Jisung was cuddled up with Hyunjin's warmth the first thing in the morning. Must had been because of the trip, Hyunjin was still knocked out. Jisung noticed whenever he drove a long trip, Hyunjin will always be tired out the next day. He took note in his mind, next time if they wanted to go on a short trip they should make it at least a 3 days trip. A day for Hyunjin to rest and another two days to have fun. He relaxed by stretching his neck and body before he turned around and pushed himself closer to Hyunjin, waiting for him to wake up.

He grumbled and sighed, the man was showing no sign of waking up at all. Even after Jisung had slapped him lightly across his face. Hyunjin remained silent and continued sleeping peacefully. He pulled Hyunjin's cheek and to no avail, he was still not moving. "Are you dead or something?", He said in annoyance before pushing himself up.

With the lack of humanity within himself, he walked closer to the glass door in their room and tugged the curtain open. The sunlight that was slightly piercing the curtain was now bravely lighting up the room. Jisung could see little particle of air flying around and paid no mind to it. Hyunjin finally showed a reaction by groaning and mumbling something amidst his drowsiness. Jisung went in first for shower and came out to see Hyunjin who was finally completely woken up. "Morning, sleepy head"

Hyunjin smiled, he stared at Jisung for a long while until the other became embarrassed and disconnected his gaze first. He was fine when he woke up but when he looked at Hyunjin and Hyunjin also stared at him with the same gaze as yesterday he was reminded of the direct and brave action he had chosen to take. Maybe they had been together for 10 years but logically saying, he didn't remember any of those 10 year and hence he was inexperience.

He, himself hadn't realized that he felt 'something' for Hyunjin. Hyunjin knew what he did yesterday was something he had done repulsively but he didn't regret it. He also knew talking about it would put Jisung in an awkward position,so, he said nothing about it. "My grandfather said he will to get his car", This finally got Jisung's attention. "I told you I would come back...who told you to go here".

"We could still go back if you want to be there longer", Jisung threw a towel at Hyunjin and shook his head. "Nevermind. I also feel not good staying there and eating free food. Feels like I'm taking advantage of your kind family".

Hyunjin smiled, edging closer to Jisung and ruffled Jisung's hair playfully. "Jisung, you're my family too". Jisung stayed mum, watching Hyunjin as he went into the bathroom. Somehow the word 'family' coming out from Hyunjin's mouth had sounded very sweet in his ears. He shook his head, he was getting melodramatic.

-

There were times where unknown name in his contact list would call him and most of the time, he would not answer them but this time, the first time in a while, his step father had called him. He glanced at Hyunjin who was picking out some cabbages at the vegetable isle as he pushed the trolley with his body weight. "Jisung".

The said young man hummed, "Did you have breakfast with mom yet?", he asked, trying to strike a casual conversation. "She had spicy crab the first thing in the morning", Jisung laughed and nodded even though the old man couldn't see him.  That was indeed how his mother was. She liked spicy food which was the tootal opposite of Jisung who used to love spicy food but grew to love sour things more. He put the phone on his shoulder, holding it with his ear pressed to it and his shoulder raised a bit higher-- his two other hands were busy comparing two packs of cheese from different brands. Hyunjin put in two cabbages into the trolley and Jisung handed the two cheese to him, mouthing to him to choose which one as he pushed the trolley forward. "Just that...I heard from Hyunjin you're on a break"

"yeah...I took some days off. Why?", He wasn't worried that the old man had something to demand since he knew this person wasn't ass unreasonable as he appeard to be. His words might be irritating for the ear to hear but he meant well. "Come home today. I have something to return to you. I think it's better if you keep it yourself."

"???", Jisung pulled the phone away from his ears and raised his eyebrow before putting it back near his ear. "Sure, I should be there by lunch until night"

When the phone call ended, Hyunjin snuck up to him and poked his waist. Jisung flinched, glaring a dagger at Hyunjin. "From home?", Jisung nodded, telling Hyunjn they would be going to his house for lunch and to stay for the  whole day.

It was weird wasn't it? Just the day before he was eager to find out what really happened to him but now he was just strolling around with Hyunjin but he was only calm becuase Felix had told him he would tell everything to him the next time he meet up with Jisung. He also confirmed forcing himself to remember something out of his brain's will was painful.

Hyunjin stopped in front of Jisung, fixing Jisung's sunglasses that was a bit tilted. "This glasses is getting annoying", Jisung said, pushing the glasses up his nose bridge. "Maybe I should meet a new doctor" Hyunjin tilted his head, wondering if there was any problem with Dr.Woo. "I don't feel comfortable around him", Hyunjin hummed. Although Dr.Woo was an acquaintance, he also thought it would be better to get someone else.

"Also, Hyunjin", Jisung called out as they exit the market after paying for their stuff. "You're too clingy", he didn't say anything but he had been very clingy since what happened yesterday. If Jisung could put it a sentence, Hyunjin was getting ahead of himself. If this was days ago, he could brush off Hyunjin easily but he was also at fault for giving him hope.

"Nevermind", he said, seeing the disappointed look in Hyunjin's eyes.

While Hyunjin was loading their stuff into the car trunk, he sat at the passenger seat, playing with his phone when he saw someone talking to Hyunjin by the rear mirror. He looked away and didn't ask anything to Hyunjin when he entered the car, starting the engine. It was probably just someone he knew.

As he always got dizzy when he played with his phone in the car, he put it away, resting his chin on his hand as he looked out, a bit bored. Days thinking of stressful things, it's really a but weird when he decided to wait and rest a bit. "Bored?", Jisung hummed, his eyes lazily hanging as the cold air of air-conditioning blew on his face. "I will talk then...", He hummed again and let Hyunjin talk.

As he was talking, Jisung wasn't really paying attention. Just because yesterday he did something that seemed like a love confession didn't mean he would suddenly start acting like a mad dog in love. Something caught his intention outside the window. Just as they were getting out from the parking lot, he saw the man Hyunjin was talking to walking up to a girl who seemed so much like HanMi.

He looked away and pressed his fingers against his temple. Resting? Waiting? It was more difficult then working in a new song.

Hyunjin noticed how agitated Jisung was behaving and pointed at the back. "I bought some sour candy for you", Jisung lifted his head and blinked. "Ah...sure", he said, twisting his body and reaching out for some plastic at the back. He patted Hyunjin's shoulder as if saying ' good going for trying to sooth me '.

And it did work, he was now fully distracted by the candy he was eating. He felt like a child again.
-
Jisung looked at Hyunjin who was talking with his mother then back at his step father who had entered a room, he followed behind.

As he went inside, Hyunjin was actually watching his from his side view. He beamed a smile at his mother-in-law and turned his head back at the television.

Jisung closed the door behind him and the old man had fished out something from his working desk. Jisung blinked a few times when he saw the book in the old man's hand. A drop of sweat rolled down his sweaty palm. His face had turned pale, he was sure he had burnt the book into ashes. It was beyond repair. Now, looking closer at the book it was slightly different. It looked more tattered than the one he had before.

The old man placed the book in his hand. "I really think I shouldn't be the one holding onto this", his step father was about to walk out when he grabbed him by his sleeve. He looked at his step father with a shocked eyes, his body has reacted before his brain told him to stop. His mouth went off, "What do you know?"

The old man sighed, patting Jisung's hand. "I didn't read it. I don't know",

"Read it...if you want to know what really happened to me or just keep it. So, stop bothering me",Jisung remembered something and this time it came naturally to him.

"But I told you to read it...", He muttered and the old man shook his head. "I got the message...you didn't want me to bother you. So, there was no need for me to read it."

Jisung glared at the book in his hand then looked back up at the old man. "But...I see you're not bothered by me anymore. So, it's better I give you this back", soon after, he left and Jisung lingered in the room for a long while u til Hyunjin knocked the door and entered, Jisung immediately hid the book behind his back.

Hyunjin's eyes followed his hands motion and turned blind eyes, pulling Jisung by his hand. "Your favourite volleyball team is playing now", Jisung nodded, going out with Hyunjin.

"Wait a minute", he went up and placed the book inside his wardrobe, hiding it from plain sight.

Then he walked out again, his mother had went outside to water her flowers while his step father had retreated to his room which left him and Hyunjin.

Although there was a big space for Jisung to sit anywhere he liked, he chose to sit the closest to Hyunjin.

He saw Hyunjin having difficulty to lean against his arm while watching the telly and smiled as he sat next to him. "I might not have much experience but I have a shoulder to offer", he said, patting his shoulder.

Hyunjin leaned his head against Jisung's shoulder and sighed in relief that Jisung was willing to act normal around him. He thought it would be awkward with all the things had happened but Jisung was fine with it. " I have a question..."

"How did I treat you before?", Hyunjin raised his head, looking confusedly at Jisung. Where had the question came from? "I'm curious..."

Hyunjin blinked, giving it some thoughts. "Just like now...you treat me just like now", There wasn't any different even if he remembered or not of his memories. He will always be Jisung, he never changed. "but...", Jisung said, confused because as much as he seen through all those memories, he had always been alone. Didn't that mean he was neglecting Hyunjin?

"You're a bit cold of course...after we got married. I was only hurt because you kept things from me", More than the cold treatment, he was more hurt by Jisung who kept everything to himself. He wanted him to share his burden just as much as they had shared the same goal to succeed in life. "are you hurt now?", Jisung asked. After all, he was still hiding many things from Hyunjin.

Hyunjin shook his head. What was there to be painted about? " How can I be hurt when I know you're doing all of this for me? ". The only reason why Jisung didn't want to tell Hyunjin anything was because he was afraid of hurting Hyunjin. He thought if the memories were enough to flip him over...it might be worse for Hyunjin who had treasured him a lot to know the burden he had been carrying.

He understood the past Jisung a bit now. He might have been wanting to protect Hyunjin or he might didn't want Hyunjin to find the ugly side of him. That's why he went to the villa by himself, that's why he kept the accident from Hyunjin...he wanted to show he was happy all the time to Hyunjin.

However, there was a small part of himself that felt it was such a pity. It's such a pity that he tried to protect Hyunjin but didn't realize he was the one hurting Hyunjin at the same time.

"I hope the day I could speak honestly with you will come ", he whispered in his heart as Hyunjin leaned his head against Jisung's shoulder again.
