I was woken up out my sleep by Lysa on the phone, I was bout to curse her out for being all loud but she looked at me with her eyes glossy.

"Is she okay? Please tell me she okay?" She yelled. I stood up going to brush my teeth when I walked in she was still on the phone, I walked down stairs towards the kitchen to see Mace, Isaac, CJ, Ace, JC and Tadoe eating hot wings.

"Y'all niggas grimey! Stupid hoes." I yelled taking one of JC wings knowing he was going to get the maddest, nigga eat hot wings every chance he get.

"You stupid bitch." He tried to punch me but I moved laughing. I ate the hot wing as Lys and Jaya came down but Lys was crying.

"Who the fuck took my car keys? They always right here? Where the fuck are they?!" Alyssa yelled.

"They right here sus, calm down let's go." Jaya grabbed her hand.

"Wait what's wrong? What happened? Who was on the phone?" I asked. Alyssa opened her mouth to speak but no words came out.

"Kai in the hospital." Ahjaya said.

"What the fuck we still standing here for?! Let's fucking go!" I yelled going towards the door snatching the car keys out of Ahjaya hand.

"Nah brah." JC snatched the car keys out of my hand.

"You not in the right mindset, Ahjaya you driving. Go we'll meet you there." Mason said. We all jumped in separate cars.

Me and JC made it to the hospital before anybody I just stood there waiting for Lys, once she pulled up Mace and the rest of them did. We all ran to the receptionist desk she was on the phone gossiping and shit.

"Excuse me?" Ahjaya said.

"Hold on girl these irritating ass teenagers just came in. Can I help you?"

"Can we know what room Kailani Rodriguez in?" Ahjaya asked, the lady rolled her eyes then typed something in her computer.

"Can I see ID's this is 18 and over?" I was bout to curse her out but before I could Ahjaya long leged ass jumped over the counter grabbing the lady by her neck, Alyssa walked around looking at the computer screen.

"She in room 427." Alyssa announced, that was the secluded area of the hospital. What the hell happened to Kailani?

"Thank you for your help." Ahjaya smiled releasing her hand from the lady throat as she started coughing heavy.

"You couldn't just pull out your ID?" Mace asked, Ahjaya shrugged as we all hopped onto the elevator.

When we got to Kai room the TV was on but she wasn't looking. Her hands were tied to the bed and she was just staring at the grey wall.

"Kai?" Alyssa called her name, she didn't answer but a tear rolled down her eye. "This my fault if I would of told them sooner, you would have been okay." 

"I hurt you Alyssa, I just wanted you to hate me so you won't get hurt. I would rather me in pain instead of you."

"Kailani we was going to get through it together, I would never give up on you Kai! Committing suicide was not the way to go."

"I was going to be with my dad and Charity, I was going to be okay." I started shifting.

"Who's Charity?" Alyssa asked.

I was watching Alyssa and Kailani talk, I was confused as hell as to why Kailani wanted to commit suicide. Every time I saw her she was all smiles and I noticed her boyfriend wasn't here.

Iyan shifted and tensed next to me once she said the name Charity. Who the hell is Charity? I looked at him to see his eyes glossy and now I was really confused. I only saw Ya cry like 6 times since I known him and I've known him since diapers.

"Charity was my baby girl, I had a miscarriage when I was three months." Kai admitted.

"You was pregnant? Why didn't you tell nobody Tygee got you pregnant?"

"Because..Because-"

"Because it wasn't his." Ya said walking closer to Kai letting the tears fall out his eyes. I understood why he always was a certain way around the twins or any baby. "It was true wasn't it?"

"Iyan-" Kai trailed off.

"IT WAS FUCKING TRUE WASN'T IT?!" Iyan yelled making Kai jump.

"Ya chill." JC said.

"I fucking asked you was he hitting you, I fucking offered you help so you can get out and avoid this situation, I fucking told you I would always be there for you Kailani."

"Yayo stop yelling at her." Alyssa said.

"Wait what the fuck is going on?" Isaac asked what was all on our mind.

"Ask Kailani dumb ass, maybe she'll be smart enough to tell you."

"Tygee hits me." She mumbled lowly but I think we all heard her, she finally turned around so we can see her face. She had two black eyes, busted lip, her nose was covered probably broken and her arms had all types of bruises. Shit bought tears to my eyes, Kai was like a little sister to me.

Iyan step-father used to beat up his mother every chance he got, Iyan never told nobody but JC, JJ and I. We were all under 12, so we couldn't do anything but let Iyan spend the night at our houses from time to time. One day we went to his house and we heard two gunshots go off, we all grabbed a weapon and ran to where we heard them. When we opened the door we saw it.

Iyan mother and his step father were both dead, bullet wounds to each of their heads. We all thought his step-father killed them but his mother was the one holding the gun. Iyan walked to her crying and yelling his mother name over and over then reading the letter in her hand.

Iyan moved with us after that happened and he vowed to never put his hands on a female or let anybody he know get beat or put hands on a female. I bet he was hurt because he couldn't save Kai.

"I fucking saw the signs I saw them, I tried to help you. Why the fuck didn't you let me help you Kailani? He would of never hurt you again, I wouldn't of let him Kai!"

"I'm sorry, I was embarrassed. I felt weak, I didn't know it was going to go like this." Kai cried.

"You want me to show sympathy to you? You could forget about that shit. Fuck feeling embarrassed I told you there was only one way to get out that relationship and you didn't listen because of your fucking pride? You wanna go with Charity? Well you wasn't going to be with her because you killed her!" Iyan yelled.

"Ayo Ya too far, chill out." CJ jumped in.

"Y'all could baby her but I won't. She let that nigga beat my baby out of her right Kai? Because of your fucking pride my child was killed, I have nothing to say to your stupid ass."

"I'm sorry, she was my child too! I wanted her as much as you did, probably even more."

"I CAN'T FUCKING TELL KAILANI, IT'S LIKE THE OLDER YOU GET THE STUPIDER YOU GET. Where the fuck is that girl that gave me black eyes or all those busted lips? You should of went with my daughter, stupid dumb weak ass bitch." Iyan walked out the room brushing pass Tac, G and Jen.

Jen ran to Kailani and pulled her into a hug tears falling. Nobody knew what to say or do, I didn't know whether to leave or stay.

"I'm sorry." Kailani said crying. "Iyan was right, he killed my baby and I let him. I should of left with her."

"Kailani you know you was wrong but he didn't mean that. He's speaking out of anger, give him some time."

The door opened and Iyan walked backed in the room looking at Kailani with hate in his eyes. Alyssa called his name but he ignored her coming straight for me.

"Gimme my keys brah." He demanded holding out his hand.

"Nah, I'll take you wherever you wanna go in a minute."

"Mason give me my fucking car keys before I put you to sleep."

"Guess imma just have to take a nap, good thing I like em." I said shrugging. Iyan walked closer but Tac jumped right in front of him.

"Lemme talk to you real quick blood." Tac said.

"Nah I'm good, no disrespect I don't wanna talk to nobody. Nobody can talk this anger out of me, I just want my fucking car keys." Iyan yelled as the door opened and Liv, Alli and Jayden walked in with somebody walking slowly behind them.

"Sorry I'm late I had to drop the kids off to the babysitter but look who I saw in the waiting room." Olivia smiled oblivious to what's going on, Tygee revealed his face and looked at Kai.

Iyan walked over to Tygee and punched him so hard that nobody saw it coming. Tygee fell to the ground obviously knocked out, one hitter quitter type shit.

"Wanna hit on a female like a bitch? Hit me my nigga."

Iyan kicked him straight in him face and kept kicking him and Tygee wasn't moving and Iyan didn't even care. All you saw was his timbs hitting him directly in his face, Olivia went to stop it but I quickly grabbed her. As soon as she touched him he would of blacked out and I ain't wanna have to fight brah in this hospital.

I gave JC that look as we both walked behind Iyan I touched him then ducked as he swung like I knew he was. JC grabbed his arm while I grabbed his other one.

"Iyan you are going to kill him!" Olivia yelled.

"He killed my daughter so I don't give a fuck. He don't deserve to live, neither do she but she'll get hers. Get the fuck off me damn! Acting like I'm crazy."

"Aye I know you hurt and mad and shit but we gon have some problems if you don't stop threatening my daughter fam." Tac spoke up.

"Do what you gotta do." Iyan said smirking.

"Stop. Just stop! He has a reason to feel mad, I wouldn't be here if I would of let him helped me or even let Lys help me. I need to hear this but I'm still here for a reason and I'm sorry Charity isn't, it's completely my fault." Kailani said.

"I don't give a fuck no more, get the fuck off of me." Iyan said. We let go of him and he headed to the door.

"Where you going?" Alyssa asked.

"None of your fucking business, imma be good." Iyan walked out the room making sure to kick Tygee one last time.

"He don't mean it Lys. Just give him time." JC assured her. Kailani just laid down crying to herself and this time I left the room. I went to the baby section wanting to look at all the newborns, I saw Iyan standing there looking through the window smiling.

"Thought you left." I said.

"I did, out the room." He didn't even look away from the babies. "She would have been at least 2 months by now. I would of had my daughter y'know? If she fucking told me, I could of had my daughter."

I pulled him into a hug letting him cry into my shirt not caring who was looking. This my fucking brother and he was hurting and I couldn't do shit to help. I didn't even know what to say to him to make him feel better, how do you make somebody feel better from this?

"She lost her baby too Ya, you gotta talk to her. Some of the shit you was saying was too much."

"I meant that shit Mason!"

"You was going crazy before we got here, if Kai died right now you would be hurt with your last words to her."

"You right, I'll try." We got back in the elevator going back to her room. When we walked in Tygee wasn't there no more but everybody else was and I saw that somebody released Kai hands that was tied to the side of the bed.

"Let them talk." I said.

"Mace?" JC asked.

"He good now." They looked at him, hesitantly gettkng up. "Just take your time" I told Iyan.

"I'm so confused" Olivia said to me as I closed the door.

Once the door closed I looked at her while she looked at me. I walked over to her reaching for her face, she flinched and closed her eyes. I rubbed her face looking at all her bruises, she opened her eyes.

"How long?" I asked.

"Almost a year." I got mad all over again but I saw her crying, I felt like I was looking at my mother all over again so I tried to keep calm.

"Why didn't you ever come to me Kai?"

"I felt weak and when I finally did get the courage to leave he said he would kill you, Lys and me. I couldn't live with myself if I got you or Lys hurt, y'all mean the world to me."

"So you allowed yourself to get hurt just so you can save Lys?"

"And you."

"No you was doing this for Lys cause I could handle my fucking self and you know that."

"I wasn't thinking, I'm so sorry Iyan. I didn't want Charity to die, I loved her so much and I know you did because of the way you always talked about her."

"That would of been my baby Kailani." I let the tears fall out of my eyes. She reached up and wiped my tears with the pad of her thumbs then pulled on me making me lay my head on her chest as she held me.

"I know and I'm so sorry. I was stupid but I won't be stupid ever again. I'm going to be better for our baby girl, I promise you." Kai kissed my forehead still holding on to me. She moved over letting me get on the bed with her while I laid on her chest hugging her waist still letting my tears fall.

Maybe this was the closure I needed.

But just so y'all don't get confused Kai and Tygee have been together for a little over a year and she cheated on him with Iyan and he beat her into a miscarriage once he found out. Iyan never knew that until today.
