Jisung walked wobbly towards the patient's room, his hand lingered at the door handle when someone slid the door open, beating him to it. "...", his eyes roamed around the person's face, trying to remember this face when a name slipped out of his lips. "HanMi?"

The woman showed a complex expression, a frown adorned her sharp brows and a bit of anger was floating in her eyes. She walked pass by Jisung, carrying an empty food tray with her, and the view inside the room was finally exposed to Jisung. Ignoring the voice at the back of his head that was telling him to go after the petite lady, he gripped the door frame and took his first step in before striding towards the sickbay where a lady was laid down, wearing a few types of equipment he couldn't name due to the lack of interest in medical knowledge and information.

The feeling of nausea was overtaking and so, he rushed into the toilet inside the room, throwing up the breakfast he had with Hyunjin this morning. He scrunched his nose in disgust, Hyunjin would probably be sad that he threw up the food he made but what worse, he would probably started bawling like a child if he knew Jisung threw up at all. "Hey, are you alright?", Jisung slowly pushed her away--not in a harsh way because he didn't know how he was supposed to feel about this girl. To him, she was just another missing faces in his broken memory box-- in short, just another stranger. He wiped the corner of his lips before washing his hands. He probably needed to eat something sweet after this.

He looked at the lady lying on the bed, pointing his finger rudely at her, "that..." HanMi sighed. "My sister is fine. She had trouble breathing yesterday and I was at parents meeting yesterday.", she carefully explained. "When I rushed to the hospital I tried to call you but you still had my number blocked...again. So, I used the grab driver phone but you still didn't pick up". She shook her head. "but it's fine...I know you're busy."

Jisung's wholebeing trembled, if this lady was really HanMi's sister then why was she being so nonchalant around him? At that time, he surely saw the lady had been ran into by him in his memory. There was no doubt in that unless there was something wrong with his memory. "Excuse me...", Jisung muttered under his breath, slipping away from his confused state and away from HanMi. "You! Unblock me first. You're making me worried."

Worried...she was worried of him but he concern was making him feel only one thing.

Uneasiness, --- what other word could describe this situation better and convey his feeling than that? What he thought he knew was false and what seemed like bad was worst than he thought it would be.

It didn't take a genius to put two ingredients together. If he tried to decipher what was going on ... he was friendly with the sister of the lady he almost killed . Albeit the uneasiness, he felt relieved knowing the lady survived the car crash.

Did Hyunjin lied to him? He said Jisung had never been involved in any kind of accident . He bowed at the hospital staff that was leaving the rooftop and sat on a bench , looking aroudn while shaking his leg in nervousness. He licked his chapped lips a few times and brushed his hair back. The sound of his foot tapping on the floor was interupted by the creaking sound of the door being opened by HanMi who came in with two can of drinks.

She saw the way Jisung was vigorously tapping his foot on the floor and sat next to him, landing a can of cider in his hand and Jisung had realized, this was his favourite drink. She seemed to knew him better than he thought she would be...maybe as well as Hyunjin did. "I know you're worried about her". Jisung narrowed his eyes, trying to find any hidden meaning behind those words but there was none. "It's been four years...", She continued to mumble.

Then she added, " and you're her only friend that stayed with her", Tucking her hair behjind her ear, she smiled. "...you even became my friend and I'm thankful for that". She opened the can with her long nails and raised the can into the air to cheer herself up and also Jisung. "but you really need to stop blocking me everytime you're feeling down...it's a bad habit". She laughed and Jisung took a big gulp of the cider the continued to drink in silence.

He readied himself to ask HanMi a few questions . His resolution to know better of this situation still was his main priority. Clearing his throat and patting his chest a few times to finally pull himself together, he put the can next to him and finally turning around to face her. " We are friends?"

HanMi stared at him with an odd gaze, tilting her head as if asking him 'isn't it obvious?'. "ouch, yeah unless you don't want us to be. Seeing how you won't let me meet Hyunjin or other people you know other than Felix"

"Why didn't I let them meet if we're only friends..."he muttered, more to himself but loud enough for HanMi to respond to him. " Don't ask me. You should know the answer yourself", She laughed elbeit sounding a bit upset about it. Well, at least there was one thing clear. He didn't cheat on Hyunjin and that was a big relief.

She cupped her chin, humming before her eyes widdened as if a light bulb had lit up. "Why didn't I think of this sooner! It must be because..."

"You're afraid Hyunjin will misunderstand us. Must be because I'm good looking, right? You could just tell him I have absoluetly no interest on you", She said like e genius, grinning as she placed her finger under Jisung's chin cheekily and on reflect, Jisung flicked her forehead like an old habit, thanks to Hyunjin getting on his nerve everyday. "How old are you? Why are you talking informally to me?"

The long haired lady grumbled, patting down her bangs. "You're still on that? I'm only a year younger than you!"

She handed her hand to Jisung, "...?", and rolled her eyes, taking hold of Jisung's phone from him and unlocking it easily before going through his contact list. "There you go", satisfied, she handed it back to Jisung after removing herself from the blocked numbers.

She patted her hands and shoulders as if she had done something well in a smug manner, Jisung scoffed at her actions. Now he was even sure he didn't cheat on Hyunjin, at least not with someone like her who seemed to have bigger ego than he had.

"I have to go back to work. Go to Juyeong's room one last time before you go back",

"...and our promise to go to the beach with Felix is still on. You can bring Hyunjin if you want to. Lat time the both of you ditched me. This time I won't let the both of you go if you break your promise again!"and with that, the petite lady left while hoping it. She was a cheerful person, different than what Jisung thought she would be. In terms of similarity, she was too similar to him that he was sure he only saw her as a sister. Then, that was where a black hole started to appear.

In the end, he couldn't get a lot of answered questions from her. He couldn't even land one question to her. However, it seemed like there were some information missed even HanMi didn't know of. Jisung laughed to ridicule himself as he wiped his palms across his face, "you're not a cheater but no other than the liar yourself"

He thought many things had changed but nothing really changed after all. Hyunjin was still the annoying guy lurking around him and he was still the boy who cried the wolf--- a liar and a cowardly lonely person.

"Do I need to force myself again?", he groaned, looking at his phone. If he could, he didn't want to go through the pain of forcing himself to remember. He found out that forcing himself to remember hurt much more than the time where he accidentally remembered.

He drove back home , not to Hyunjin's hometown but back to their house and when he arrived he rushed inside, running to the other side of the house. The place where he first went to when he first woke up here and also the place that held each of their memories.

He brought all the albums to his room and spent an hour just rummaging through the pictures and gave up when he noticed, there was no picture of Juyeong at all even though HanMi told him they were friends. It was a lie after all. Why had he lied to HanMi? What was his intention of befriending Juyeong's sister when he was the one who caused Juyeong to be in her coma state? "could it be...guilt?", but that didn't sound quite right too. If he felt guilty, he shouldn't be friend with HanMi in the first place. He should be telling her the truth and not be involved with this stupid facade of trickery. He knew himself well. He wasn't someone who who run away when he was wrong. He might be cowardly but he was still righteous.

"Jisung...", Jisung snapped his head towards the voice and frowned upon seeing Hyunjin. Hyunjin walked to him, closing the door behind him and slipping off his bag from his shoulder before he sat down next to Jisung, looking at the pictures he was holding. He picked up a picture, his graduation picture with Jisung and their friends. " What are you doing?"

Jisung didn't ask how Hyunjin returned, he was only concerned over one thing. "Can I trust you?", There was it again, the unwavering gaze in Jisung's eyes that made Hyunjin's breath hitched in his throat. Hyunjin started tidying up the pictures whilst Jisung's gaze followed his every movements. " You can trust me...always Jisung ", Hyunjin said slowly after he finished putting the pictures away. He didn't bother tidying up the bunch Jisung was holding onto. "but...I feel upset about it.", Jisung raised his eyebrow, there would be times where Hyunjin would start saying things he couldn't get.

"You can trust me not hiding anything from you because I never know much about what's happening around you", Jisung swallowed his saliva. He didn't expect much from Hyunjin. He just wanted to hear that he wouldn't lie to him either but it became even more clear who the liar was between them.

"Felix came just now at my parents' house. He told me something...", He patted Jisung's head. "He told me to be patient with you.", Jisung shook his head and held both of Hyunjin's arm. "Felix came? and just to say that? Do you know he had been avoiding my phone call?! There's no way he only came to say that"

"He also came to tell me that he knew you lost your memory", Jisung balled his hand into a fist. Then, all the more reason for him to get mad. Felix knew of his condition but he continuously let him be the fool. He was sure...too sure that Felix knew the whole story. "So, he asked me to be patient with you", When Hyunjin rubbed his thumbs against Jisung's hands, he let go of his fist, breathing calmly. It was a way to tell him to calm down and his heartbeat slowly beat to the same rhythm as Hyunjin, slow when Hyunjin kept soothing him then fast again when his eyes met Hyunjin's.

Hyunjin arched forward, kissing the crown of his forehead, to his eyes to his nose and cheeks. Jisung watched every movement Hyunjin did until Hyunjin's lips landed on his chapped lips. He didn't know what to say about this, was Hyunjin taking advantage of his vulnerable state or did it just happened naturally but Jisung felt it, the electrifying feeling in his vein, the goosebumps and the slowly blurring face of Hyunjin as he shut his eyes close. Hyunjin's hands, holding his face in place, kissing Jisung softly then swiftly tilting his head as he opened his eyes to look at Jisung's flushed face. His demanding lips parting Jisung's lips apart, causing the shorter to sigh into the kiss, the tingling feeling in his stomach started going crazy again when Jisung realized, he was kissing Hyunjin back.

He was confused as he was, he couldn't believe himself that he had let this happen. He had let himself to fall. He gripped onto Hyunjin stronger than when he first hugged Hyunjin, his nail was digging into Hyunjin's skin and he had squeezed out a drop of tears from his eyes before his eyes fluttered open, looking at Hyunjin with an unwavering gaze. "I didn't betray you", he whispered shakingly and Hyunjin had paused, looking into Jisung's eyes to confirm what he heard. "I didn't cheat on you".

"You remember?", Hyunjin had also whispered and Jisung shook his head. "I don't but I'm sure I would never do that to you", He said, hands reaching for Hyunjin's neck, wrapping them around his neck, pulling Hyunjin's body closer to him. He rested his chin on Hyunjin's shoulder and started patting his back. "I hurt you a lot in the past. I won't anymore."

"I promise I won't anymore"

blah, I have a bittttt of free time today and wrote this. I'm kind of romance deprived so yeah. I was thinking of this scene to write in the middle of my physic class and that's the only thing keeping me from falling asleep during the lesson. Can you imagine seeing someone giggling by themselves in physic class? Good thing everyone was wearing a mask so, nobody noticed.
