Eyes

But not everyone is done yet, and the disasters are yet to continue. Far from any island, the cargo planes taking the black van and the mysterious dinosaurs are taken to Europe. Somewhere near Finsbury Park in London, England to be more precise, dinosaur markets are really strong in Europe, especially Malta, but ever since a very specific day, things have taken a drastic change. The underworld of dinosaur smuggling has grown larger over the years, as it is in very high demand and it can cost a lot, even your life, but people will do anything for greed and money.

It had been at least forty minutes every since the plane landed, they had been completely still for a while now and it was pitch black. Emily had fallen asleep on Waden's shoulder, but he was worried enough to stay awake and look out for any potential threats or danger that could show up and attack or even just threaten them. It wasn't until this very second that there was a sign of movement, the vehicle wasn't moving back or forward, it was going down. It also felt like it was placed on some sort of enormous elevator that led somewhere unknown.

The sounds and the movement caused Emily to awake, "What's going on?" She asked while stretching herself up.

"I don't know." Waden replied showing guilt in his voice, "You definitely set us on a drill."

"Stop being so negative." Emily hurled back, "We're literally so close to uncovering the truth."

He scoffed, crossing his arms disappointed, "Yeah, you say so."

The vehicle had stopped once again this time hearing short and fierce chatter coming from the right side of the van. The footsteps became louder as the backdoors finally opened, revealing two serious-looking troopers, "Step out."

Doing as ordered the reporters are guided out of the elevator and taken to another chamber. The mercenary leaves them inside as a metal door shuts them inside, and a new entrance opens up right in front of them, leading them to go. It was a whole new structure they had never seen before, it was an emptied-out secure warehouse filled with scattered scraps and pieces of abandoned vehicles, almost like a paintball field.

Emily climbed down a few sets of stairs looking around the room, "Holy shit."

Suddenly other doors similar to the one they had entered the room opened up, this time other unknown people were brought in. There was only one execution, there was a much larger metal door located in the center of the house under what seemed to be a mirrored glass panel. The people that entered the room didn't seem to be confused only scared, begging to leave, there were children, mothers, and even innocent people. Emily couldn't get the point as to why this was happening, and neither did Waden, yet he did have his own suspicions about this place.

Suddenly the entire place went pitch black with almost nothing to see except a few bulbs on the floor that signaled where the edges were. Soon a voice spoke from the seekers located around the entire sealed but also soundproof place, "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the annual modern coliseum of the year."

The man's announcement was followed by numerous cheers and laughter, while the people were frightened and whimpered. Emily was slowly putting the pieces of the puzzle together, "Modern coliseum, what did they do in coliseums?"

Waden replied, showing his knowledge of the aspect  "Depending on the time, they would feed slaves to wild animals, and later even populations that were hunted by the Roman empire."

Waden and Emily soon came to realize what the point of this place was, and now there was no coming back. The man continued his announcement, "Tonight we'll be having very special guests coming from directly from Africa, a pack filled with eleven pure Troodon Formuses." Despite not knowing what the creatures looked like, the watchers cheered anyway. Even now the remaining lights were shut down and the people were begging to leave right at the door, even though there was nothing they could do to escape. Emily and Waden knew there had to be a smarter choice than whatever the rest of the abducted victims were doing.

The time had come, the thick metal doors opened, and the alarms were emitted, announcing the entrance of the creatures into the site. The glowing pair of eyes each one of the creatures carried were scattered through the entire place. The two reporters heard at least three people passing away during the time span of two minutes.

Emily looked around noticing a metal bar that could come in handy, she commenced crawling toward it, until she noticed the reflection of neon light on her skin. She turned around, being faced by a Troodon. The creature began to corner her against a wall, Waden observed the situation, not taking any action.

Emily began to breathe heavily the creature emitting what seemed to be waning noises. She took a deep and long sigh, shedding tears across her cheeks, her heart was beating immensely. Then suddenly other two members of the species came closer to her. Emily shut her eyes as she was completely mauled by three individuals of that species, slowly dying as his screams echoed through the place.

"NO." Waden bawled in grief as he watched his friend being killed by those creatures. Feeling extremely guilty he decided to take action, he snatched the metal bar from the floor and began to slaughter the animals, one by one. This caused the watchers to get angry and leave the session as Waden was left covered in blood after the murder of the animals. The host pressed a button, releasing every animal present in the underground coliseum into the streets of London, including the eight remaining troodons, the victims, and Waden.
