", he only smiled faintly.

"You really can't hold yourself back, can you?", Even if Jisung put it that way, it wasn't like he didn't do it either. Hinting Chan about Minho could probably change a lot of things. They already promised to not change anymore future because of the consequences that they may have to face but neither of them could stop doing that.

Felix shook his head. He truly didn't understand the way this couple thinks. "You guys always think too much. Be careful this, be careful that. Don't you know the moment we returned to the past, the future already started to change? So, just do whatever you want", He stood up, leaving his two friends as he had to rush for his part-time job, he had to learn how to live on his own and not depend too much on his family as he did in the past with his business.
