Part Three - Answers
Warning - a little gore is in this chapter
*****
Hail felt sick. She felt angry, felt betrayed. Why would they send her here to collect something they could easily grab from here? To put her all through that. The higher up's have teleportation necklaces...Hail couldn't even begin to understand what was going on. But she was angry.
With all her strength, she twisted and slammed her heel into the pass code panel, shorting it out, and the blue light that's above the door switched to blinking red. She grabbed the doors by the crevasse between them, and with a long groan, Hail pryed the doors open.
The whole room was blinking red from the lights in the room. Hail took in the room with her pale lavender eyes. It was much smaller compared to the dome room. There was desks and paperwork stacked everywhere, a coffee maker, and a small fridge. A teleporter was in the back of the room. The walls and ceiling were plain smooth stone. There was camera screens everywhere, monotoring what Hail recognized as where the smoke being was and many halls, including the door she just pryed open. The only thing Hail was interested in was the two males in white lab coats frozen in surprise.
"Th-that was mitral steel! How the hell did you get in?!" One stuttered in fear, pushing his hand through his matted brown hair.
Hail stood there, not really listening. Her face was twisted in disbelief. She walked towards them, poison weapons appeared hovering above her upturned palms.
The one that didn't speak was backing up, casting fearful side glances at Hail and looking at a button near the back of the room. This man's hair was dirty blonde and he had glasses.
Hail tipped her head to the left, then launched herself at the guy. The brown haired one that spoke made the mistake of getting in Hail's way. She made the poison incase her hand, ignoring the horrible pain and dizziness that came from the action, and her arm went through his heart like a knife through Jell-o. She pulled her now blood soaked arm from the man's convulsing body without hesitation, and continued on her way to the man stumbling away from her, to the red button on the wall.
The man slammed against the wall by the speed that he was running. Just as he pushed the button, Hail's hand cut his arm off by the shoulder. The man cried out in pain, turning quickly and shoving Hail away with feeble strength. He slid down, his back against the wall and his remaining arm trying to stop the bleeding and his face scrunched in agony. An alarm blared in Hail's ears, but she payed no mind.
Hail felt no pity.
"I deserve answers...don't you think~?"
The man had ragged breathing, and his face was rapidly turning pale.
Hail kicked him in the side, yelling, "answer me!"
The man grunted, but gave Hail a shaky sly smile.
"All hail the higher up's."
The man relaxed after his last breath, tipping over and landing with a soft thud. Hail turned to scan the room. Blood surrounded the two new bodies, but all of the papers were untouched by the red liquid.
Hail sighed. She wanted answers, she'll get the answers from the stacks of paper. Hail wiped the blood from her arm using a clean section from the dead mans coat. After making sure the alarm went silent, she sat down at one of the chairs. She hated reading so much, but started to speed read.
