Arriving to the hospital Alyssa sat in the waiting room curled up in a ball in the corner. She refused to even let anybody touch her, she rocked her self back and forth in a daze staring at nothing in particular.

Everybody expected Kai to take this the hardest but Alyssa defianwtly had her beat. After hearing Kailani sped through traffic hearing that her best friend and the guy she loved was shot. Instead of comforting her best friend at the worst time she sent death glares at her. Kailani heard what happened from the wrong mouth and ran with it.

On the other hand Alyssa was blaming herself, she wished it was her in Iyan spot. Ajani words was now getting to her, everything was her fault.

She shouldn't of lived.

She felt everything was her fault, for her actual mothers death, Iyan getting shot, getting kidnapped, everything was her fault right now and that's why she was taking it the hardest. She regreted Iyan for wasting his life for hers.

"None of this would have happened, if she was smart enough to listen to them." Kailani mumbled. Figuring that Kailani was talking out of anger nobody paid attention to her. 

"Alyssa you haven't stopped bleeding. Please go get checked." Tac suggested but Alyssa still just sat there staring at nothing in particular, tears dropping. Tac went to touch her and that made her head snap towards him.

"Don't fucking touch me, I hate you!" Alyssa looked into his eyes, making sure he believed every single word. Tac never heard his daughter speak to him like this, heart broken wasn't the word he felt.

Everybody watched as Alyssa spoke with so much venom, Tac backed away sighing. He didn't know what to do and he knew only one thing would make her feel better and he couldn't guarantee that.

Kai scoffed not seeing how she can hate Tac, not knowing the full story. Alyssa ignored her not wanting to argue with anybody.

"Kailani not the time." Jen said sternly.

"It is the time! My first love is back there fighting for his life when all this could of been avoided if the bitch listened to everybody! "

"Kailani watch your mouth." Alyssa spoke with no emotion.

"Or what?! What's going to fucking happen Alyssa?" Kai egged her on.

Alyssa just ignored her, she knew Kailani was hurting and they didn't need to be fighting each other, instead they should have been comforting each other. Their pain was similar even if Kai didn't want to admit it.

"Just get away from me." Kailani mushed her.

"Kailani keep your hands off of me." Alyssa warned.

"I already did!" Kailani spoke as Alyssa got up to walk away but one thing made her turn around finally giving Kailani what she wanted.

He should've let the bullet hit her.

Once Alyssa heard those six words she snapped, she punched Kai in her nose so hard people down the street could hear the cracking noise. Kailani came back punching Alyssa twice as hard in her mouth hitting her teeth as Alyssa mouth started bleeding along with Kai fist.

Kailani was taking everything she been through and put it onto Alyssa as Alyssa did the same thing. Lys clipped Kai making her fall onto her back but Kai grabbed her hair pulling her down with her. JC pulled Alyssa off of Kai and sat her down on his lap holding her fist as she shook and mumbled lowly under her breath. Tac held Kai as paced back and forth still upset.

"Never know when to fucking stop popping them gums." Jen said mugging her daughter. "Kailani, this wasn't the fucking time!"

"You good Kai?" Olivia asked pulling her into another room. She couldn't believe they just fought like they were random bitches on the street instead of best friends.

"Family of Iyan Dawson?" Everyone all stood up and the doctor look shocked then cleared his throat, going through his files getting the x-rays.

"Removing the bullet that was piercing his heart was a success but he still had an faint pulse. I'm sorry to inform you but Iyan passed at 5:27 p.m."

"Dr.Ramirez it has to be a mistake please tell me my little brother is in the back healing and told you to pull this prank. Tell him this isn't funny." Dawson laughed, his heart breaking. Iyan was the only family he had left besides the gang.

"I send my deepest condolences." Dr.Ramirez shook his head leaving them to react to the news. Dawson flipped over the wooden table and kicked some chairs mumbling his brothers name.

Olivia held Mason in her arms while he yelled out like somebody was killing him, she dropped tears but she knew his hurt was worst than his. JJ punched two holes in the hospital walls making bypassers jump and worry.

JC clenched and unclenched his fist, he never knew how to take death so he would rather be strong for everybody. Kailani cried as the knife in her heart twisted breaking it to a million pieces, she was stuck. She didn't know what to do, what was there to do?

Nobody paid attention to Alyssa while trying to handle their own pain. She got up to go see his body one last time but taking slow steps out the waiting room her breathing slowed.

Trying to breathe out her mouth then her nose didn't work, she felt like she was getting suffocated. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she dropped on to the hospital floors making a thumping sound, her head banging against the floor.

A nurse saw and hurriedly rushed to see what was wrong. Feeling around to see if anything was wrong she could see a open wound with blood dripping out her arm, the back of her head where she fell was bleeding but the thing that scared was that she didn't feel a pulse.

"Crash cart! Somebody get a crash cart!" The young nurse yelled getting Tac attention out of everybody, he was about to turn minding his business until he saw the blonde curly hair. 

"ALYSSA!" Tac yelled, through the tears everybody managed to see what he was talking bout. The little bit of heart they had broke again seeing her look so helpless. They all ran over there to check on her but the doctor pushed them away taking her to her own room without saying words to her family.

"I did you wrooong boy." I yelled singing.

"I did you wroooong girl." Iyan yelled singing.

"But we gotta stick it out and work it and stick it out and work it out." We yelled loud as hell in sync.

"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Ahjaya yelled throwing a pillow at both of us.

"Don't nobody wanna see you happy, always tryna take your joy away." Iyan said as I laughed.

"Y'all mad corny." Ahjaya laughed.

"Don't worry Yayo, she mad salty cause Isaac.."

"DID HER WRONGGG!" We sung laughing as she glared at us.

"Bye Craig and Day Day. Fucking goofies." She mumbled under her breath getting up as we laughed harder.

"Give me my damn necklace back!" I yelled.

"Why should I?" Iyan said.

"Cause it's mine and it mean something to me." I started to cry.

"Man watch out." He pushed passed me.

"Good job Alyssa and Iyan." Dawson yelled. We was acting for these stupid ass kids in summer school for him since most of the teachers were protesting for something.

"Man I could've did better than that." A fat boy yelled. Iyan jumped off the stage and glared at him.

"I'll fuck your turkey neck long back crunched dick ass up." Iyan said pointing at him, I started rolling.

"I ain't scared pussy." The boy stood up and Iyan walked towards him with his fist balled up and once I finally calmed down from laughing I stopped him.

"Yayo that's a little ass boy." I laughed again.

"He bout to get this grown ass whooping." He pointed at the kid again bucking at him.

"Well that's our que bye folks." I laughed some more. He could never control his temper.

"Sis move away for a year and forgot how niggas look huh?" I heard as I walked passed a boy with a familiar tone. I looked at him and put my big kool-aid smile on.

"Iyannn! I missed you!" I smiled jumping on him wrapping my legs around his waist.

"Fuck off me with this little ass dress on. Here put this around you, these pussy ass niggas looking at your ass and shit." I rolled my eyes as I took his jean jacket tying it around my waist.

"Yes father. But anybody else here with you?"

"Nah only me, I came down to meet your sexy ass roommate." He licked his lips as we started walking to me and Ahjaya apartment.

"You ain't cute." I smirked. He just laughed as we talked some more, Iyan always came down to visit me knowing I didn't want to step foot in Georgia.

"Aye I'm so fucking turnt!!" Iyan yelled through the music in my ear. We were at a campus party and I didn't know what the hell he drunk cause I done had like 5 drinks and I was only buzzed.

"You so fucking drunk boozy." He started laughing.

"Yo when I die make sure it's a whole bunch of bad bitches with fat asses at my shit. Don't mourn my death, celebrate that shit cause imma be fucking all the big booty bitches in heaven having the time of my life." He slurred with his eyes closed.

"Nigga you know damn well you ain't going to heaven."

"But God blessing all the trap niggas." He said smuggly. I glared at him as he looked at me and we both fell into laughter.

"Oh shit this my shit. Cuz I'm on wipe me down. Ayeeeeee Shoulders, chest, pants, shoes. C'mon Lys." He pulled me onto the dance floor where we danced waiting for our favorite part to come on.

"B O O S I E B A D A Z Z!" I yelled since Iyan couldn't spell.

"DATS ME! Red bones caramel tryna steal my underwear." Iyan yelled dabbing. We was dancing on each other downing drink after drink. 

"Shoulders, chest, pants, shoes." I panted whispering.

"Fuck you whispering for? Yell that shit." He yelled in my ear.

"SHOULDERS, CHEST, PANTS, SHOES." We both yelled louder to the song, I sipped my cup. Imma miss him when he leave me to go home.

I woke up crying once again, ever since I heard those dreadful words I've been having these dreams of all the memories we had. It has been a full three days and ever since then I haven't talk to nobody. I turned my phone off not wanting to be bothered.

"Good morning Ms.King." Nurse Jackie said walking in with Dr.Ramirez.

I was still in the hospital and even though everybody tried to come check on me I denied everybody making sure nobody was on my visiting list.

"Ms.King I need you to eat or at least walk around a little, we don't want you to have a another episode."

When I didn't say anything Dr. Ramirez sighed, I don't know why he didn't give up already. Everyday I been in here all I did was sleep, cry or use the bathroom.

I was passed depressed and I just wanted everything to be over. I thought about just ending everything but Yayo saved me for a reason and I wasn't going to let both of our lives be thrown away.

"Ms.King if you aren't going to do it for yourself please do it for your unborn. He or she didn't choose to be here, if you keep this up you will miscarry."

Oh yeah when I had an 'episode' as they call it they took blood to find out I was 7 weeks pregnant and I knew the father was JC but I didn't want nobody to find that out yet.

I looked down at my little stomach that just looked like I ate and sighed, I sat up and took the nasty hospital food. He smiled at me and watched me eat everything.

"This is progress Alyssa, I think you should see a visitor." I quickly shook my head.

"I'm not ready to tell anyone I'm pregnant."

"Okay I won't tell, I'll let you do that yourself but please talk to JC, he has been here for two days straight." I slightly smiled nodding as he went to get JC.

Jayceon Whitaker | JC😌

"She's ready to see you, we finally got her eating after three days, please be sensitive with topics." Dr.Ramirez warned, I nodded understanding as he led me to her room.

She was eating a pudding staring at nothing in particular, her hair was matted down with a bandage in the back of her head, also another bandage on her forearm where she got shot at, her face was so puffy and her eyes was bloodshot red. She probably felt as bad as she looked but even through all this she was still beautiful.

I walked to her getting her attention, I pulled her into a bonecrushing hug. Surprisingly she hugged me back and I felt my chest a little wet letting me know she was crying.

"Hey hey what's wrong baby?" I wiped her tears with the pad of my thumbs.

"Nothing went right." She mumbled, I sighed knowing what she was talking bout.

"I know baby." I rubbed her back leaning my chin on her head.

I sat with her for around 20 minutes having conversation, she smiled at least five times during it. It wasn't her normal smile where her eyes got chinky but it was a start.

"Come take a walk Lys." I said. She nodded and I grabbed her hand.

"How's everybody?" She asked looking down at the ugly slippers the hospital gave her.

"They been going through it but we've all been there for each other. You gotta let us be there for you too Lysa." I stopped walking facing her.

"I can't JC!" She semi-yelled.

"What do you mean you can't?"

"I can't get through this! Every time I close my eyes I see his bloody body, every time I dream I see him at parties, in my room, jumping on my bed at 8 in the morning because he know it will piss me off, coming in the house drunk then sleeping in my room because I'm always scared he's going to do something when he's drunk. I know you met him in 1st grade and that's more of your brother than mine but I had a bond with him. We were different from Mace or Kai or anybody. My best friend died in my fucking arms JC, y'all can not help me get over that." She yelled tears coming out her eyes.

I couldn't say anything but I could do something to get her out of this funky mood. I raised my hand making the signal.

"Damn Lys can't a dead man sleep in peace? And ew I could see your panties through your hospital gown." I watched her eyes get more glossy if even possible. She slowly turned around as her eyes went wide.

"Yayo?" She said shaking.

"The one and only baby."
