Tank
Meanwhile, the larger group of survivors, containing the secret operative from inside Geneticorp, the current Chief of the Tun-Si tribe, the two sisters that feared their father and Paleonlogist Everett Carter. This group wasn't coincidental as Samuel and Yvelisse had been partners in a journey way before. Everett assisted the girls in escaping from a sketchy dinosaur facility on the mainland. What is mostly fate and destiny, even strange, is that they both survived through the same course of events, during the very same span of days, while living their own adventures and the continuous running, screaming, and escaping from several dinosaurs attacks.
The group snuck away from the main area within the facility, heading to the sublevel, where there were nearly no cameras or guards. After returning to the security chamber for another loot search, they gathered different weapons that could come in handy, both serving for a dinosaur or human attacks, yet in these conditions, there was a higher probability of a human showing up to confront them.
With Missy being handicapable, Samuel worried it would be harder for them to advance in their master plan. As a solution, they kept the girls inside a bubble they made by each person covering them by their sides, marching through the cleansed floor. There it was, the gateway to freedom just a few footsteps away, all they needed was to move at a faster pace and then bam, they would be completely off the grid, away from any harm or threat, or better to say, human threat.
Samuel marched toward the thick metal doors, reflecting its pure material, coming directly from its source, the island, "We're here." He opened up his backpack, pulling out the weapons the group picked for their own selves, "There you go."
The man handed Alice a large taser, the size of a baton, "What? I didn't pick any."
"I know." Samuel replied as he threw Yvelisse a large tranquilizer gun, "I got it for you."
Missy adjusted her shoulder bag, pulled two taser devices from inside, and later wheeled herself to Everett, "Thank you, we really had no hope."
The man snatched his tranquilizer gun in midair, replying to Missy, "Of course, I would do anything for you guys."
"Are we ready?" Samuel questioned, loading his gun, "I'll take the silence as a yes."
The intel proceeded to swipe the codebreaking card into the security panel, the following numbers showed on the screen '1963', with an automatic voice emitting, "Access Granted."
"Nineteen Sixty-Three huh." Missy said to herself, showing a slight smile.
Yvelisse looked down at her, intrigued as to why she previously said that, "What about it?
"Probably the code that saved our lives once." Missy responded rolling herself carefully.
"Sounds plausible to me." She made a reply, following the lead.
The large metal doors behind them were shut, leaving them in complete darkness. But as they were prepared, they lit up flashlights while Everett used the light provided by his weapon. They continued walking further into the tunnel. The atmosphere was dark and sweaty, water was dripping from the ceiling, and the concrete floor was annihilated by a metal platform. The sounds of their footsteps and the lone wheelchair were echoing through the long vast maintenance tunnels.
The clanky sound the floor emitted was becoming the only noise beamed, and the dripping water became recurring, with more puddles on the lower paving. Out of a sudden, the darkness was restrained by dark blue material. Everett, finding it strange, decided to look further into it, he knocked his hand against the wall, "It's glass."
Samuel scoffed, deeming it as a mistake, "That can't be possible."
Missy looked up to the ceiling, noticing that the surroundings were moving in a wavy pattern, "Then I guess that is water."
Yvelisse slowly approached the glass she couldn't see much other than her own reflection until she notices something blurry on her front. An enormous column of large sharp teeth was opening its mouth at her, Yvelisse screamed falling back. The girl barely got a proper look at the creature.
The supposed marine reptile charged into the glass, causing minimal damage. Everett observed the long creature as it swam to the other side of the tank, another three individuals of these species were seen flocking away from the glass, but for unknown reasons this one had been acting strange, explaining the lack of personnel in the tunnels, He thought to himself, "Long neck, big mouth, sharp teeth.."
"Elasmosaurus." Alice contributed by standing close to Missy.
"Oh." Everett uttered. "That's right."
As for Samuel, he was o his knees grabbing onto his hair, "How is this even possible, I have never bred this animal."
"That doesn't matter now." Yvelisse pulled him back up, "Let's go."
The humans raced forward while the supposed reptile stalked them from behind, lurking in the darker spots of the lagoon. The way to safety was just there, an open service elevator that presumably led them to the surface. They rightfully sprinted toward the shaft where the creature once again, crashed into the glass, this time causing it to crack, and the glass began to shatter slowly.
"PRESS THE BUTTON." Missy yelled, noticing the real danger was the water now.
"I DID." Samuel responded with the same amount of anger, punching it Continous times.
Soon enough the entire structure broke down, leaving the concrete parts stable. The water flooded through the tunnels slowly reaching their shaft, but luckily it out into the platform in time. They rushed out of the shaft jumping into emergency motorboats as if they were on a feeding platform. The boat was failing to start and the reptile was opening its large mouth to snatch one of the humans off, but it works out in time as it darts into the safe side of the lagoon, successfully evading the creature.
