I'm doing this with my pals Silmarilz1701 and jcdwriter and they said to start with an introduction to my story. So okay. Six years ago I wrote some small stories here and there about a partisan group in Poland in the mid 1940s, when Polish people were caught between the crossfire of Nazis and Soviets, the country on the edge of transferring from the Nazi occupation to a Soviet satellite state.

From these small stories, two characters stuck with me, Gio and Daniel. Each the other's opposite. And I knew one day I would rewrite their world and make it all about them, because somehow they never left my heart, even as I transitioned to focus on the Dravens and their realm for years.

I've dabbled in writing about Gio and Daniel for a year, and I'm happy to say I'm back for real now. I've missed these boys enough to make them my NaNo project.

I have a lot to do and a lot of culture and history to research so this book will help me stay on track.
