How did it come to this? Three boys went to a short trip to the beach with a girl. It was an unexpected group.

This was the first time Jisung had ever saw Felix when he was 28. The male who was only a day younger than him no longer his his freckles under a concealer and his baby fat had disappeared. Weirdly, he looked more like himself than he was 10 years ago. Maybe because he was no longer the kid who was trying to fit in the Korean's standard.

"You look nice", Jisung said to break the ice, Felix who was no better than him just laughed awkwardly at his attempt. " We should find a spot first...", Felix said, looking at the many empty spot at the beach. Not many people came to the beach because it was working day. "You really brought Hyunjin with you"

Felix did tell him he could bring Hyunjin along but he didn't know Jisung would really bring him. In the past, Jisung would totally oppose of it. "No reason I can't", Jisung stated when they found a spot. HanMi had ran to the sea long before they arrived at the spot. Hyunjin was only looking at them as he walked behind them. He didn't want to interrupt their reunion, especially, when he felt that this wasn't a normal reunion.

After he quickly handled the matter at JYP, Jisung called him and asked if he wanted to go to the beach tomorrow. He even prepared a lot of things before this day came. He knew Jisung...Jisung would be excited and jumpy when he arrived at the sea but when they met Felix and HanMi at the parking lot, his enthusiasm had lowered down.

"Don't mind me. I'm just going to soak my feet in the water for a bit", Felix and Jisung nodded, Hyunjin did a little jig until he arrived a few feets away from HanMi.

While HanMi was in the water with her float, he only stood at the shore, letting the calm water wash over his feet. HanMi who saw him, slowly approached the calm looking boy. "Hey!", She raised her hand to attract Hyunjin's attention.

"I'm HanMi!", She said cheerfully and Hyunjin gave her an acknowledging nod.  Hyunjin" he said in return.

"Are you not going into the water?", She asked, spinning with her float and splashing some water around her. "Nah... it's too cold", she raised her eyebrows. "It's not that cold!"

She said it wasn't that cold but Hyunjin could see that she was shivering but she still jumped into the water even though the wind was this strong. There must be something wrong with her head. "You're... Felix's friend?"

"Yeah! But I know Jisung first!", Hyunjin raised his eyebrow. Jisung's friend? He thought he knew everyone Jisung knew...

An idea clicked in his mind. So, this was the woman whom Jisung supposedly had an affair with.

He shook off the thought from his brain and smiled politely at the girl. "Are you sure you want to be in the water any longer? You look a bit cold", Hyunjin said, mentioning that she was shivering too much. "Yeah...I'm fine!", She said out of her stubbornness. She was like a kid.

Meanwhile, Jisung and Felix sat down on the mat their brought. "I know the gist of it", Jisung said. Actually it wasn't just a gust of it. He knew everything now after he read the journal. When he read it, some memories did flash but it wasn't that bad and he didn't faint. Felix hummed. "Is it fine to go out? Hyunjin said you had a fever"

Jisung shook his head, "it's not that bad plus I want to come clear with what's happening"

"I lied to them both, didn't I?", They observed the two award figure talking to each other from afar. The both of them never thought they would see this interaction, didn't know they could talk so well with each other.

"I just want to confirm one thing..." Because it wasn't written in the book but if he knew himself well..."did I do all of these for Hyunjin?"

Felix sighed and groaned, rubbing his face on his palm. He thought Jisung would ask him bit by bit but he jumped right into the question. "It's because you couldn't do it...you couldn't let him down"

"That time when the accident happened, Hyunjin just started working shortly after your wedding", Felix knew because he returned for Jisung's wedding but he didn't enter the venue, he just watched from afar then he stayed for a few months. He was in contact with Hyunjin but the older didn't know he was in Korea.

"He been trying...for the past 10 years to land a good job", the Felix turned his gaze towards Jisung. "You saw him trying so hard. It's his dream. While everyone told him to give up. You couldn't.", Maybe because Jisung loved him too much, he couldn't bear to say no to him even if it was almost impossible for Hyunjin to be successful as a dancer.

"Then...he received a call from oversea. Someone saw his videos online", right, at that time Hyunjin had a channel where he uploaded videos of his choreography. "They wanted him to work for them"

"He told me he had a conflict to leave you or not. ", thinking back, both Hyunjin and Jisung were foolish. They couldn't give up on their dream but they would drop everything in a matter of second for each other. "Then he got another call from JYP."

"The offer was smaller but he accepted it because it was the closest to his dream and you", Felix blew a hair out of his face. It had grew longer but he hadn't had the time to cut it because of how busy he was, how distracted he was with all of this. "still, he had to go to US. JYP told him to learn from the dancers oversea"

"Then the accident happened while he was away", Jisung shut his eyes, the accident had been a tragic memory. It was painful to remember. He didn't want to remember it. "That accident...it wasn't just a small accident"

"A motorcycle ran into a bus and the bus had to avoid the motorcycle which caused lots more car accident including yours", Jisung shook his head. He knew Felix was lying. The car accident of his..."my car accident was not caused by that. I was distracted while driving"

Indeed, he was distracted by the noises at the back, he didn't realize his car was moving by the roadside and an unlucky girl had been there. "Can you stop saying that?", Felix had enough of Jisung blaming himself. "It wasn't your fault! I heard it! You were about to get hit by another car! You avoided it! You weren't just blindly distracted!"

"The car even grazed your car! It was about to crash into you!"

"Hadn't you avoided that car you would be the one on the patient bed. Not Juyeong! Much worst...you could have died, Jisung!", Felix yelled but not loud enough for the other two to hear them and he lowered his voice towards the end. "I know the rest of it now", Jisung said.

So, he who could not bear to let Hyunjin down had tried to cover everything up because he didn't want Hyunjin to miss his chance. It just showed how unlucky he was to run into Hyunjin's superior's niece.

"And I lied to him for the whole month he was in US then continued to lie when he returned home.", Hyunjin did call him and asked if he was fine because he saw the accident in the news but he blindly said he was fine when he was in a hospital with injuries.

He didn't want to worry Hyunjin, didn't want to let him down.  Jisung laughed at himself. "What a hopeless romantic guy"

"Yeah, tell me about it", Felix said, pulling his legs up together and hugging them." So, about Dr.Woo"

"I hired him. You were emotionally unstable and so was Juyeong", Jisung was surprised. He didn't know the girl had the same problem as him. He already knew about his condition seeing how his body reacts to everything. "You did?"

"Yeah, but you didn't know you guys had the same doctor", it was amazing how Felix was able to keep all of this to himself for months. "You guys are bunch of liars"

"But not as bad as you I might say. I'm not the one with many secrets. You are", Felix mumbled. "I don't even know what's your deal with your step father"

"Wait I have another issue with him?", Felix laughed. "You have issue with everyone! Ask your step father about it. Form what I see, he's a nice guy"

"You saw him?", Felix shrugged. He did went to Jisung's house a few days ago and ate dinner with the family but there was no need for him to tell Jisung that. He didn't have anyone to cook for him that night and he didn't feel like eating out alone.

"I guess, that's all of it?", Jisung said and Felix nodded. Now, there was no more secret about the accident.. At least, none between them. "I'm going to tell them"

"For real?", Jisung was sure this time. What he couldn't do. He should do it.  "So, you really will end it all...", Felix muttered but Jisung felt a sense of familiarity in those words. It felt like something he had said before.

Felix had no say in this. It was Jisung's decision and Jisung thought "It's the right thing to do..."

"So, you're going to tell them today?", Jisung contemplated before he answered. "I will tell Hyunjin first"

After they finished talking to each other, they finally called out the other two who had been waiting for them to finish their 'catching up' session. "Took you guys long enough! What did you talk about?!" The girl asked, almost falling onto the sand if not for Jisung quickly getting up and pulling her. "Why are you such a clutz?"

The girl puffed her cheek and blew a strain of hair out of her face.

Hyunjin moved closer. "So, did the talk went well?", He asked, pulling the girl off Jisung, later dusting off his hand that was dirtied by some sand. The girl quickly rubbed off her arm, wondering why he had touched her with his hand covered with sand. "Yeah, I caught up a lot", he said, sending a meaningful gaze to Felix.

"Well, now that ended. Who wants to eat barbecue tonight!", Felix asked, throwing his hands to the air and all of them agreed. "If so, HanMi help me buy ingredients at the market!"

"Wait! I thought you already bought them!", She shrieked as Felix pulled her away with him.

Jisung laughed at their behaviour. They were truly like children even though he both of them was already 27 and 28. Sometimes, he forgot they were adults.

"Should we go check in at the resort first?", Jisung hummed, running after Hyunjin who had walked a few steps ahead of him, bumping his shoulder against Hyunjin's. Hyunjin raised his hand and ruffled Jisung's hair. "Hyunjin, your hand is dirty"

"We can wash your hair later. I will help you".

"No thanks. All I know you would get the shampoo into my eyes", he said as they arrived at the check-in counter of the resort.

They had three rooms. One for the both of them, two for Felix and HanMi respectively. "Jisung after dinner..." Hyunjin suddenly coughed out. Jisung whipped his head towards Hyunjin. "Yeah?"

"I just want to ask if you want have a short walk with me", Jisung pointed at the beach. "There? After dinner?"

"Yeah sure but can we go eat first? I don't want to miss lunch.", He complained. They couldn't wait for the other two all day long. Plus, he knew Felix would definitely bring HanMi to eat somewhere.

He was 1000% sure, Felix only wanted to let him and Hyunjin had some time alone.
