Chapter 1

Chapter 1

●●●

Jimin was a bit on the timid side. Not really, but somewhat. At least enough that the fact that he'd finally managed to ask out his so called 'crush' was quite the achievement to him. It was nothing special. He'd just suggested getting some tea in the nearby Starbucks, since he didn't know any other cafes, just to get to know the guy.

As sad as it may be. Jimin had been pretty prepared to be rejected. After all he'd hardly ever talked to the guy, always sat in the back of the class and was just quiet overall. It would have been surprising if he even knew his face. Especially since the guy, the infamous Kim Taehyung, was one of 'those' guys. Someone everybody knew or had at least heard of.

He did a lot of charity work. The teachers loved him because he was uncomplicated and handed in his assignments on time, the students loved him because he was always willing to share his knowledge of school related stuff that others might not have understood. Not that he was good at everything, but he at least tried to help where he could. He was polite towards everyone, even people that made Jimin's skin crawl. It was almost impossible not to like him.

At this point Jimin was convinced that either Taehyung had to have some sort of dark secret or he was a fucking angel hiding in a human body.

Now, with all that information, the fact that Taehyung knew his name came as quite the surprise, but what came as even more of a surprise was that he actually took Jimin up on his offer. Jimin had expected to be rejected. In probably the sweetest and most well natured manner possible, to the point where he might not even have felt dejected by it, but nevertheless rejected. That expected rejection never came.

When Taehyung said 'sure', Jimin was already halfway about to say that it was okay and that he just wanted to ask, when he realized that Taehyung had not said no. Admittedly not having taken into consideration that that might have been a possible outcome, Jimin had no idea what to say afterwards.

He just spluttered something about being grateful, which he regretted quite a bit afterwards, because who the fuck is grateful that someone says yes to hanging out, but he actually did have the brains to ask for Taehyung's number so they could meet up.

Not even ten minutes later, Jimin was back on his seat and simply stared at the new contact in his phone. It took about another two hours for him to convince himself that he really wasn't going to wake up any second and realize that it wasn't real after all.

So now Jimin was on his way home to quickly change clothes before picking Taehyung up, who had sent him an address the day before. He was staring at his phone again. Taehyung had sent him another message. Kim fucking Taehyung, who now had his number, had sent him a message and it wasn't just that it. It wasn't a normal message. No 'hey let's meet there.' 'Sorry, am running a bit late'.

It was one sentence. One sentence that made Jimin's heart flutter in his chest. He knew he was being overdramatic. He hardly knew Taehyung in person. He'd just gotten to know Taehyung through watching him in class. Taehyung was exactly what Jimin liked in a person. A bit unique, but not in a forced way, well natured and just so energetic and enthusiastic. Of course he was hot too, but that actually wasn't the reason Jimin had noticed him.

It was the fact that Taehyung was sweet to everyone, didn't judge someone based on their looks and was so open to everything.

Now to the part where Jimin was being overdramatic. He was so in love... and yeah blah blah you can't love someone you don't know. He was working on that alright?

His eyes fell back on the messages and blood rushed to his face.

Taehyung
Looking forward to our date<3

He contemplated what to text. He didn't want to sound like a teenager, but he felt like squealing right now.

Jimin
Me too:)

God he was awkward. Who even used those smileys anymore?

Taehyung
Contemplating what to wear rn

Taehyung
You more into sexy or moderate outfits?

Jimin choked on his own spit before coughing a couple of times. When he quickly checked his surroundings for any witnesses of him almost dying from nothing, he made eye contact with very familiar black ones. So deep that he felt like they were deep black holes and there was actually nothing apart from black inside of them.

Anxiety built up inside of Jimin. Jeon Jungkook. Jimin hadn't really seen him in person that many times. Just his back sometimes when he entered college and the inked boy stood in front of the building, talking to some of his friends that looked even scarier than him, and smoked.

Even so Jimin had heard quite a couple of rumors, ranking from him having beaten some kids up who had dared to pick a fight with him, to him being part of a gang or even mafia in the area, even further straying to him actually being a demon that sucks the soul out of his victims by staring at them long enough.

If he was being honest, Jimin knew people talked a lot and he didn't like judging people based on their appearance, but Jimin was rather safe than sorry. He had no intention of befriending someone who probably spent most of his day drunk at bars or smoking weed in empty parking lots. That wasn't Jimin's usual crowd. Not that he really had many friends here yet, he'd just moved here recently and aside from Hoseok, who he shared a dance class with, he hardly knew anyone.

So the Jeon Jungkook stood there, a cig clamped between his lips, hoodie pulled over his head, leaning against the wall, black ripped jeans with chains over the rips, which would have looked pretty attractive if it weren't for the glare he sent Jimin's way. Something cold ran down Jimin's spine and he quickly averted his eyes and forced himself to keep going forwards. He had to pass Jungkook to get off campus or he could take a much longer way, but that seemed kind of ridiculous even to him.

He was pretty sure Jungkook wouldn't go around beating up people just because. He probably had his reasons for the things he did, if he had actually done them, Jimin wasn't going to judge, but he also wasn't going to stop and talk to the boy.

When he finally was through the gate and on the sidewalk he let out a silent sigh of relief. See, that hadn't been all that bad. Now he was looking forward to his date. Fucking god, it was a date. Taehyung had recognized it was a date.
