Three days have passed of me staying in the house doing absolutely nothing. Tygee wouldn't let me go anywhere and when he went to work he got some people to watch me to make sure I didn't go no where.

I couldn't call anybody and nobody could contact me. I didn't want to be like this no more, I didn't want to shut people out. Tears rolled down my eyes as I was thinking about what I was going to do.

I heard a knock on the door I ignored it knowing it was Tygee, he should have remembered his keys he always do this. The door bell and banging was giving me a headache so I swung the door open with a attitude.

"Tygee you forget your- Lys what are you doing here?" I asked shocked, I didn't have any makeup on so my bruises was on display. I know I looked bad.

"I was worried, you can't just go M.I.A without telling nobody." She pushed her self in the house, I closed the door trying to stay in the dark so she wouldn't see my face.

"I'm sorry my phone is broke." Lys looked at me then scrunched her face up.

"What the hell Kailani?!" She yelled coming closer to me.

"Why are you yelling ?"

"Why the fuck is all these bruises on your face? Who the fuck hit you?" My heart started beating trying to make up an excuse.

"A few days ago I got jumped and I didn't want nobody to know." Lys looked straight at me.

"Bull shit! Now tell me the fucking truth Kailani! Is Tygee hitting you?" She yelled every word.

"No Alyssa I'm not lying!" I acted frustrated.

"You can't even look me in my fucking eyes Kailani, go get your shit right now!"

"Lys I'm not going no where, he doesn't hit me why can't you and Iyan get it in your head I don't need help? I'm fucking 21 years old I don't need protecting."

"Why are you acting so fucking dumb? The fucking man beats you Kailani! Look at your fucking face, do you see your fucking eye? You look like a fucking crackhead Kailani go get your fucking clothes before I fuck you up."

"Alyssa your blowing things way out of proportion we have a few fights but who don't? You know I have a smart mouth and a hand problem, it's not his fault."

"Who the fuck are you right now? I been your fucking best friend for damn near 15 years and you really tryna put on this act? I'm going to pack your stuff then you are going to get in my fucking car and your never going to look back."

She looked at me one last time with a face full of disgust, marching up the stairs as I followed behind her. I couldn't let her do this, I needed her to leave me alone.

"Lys stop! You have to fucking stop! This is what you do, you fucking take everything from me. When are you going to let me have anything?" I said, she stopped looking at me.

"What have I ever took from you?!" Tears dropped out my eyes because I knew what was about to come out my mouth was going to hurt us both but I needed her to hate me so bad.

"Everything! My life, my boyfriend, my dad especially my mother! Can I fucking have my relationship without you taking it?" I yelled.

"What the hell are you talking about Kailani?"

"My mother couldn't replace yours! Your mother decided to leave you, I couldn't do anything about that so you just had to take mine! Couldn't I at least keep my fucking mother?" Alyssa eyes got watery and I saw the hurt in her eyes, I couldn't take it no more so I avoided looking in her face.

"Kailani are you serious right now?" Her voice was cracking so I knew she was crying and I just wanted to hug my best friend but I was doing this for the both of us.

"I'm so serious Alyssa! I felt bad for you, a little girl who could never go to her mother for advice, you were never going to see her again."

"Kailani stop fucking talking! You knew my mother you cried with me when she passed, stop fucking talking! This isn't you right now."

"But it is Alyssa! I want you to leave and never come back. I don't want you to be here Alyssa. I have everything I need here, just leave."

Finally looking up to see her face was covered with tears and I knew mine was too, she was still looking at me then she grabbed a bag stuffing clothes in it.

"Kailani this isn't you talking! We are leaving."

"Damn Lys why can't you fucking listen? You can't help someone that don't want it, stop trying to be my guardian angel I don't want you to be."

She ignored me and kept packing, I went over to her snatching the bag from her as she tried to get it back out my hand. I swung hitting her directly in her face, she looked taken back. Alyssa and I have never fought out of the 15 years of knowing each other, plenty of arguments but it never got physical.

Nobody wouldn't even know who would win because Tac and Isaac taught us both how to fight. We don't pull hair or grab we aim straight for faces, we fight to hurt and I know once Lys get into that mood she will leave. This is the only way she will leave if I fight her.

"Kailani imma let you get away with that one. Don't do that-"

I cut her off by punching her in her mouth this time she didn't stop, her reflexes automatically kicked in and she sent a hard blow to my nose. That began our fight and ended our friendship.

I followed up by hitting her twice and we both was sending hard blows. I couldn't keep up with her hits, she was fast and hit harder than I remembered. I felt her get me on the ground and she stopped hitting me.

"Kailani stop! I don't want to do this, just stop!" I didn't listen grabbing her leg making her fall as I got on top of her giving her blows straight to her face. She flipped it and started choking me still sending her fist straight into my face, I knew my eye was definitely shut now.

I felt Lys get lifted off of me and I looked up to see Tygee holding Lys trying to get to me. I stood up while Tygee made eye contact with me, I guess Lys finally caught on to who was holding on to her and she turned around getting out of his grip.

"You fucking beating on my sister? Making her look fucking weak and stupid! How could you say you fucking love her and smash her face in? Do you see her fucking face?!" Alyssa yelled.

"Lys I told you he doesn't hit me! I got jumped Alyssa!"

"Shut the hell up! Kailani stop being so damn stupid. You get out, I don't want you around my sister anymore! Don't come back around."

"That's not your decision. Kailani doesn't want me to leave, do you princess?" He looked me directly in my eyes daring me to say no.

"No baby." I said smiling.

"Wow." Alyssa said shaking her head.

"Alyssa look-"

"I don't want to hear it Kailani, imma give you one more chance. Me or him?"

"Him." I put my head down as tears came out my eyes.

"15 years wasted over a dirty no good uneducated bum ass nigga that beats you? Thought I knew you better than that."

"Bitch you heard her, bye. Me and mines good." Tygee said

"It's mine dumb ass illiterate nigga, Kai why are you still protecting him? I won't let him hurt you while I'm right here. Please Kai."

"Just go Alyssa, please." I looked her in her eyes, it looked like her heart just broke. She slowly nodded then headed towards the door.

"Expect a visit from Tac." She said looking at Tygee stomping down the stairs.

"I love you baby. You know that right?" Tygee said as soon as the front door slammed. I nodded my head slowly putting on a fake smile.

"Yes I know, I love you too." He walked over to me and put up his hand and I automatically flinched and put my hand up to defend myself.

"I'm not going to hit you baby, that was the last time. I'm sorry Kai, I'm so sorry I love you so much." He moved the hair out of my face and kissed both of my swollen eyes then my forehead then my lips.

"Go get cleaned up baby, I'll cook for you tonight." I nodded as he left out the room. I went in the bathroom and broke down letting all my tears out.

I couldn't blame anyone but myself, not Lys, not Tygee, not Iyan just me. I should of been out the relationship the first time he hit me but I couldn't give up on him and now look what I'm doing.

Giving up on myself.

I took the cap off the bottle of painkillers and the other bottle of sleeping pills. I forced all of the pills down my throat then the water next, I sat down on the bathroom floor instantly feeling light headed.

I just want Lys to know I will love her forever and ever but I needed her to hate me so he won't hurt her. I would take all the pain before I let her get hurt because of me, I love her too much. I felt dizzy as everything blacked out.

I just hoped she understands.

I walked into the house slamming my bag down going straight for the kitchen, I needed an ice pack. I already knew I looked horrible and I prayed that nobody was here.

"Lys what happened?" Ace asked. Of course my prayers wasn't answered. I looked back to see all the NOLS, Isaac, CJ, and Ahjaya coming into the kitchen.

"Damn do y'all know what y'all house look like? What's the point of having a big ass house if y'all not gon never be in them?" I yelled aggravated.

"What the hell happened to you?" Isaac yelled getting in my face.

"I would beat the shit out of you if you don't back the fuck up!" I yelled dropping my ice pack on the counter.

He came closer and I took that as a challenge. I kicked him where the sun don't shine then punched his stupid ass in his mouth. I wasn't even mad at Isaac I was very much mad at the situation with Kai but I was going to take it out on whoever.

"I'm bouta fuck you up Alyssa." He groaned as he was still bent over clutching his man hood. Before I could say anything he punched me in my face making my nose bleed. Ahjaya hooked Isaac right after.

"Chill fam." Tadoe said to her as he held her back. Isaac stormed out the room.

"I think he broke my nose." I said holding it. CJ grabbed a napkin cleaning my face examining my nose.

"Nah just bruised, now what happened?" CJ said wrapping the ice pack in a napkin. Isaac came back in the kitchen with a slight limp.

"My bad I ain't mean that but you are going to tell me what happened."

"Kailani." I said.

"You and Kailani fought?" Yayo asked.

"Damn I always wanted to see that shit." Mason mumbled.

"What happened?" CJ asked.

"Petty argument that went too far."

"You and Kai have never fought since y'all met each other, this got to be more than a petty argument." Isaac said.

"She said something about how I'm always taking something from her like G, she said G couldn't replace my mother." I said leaving out the major details, I wanted to tell Tac before I told them.

"She went too far but I'm pretty sure y'all will be talking in a few days." CJ said, little does he know..

"By looking at your face, I wanna see hers." Mason said. The right side of my face was swollen and my lip busted.

"Her face is definitely worst." I mumbled going to take a nap.

I woke up to my phone ringing, it wasn't dark anymore letting me know I slept the day away. I looked around the room to see Iyan laying next to me and Ahjaya at the foot of the bed. I checked the time on my phone before answering the unknown number it was 11:25 a.m.

"Hello?" I answered my voice raspy.

"Hi is this... Alyssa King?" A female asked. I sat up straight waking up Iyan as he looked at me confused.

"Y-yes this is her, who's speaking?" I asked studdering.

"This is DeKalb County Hospital we have a Kailani Rodriguez here and you was second in her emergency contact form and we couldn't reach her guardian Jennifer Rodriguez."

"Is she okay? Please tell me she's okay!" I basically yelled tears in my eyes.

"Kailani....."

Thought I would update since my spring break just started. A whole 10 days without school, this is heaven on earth.
