Crash
Everything was plain black, with small glimpses of what seemed to be chaos, the vision was shortly coming back, now fully. The walls were parlous, the floor unstable. Emily had just seen the woman accompanying them jump out of a moving aircraft. Waden, her colleague was struggling to keep hold of the events. The man they had met a while after, was trying to keep the plane steady, however, it was too unstable for any salvation. The corpse of the late pilot, Sullivan, slipped out of the plane, with Emily having to dodge his falling corpse, and just like that, they crashed.
Its been at least ten minutes since the crash, and the plane had crashed straight to the ground. Emily awakes from her intense sleep, spotting her friend in front of her. She scoots over toward the friend, shaking him up, "Waden. Waden. Shit. Wake up."
Waden opened his eyes, flinching a bit after his friend's kind gesture, "Emily? Oh god."
She sighed in relief, knowing she wouldn't be alone on this soon-to-be journey, "At least we made it."
"I couldn't keep up with our equipment." Said Waden, "It's lost."
"What we need is proof." Emily told him, "Forget about it."
Waden turned his head to the cockpit, wondering if anyone was still around, completely empty. Until they heard a noise coming from outside, the partners look at each other, deicing to check on whatever approached the site. Waden picked up a taser from the kit attached to the wall. Now exiting through the wide-open back door, they see absolutely nothing.
The environment was hot and tempered, the trees were tall and green with vines hanging from them. Emily pulled up her sleeves, tying her hair up. She kneeled down noticing several tiny three-fingered foot tracks leading onto the foliage nearby, "That's why we crashed."
"I wish I could be taking notes." Waden complained, placing his hands on his hips.
Emily looked back at him, grinning "Take notes with your mind."
Waden touched his forehead nervously, he pulled his hand back down after noticing the blood. He yelped, looking at his reflection on glass nearby, "Oh god."
"Keep it together man." Emily complained, "This isn't that bad."
"Isn't that bad?" He cried, "You cannot be actually serious right now."
"I very much am." Emily responded sharply, scavenging for supplies through the rummage.
Waden eye-rolled at her statement, moving around the crashing site, as he looks at his reflection again, he notices a deep cut right behind his neck. In shock, he gasped, "FOR GOD's SAKE."
Emily held her fists in anger, storming toward him. Her hair bounced along with her fast-paced footsteps, she came face to face with Waden, pointing her finger right up to his chin, "Do not pull shit like this again. This island is literally filled with dinosaurs."
The noises they were creating startled something from afar, a wiring-like sound was being emitted, and it was just coming closer and closer to them. A large security drone with a Geneticorp pattern drifted out of the dense jungle, its camera, all red. The propellers were almost silent, with the meaning to keep every prehistoric creature calm and peaceful. The drone began scanning the perimeter, possibly investigating the plane crash.
A familiar voice called in a low profile, "Over here." It was the man from the plane, the silent one. He was hiding in the foliage separating the crashing site from the jungle. Emily and Waden immediately sprint to him, evading the drone. The drone quits and returns back to the HQ facility.
"That was a close one." Ryan said with huge relief in his voice.
Emily, surprised to see another human being said, "You're alive?"
Ryan scoffed, "I feel like the one asking that should be me."
"Fair point." Waden agreed, smiling a bit.
"We have to move." Ryan gestured the way with his head, snatching up the taser from Waden's hand.
The group now moved away from the crashing site, following the path of the drone. They walked across a perimeter fence, which was invisible, only signalized by flashing lights. Humans were able to walk across it, however, dinosaurs couldn't.
