"Hi I'm tweety," I said with a wave before I let a dejected breath out. "No, no," I scolded myself, to preppy.

"Hi I'm tweety," I said in a more tough tone, I let a groan out before a laugh interrupted me.

"Are you talking to the mirror again char?" Dick said leaning again my door.

"No I'm practicing my introduction to when I meet people today," I said sassily while I threw my hair up into a high pony tail the curls puffing out. Grabbing a black ribbon I wrapped it around the top so you couldn't see the rubber band before typing a small bow.

Today was the day.

Ok scratch that I thought last week was the day when we were introduced to the league but all that happened was a general snubbing. Of course we ended up blowing it out of proportion and made some drastic decisions but hey we found Super Boy. Cadmus collapsing was just collateral damage.

But today was actually the day!

"Why are you so excited to see the cave? You've been there before," he teased with a grin.

"Maybe I'm just excited to see super boy," u said sassily oblivious to the jealous look he sent to the back of my head. I was actually just excited to meet the new team member but I wasn't going to tell him that.

"So you like him?" The edge to his voice flew over my head as I giggled.

"He is cute isn't he," I said shyly looking at Dick.

"Ya if your into the over muscled jock type I guess," Dick grumbled while I clicked my tongue. "Plus I think your a little to old for him, cradle robbing char really," slapping his arm as I walked by I laughed.

"I'm joking Dick, SB is cute but not my type,"he looked slightly relieved but I couldn't tell why as I walked through the manner to go change into my suit.

Skipping down the stairs I heard Dick follow me. As we walked through the kitchen I grabbed a granola bar before touching the old clock making it open.

"So if he's not your type then what is," Dick questioned as we walked down the stairs.

"Charlie doesn't have a type because she will never date, not on my watch," bruce said not looking up from the computer dressed in his suit.

"Dad," I groaned with a pout while Dick tried to stifle a laugh from behind me.

"My little girl doesn't need another man in her life, you've got me," he said swiveling around in his chair before standing.

Grabbing my suit I rolled my eyes before going to change. The suit was all black with a gold utility belt, I put my mask on that actually showed my eyes rather then a white film. My eyes were a weapon in their own, my fathers words not my own. A bird insignia was on the chest of my suit that completed the look. Many questioned why I was the only member of the bat clan with out a cape and my reason was that capes just got in my way. Between my long hair already messing around, and a super scream that whipped everything in a thirty foot distance around a cape was just a bad idea for me.

"So you said Martian Man Hunter has a niece?" My head snapped up when I heard Dick say this to Bruce.

"Niece? You mean there's going to be another girl on the team!" I squealed pumping my fist. "Thank you," I groaned out in joy. "I don't know if I can handle another mission with four boys, the testosterone is literally polluting my air supply," I defended putting my hands up. They rolled their eyes as I skipped towards them where they waited for me at the zeta tubes.

We were transported to the cave where we walked in greeted by Aqua lad and Superboy.

Ok so I was lying when I said Superboy wasn't my type, I mean look at the guy! Sadly I was at this point completely in love with one Dick Greyson and anyone else was just second best.

"Good Morning!" I shouted through the cave with a large grin. Aqua lad gave me a small wave while I watched Superboys lip slightly twitch in to a smile before it disappeared.

"How has your stay at the cave been?" I questioned them both seeing how Aqualad had yet to go back to Atlantis.

"Fine thank you," Aqualad always so polite. Turning my gaze on Superboy I watched him shrug making me pout.

"Aw come on Superboy the brooding attitude is Batman's thing," I joked getting a small smile from him this time making me do an inner victory dance. I looked to see Robin holding in a laugh as Bruce gave me a look that I brushed off with my most charming smile.

The zeta beam soon announced Kid flash and Flashes arrival as they both zipped in.

"As usual we are the last ones," Wally groaned at his uncle who shrugged walking past me he messed with my hair making me slap his hands away with a glare.

"I spent time on this," I said running a hand through my pony tail before flipping it back over my shoulder. He only laughed before going to stand next to Batman.

Finally after another ten minutes of waiting Martian Man hunter was announced along with a guest. Watching him float in I saw a girl follow shyly behind him for a moment.

"Team meet your new member Miss Martian," Batman introduced. Before I even had a chance to step forward KF and Robin had blown past me to introduce them selves. Aqualad at a much slower pace was by their side soon after. I was about to join them when I saw the look on Superboys face.

"Come on, you can make a new friend," I joked to which he just crossed his arms.
"Oh don't be a sourpuss," I stated grabbing his arm attempting to pull him over to them. An actual smile came to his face as I struggled to move the indestructible boy.

"Hellooo," Wally drowned out, "I'm kid flash, that's Robin, Aqualad, it's ok if you forget their names," Wally said with a shrug as he gave her a flirtatious smile.

"Tweety, Superboy come on," I heard Robin say a certain undertone in his voice made me furrow my brow and release my hold on Superboys arm. It sounded almost jealous but my subconscious was probably just making it sound like that to make me feel better.

Skipping over I glanced over my shoulder to make sure Superboy was still following me. Once we were standing closer Robin pointed at SB.

"That's Superboy, he can be a bit...quiet," he chose his words precisely but he still got a glare from the boy of steel.

"I like your shirt," she said morphing her clothes slightly so her shirt was now black like Sups.

"Hi! I'm tweety!" I said with a grin reaching out to hug Miss M. She looked slightly shocked but hugged me back tightly. Pulling away I saw she now had a matching smile. "I'm so happy there is going to be another girl here, I'm sure we're going to be best friends, probably like sisters," I said hopefully.

"I've always wanted an earth sister," she said with joy practically vibrating with happiness.

After that the boys were basically forgotten as Miss M and I chatted away.

"We have a meeting at the watch tower so we will be back in a few hours, don't leave, and behave," Batman said roughly before giving me a look when he said behave.

"What, I am an angel," I said with a sinful looking smile to contradict my statement. He shock his head and walked out along with the rest of the adults. After a while we had all migrated to the kitchen where we were attempting to find the ingredients to make cookies.

"So what can I call you other then Miss Martian," I questioned as I pulled eggs out of the fridge placing them on the counter.

"Hello Megan," she said slapping her forehead making me raise a brow but ignore it none the less. "My names M'gan Moores,"

"Mines Wally, see already trust you with my secret identity," Wally said stealing once of the chocolate chips from the bag we found making me glare at him as he sheepishly ducked his head.

"You can call me Kaldur," Aqualad said from his seat at the kitchen table where he and Robin were playing chess.

"What about you guys," M'gan said looking at Robin and I.

"Daddy bats won't let them tell you, super secret ninja stuff I guess," I flicked him in the ear when I walked by.

"So are you and Superboy like a couple," Miss M said softly next to me making me drop the egg that I was about to crack. It landed with a splat on the ground. We both bent down immediately and started to clean the mess.

"You ok birdy?" Dick said using the familiar inderment that always made my heart flutter and a blush cover my cheeks when he'd use it.

"Yep, just slipped," I said nervously before turning back to M'gan who had a look on her face. "No," I said hurriedly shaking my head. "We are not," I stated quietly so only she heard. I glanced back at Dick who was staring intently at me, he flashed me a smile when I looked at him before turning back to his conversation with the rest of the boys.

"Hm, I see. I think I've seen this in a earth tv show before where the girl is in love with her best friend but she's to scared to say anything," I gawked at her and sputtered out a no.

"N-no!" I whispered yelled. "We're just best friends, that's it," she gave me a look before shrugging.

"Ok what ever you say...birdy," she winked at the end making me bump my hip with hers but laughed anyways.

The whole team spent the next few hours bonding over slightly burnt cookies and easy conversation. The Leaguers came back from there meeting as we all said out good byes.

Once back at the bat cave I changed back into my civvys and made my way back up to the manor.

"Wanna go eat junk food and make fun of action movies," Dick said walking next to me into the kitchen. Pulling my head out of the fridge I produced a tub of ice cream.

"Already one step ahead of you," smiling he grabbed the spoons and we plopped down onto the couch in the living room settling in for the next few hours.

After the third movie I found myself dozing slightly my head lulling onto Dicks shoulder. Suddenly I was not on the couch and air was flowing around me. I cracked my eyes open a bit to see Dick was lifting me up off the couch and carried me up the stairs. I was placed on my bed before he leaned over and kissed my forehead.

"Night birdy, I love you,"
