Inspiration came in a lot of different ways, Hyunjin couldn't find a way to enhance his understanding on that.
Inspiration over what?
Over a lot of things. For his portfolio, for his interview and for Jisung. He passed two things, his portfolio and his interview. It didn't take a lot of worrying and persistent distress. He had done it once, he could do it the second time.
Jisung was another story. They passed the interview together but he couldn't find the right time to bring up the topic without startling Jisung. Unlike him, Jisung was under a lot of stress.
He might had realized that the path he took this time would be entirely (well almost entirely) different from the path he took before. He befriended different people on his first day of university. He met a lot of different lecturers he never met before.
This events baffled not only Jisung but also Hyunjin. What do you call this again? Butterfly effect. Small decision you made, changed the whole thing around.
"How do you think Seungmin is doing now?", Jisung asked, his voice a bit distorted since he had just ran from the other campus all the way to Felix's. "I don't know. Maybe he's having fun at the state", Seungmin could speak better English than any of them. They wouldn't need to worry about him. This topic was brought up only to ease the impending tension that had been growing these last few days.
Felix always choked whenever he was around these two. It was hard not to notice since the two of them were always eyeing each other. He had became an official third wheel in this group.
"Okaaaaaay", he said when Hyunjin wouldn't stop scanning Jisung. "Hyunjin, a word?", Jisung looked up from his plate curiously.
Sliding his bag from his shoulder, Hyunjin placed it next to Jisung and smiled to assure him that everything was alright. "What are you doing?", Felix asked, folding his arms as he watched Jisung trying to eavesdrop them.
In this topic, Hyunjin was truly clueless. "What am I doing?", but Felix didn't seem to favour the way he was acting innocent. "Betting your lashes in front of me doesn't work. I'm not Jisung"
"If I'm not wrong, you're almost undressing Jisung with your eyes.", There wasn't really anything wrong with what Felix said. Hyunjin was indeed looking at Jisung as if he would ravage the poor boy. Nothing wrong with that if it was mutual and they were practically husband's but not in public. Just not in public. Felix pointed his index finger out, almost poking Hyunjin in the eyes. "Don't even lie to me"
Hyunjin breathed through his nose and collected his thoughts then he pushed Felix small finger away from his face. "What do you want me to do? I had been finding a way to approach him but I always miss the chance" the younger was always so busy. It was all because if Felix's advice on trying to fix his life first before his love life.
Not to mention, Felix hadn't been able to find any peaceful place too. "How about this? Next Monday, Jisung will move into his new dorm. Maybe help him and try to talk by then?"
"And if he ask help from you too?", Felix pursed his lips, brows slightly furrowed as he suggested. "What about I say I have something to do on that day or I can just leave after I help him settling in?"
There wasn't any flaws in this plan. This could be one of those moments when Felix could give decent ideas. "So, for the time being. Stop staring at him like that.", Hyunjin rubbed his nape. Well, he couldn't really help it. His body was at the peak of his adolescence and Jisung being the perfect human being in Hyunjin's eyes definitely added up to that fact.
"What were you guys talking about?", The pair shared glances, Jisung wasn't a sharp person but he always knew if somebody was hiding something from him. He threw his hand to the air and waved it around. "Nevermind I ask that. You guys are going to help me move in, right?"
He remembered how tough it was in the past when he had to move in alone because he didn't have anybody to help him. He was quite persistent on telling Hyunjin that he was capable enough to do that. Nobody wanted to be a fool twice.
The brown haired boy plopped his chin on his hand and heaved a long exasperated sigh. "What's wrong?", Hyunjin asked, moving a strain of hair out of Jisung's face. "Nothing. I'm just stressed out because of my neighbor seems very loud"
"I can't even say anything because they're older than me.", Fiddling with the the carbonated drink, he pulled the can opener and chugged the whole thing down. Not a very smart idea. "Maybe I should buy earplugs"
Tapping on the wooden table, Hyunjin was hesitating to ask Jisung. "Maybe you can come to my room if they get noisy. We're in the same building after all..."
Jisung lit up, "I can do that?", He would be very glad of course. He can spare his times with Hyunjin and he might even be more comfortable sleeping there rather than in his room. "Yes, of course." Felix sent a thumbs up to Hyunjin. For once, he was using his brain.
"So, you're not that tactless", The younger boy joked, letting Hyunjin's hand rest on top of his head. This time it was Felix who let out a long exasperated sigh. "Are you two going to keep acting like this in front of me?"
"I didn't come to the same uni to see this", he picked up his book and bag before pootling away. Jisung hadn't know that Hyunjin regained his memory back but if he knew, it would be far worst than this. It would annoy Felix but he would be more happy to be annoyed by them. After all, he missed joking around how the enemies had become lovers.
First impression was also important. The three of them thought they could do this since they had done it before. It was a mistake to be leisure about it. Felix forgot that he had studied in Australia his whole life and he couldn't relate a lot with his Koreans classmates. Jisung found out that he was still socially awkward and Hyunjin just hadn't have the heart to face people fawning over him. It slipped his mind that Jisung hated seeing him being fawned over people when they first came to the university.
If you're new in university, it's normal to be invited by your seniors to go for a drink but it was also normal to be hazed by them like today. The seniors from dance department had called for a meeting inside an empty lecture room.
It wasn't good. It wasn't good in the slightest. He wanted to run off from the room because of how hilarious this was. He wished he were a wall that could take in everything without losing his calm whenever the senior badmouthed them.
"And you! You have anything to say to me?", How nice it would be if he had been a wall and how unfortunate of him that he could never hide his emotion well. If he hated something, it showed on his face.
"No, sir", his voice came out sounding annoyed.
"Good, you're staying back. The others go!", He didn't like where this was going. Oh, in the past this didn't happen. Just what did he do to be staying with these people here?. There were male seniors and female seniors in the room. All of them equally looked like indecent human being that liked to prey and bully others.
One of the female senior jumped off the table," You, come get a drink with us next Monday. If you don't come, you know how it's going to be"
When the seniors walked out, he rested his back against the wall. That wasn't scary. Not as scary as when the trainees back in JYP started fist fighting in front of him. "How are they even doing now?", They were probably still in middle school or some maybe still in grade school. They hadn't even know what their dream was yet.
If he didn't apply to work at JYP, what would happen? If he rejected JYP's offer, will they fight without him?
He didn't want to join JYP because he didn't want to be involved with HanMj in any way at all. Her uncle owned the place, he didn't want to be working for him yet at the same time he wondered what would the boys do without him. They will probably recruit someone else.
Now the bigger problem was the seniors. They wanted to drink with him (he was sure that wasn't actually it) on Monday but he already had a plan on Monday.
He should just make a dash out of it. Make some excuses or not care about them at all. He chose the later.
Just to make sure Jisung wasn't alone, he checked his phone and scrolled through Jisung's IG story. The brown haired boy claimed to be socially awkward but he was already befriending some people in his class. Hyunjin need not to worry about him.
The last incident when Felix told him that Jisung was crying, he did everything just to see Jisung smiling. Didn't Jisung do everything for him before? He would do that now. It was his turn.
The smile on his face wasn't an amused one when he saw the familiar car in the parking lot again today. He always made sure Jisung didn't park there. The thought of HanMi meeting with Jisung made him grit his teeth in anger.
HanMi didn't study here. He knew that well at least but so did Juyeong. He was glad that she's still alive but how did the presence changed so much?
Juyeong definitely didn't continue studying until a bit later when HanMi felt she was ready and it was definitely not in this university.
"How does she has so much time to spend with her sister? She needs to study for her last year too. She's not a genius like her sister",Hyunjin shook the thought away and strutted out from the lecture room, glaring at the parking lot.
It wasn't lunch time but he badly wanted to ditch one of his class but it wasn't a smart idea when he was a freshman. All he did in his class was too stare at the lecturer talking about the art of dance while clicking on his mechanical pencil until all the attention were shot at him.
"Is there anything wrong with what I'm teaching?", The lecturer eyed him.
"No, ma'am", he stuttered out. He hadn't seen this lecturer for ages. She was still the same naggy lady she was. Well, of course she would be the same.
"Or should I continue my class later?", It wasn't really that bad for her to do that.
"Because you're distracting my class", Hyunjin shook his head and denied he was a distraction. "You had been flipping your book for the last few minutes and the mechanical pencil of yours been bothering us."
When Hyunjin told this to Felix and Jisung, they only laughed at him. "You were the loudest thing in your class. Distraction is your middle name, Hyunjin"
He would have took that as offensive as it hadn't been Jisung who said that. Felix again, had to see how smitten Hyunjin can get whenever he's around Jisung.
Anyway, that was how his university life went for the second time. He hadn't been there for a week but he had already made some enemies. Lots of people liked him but lots of people hated him too. It had equal ratio between the two.
He needed to stay vigilant or someone might appear next to him and snap his neck from his body.
