Still, at the Amber mine, the first party of survivors observed the workers heading towards to do their duties. As soon as they were gone, Everett cleared the path to make sure no one was coming their way. Alice pushed her sister further into the flat side of the cave. Natalie placed her hands on her hips saying, "So what do we do now?"

"Don't worry." Missy wheeled herself to the control panel, "I got that covered."

"What is she doing?" Alice questioned, scratching the back of her head.

Missy took a deep sigh and inserted the first two digits, "Three...Six..." She shook her head, "Wait no."

The girl then inserted the following code '1963'. She didn't put too much meaning into it. But she did open the hatch. Missy smirked looking over at her allies. For their luck, the elevator was compatible with five people.

"How did you even do that." Everett asked, genuinely curious about what strategy she used.

She parked her chair in the corner, "Well, I memorized the number of times they typed at the panel."

"Smart." Natalie complimented, bowing down at the floor panel, "Uhm which one."

"I don't know." Everett kneeled down to her height, suggesting, "Try the first level."

Natalie did as he suggested and pressed the button, now standing up. She turned to her group smiling.

"Okay." Alice leaned on the wall asking about their proposes, "What is the plan."

"It's not that complicated actually." Natalie confessed as she pt her bangs behind her ears, "We sneak out of this shaft without getting caught. Then we head straight to the garage and use the first vehicle we spot, then finally, we get to the police and go home."

Everett played, trying to make the situation more pleasant, "Sounds easy compared to what we've been through lately."

Alice raised her head pointing out, "Hey! Look! We're almost there."

The elevator soon stopped at the very level they chose to be. An automized voice announced "First Floor". The doors slide out slowly, things weren't what expected. They weren't facing long white halls crowded with panicking scientists, but they were in fact facing a jungle biome, which was strange since they were literally in the snow.

"This cannot be right." Missy accounted, "In any way."

"Strange, try clicking on a higher level." Everett indicated, observing the heat of nature coming onwards.

Natalie tried pressing the buttons but unfortunately, they were not working at all. She shrugged saying, "Not working. Has to be it, as strange as it seems."

"At least they're aiming to be modern?" Everett theorized as he observed the strange fauna surrounding them.

Missy was rolling down steady as she took notice of the foliage as well, "Hey Alice, isn't this the same plant from the dome?"

Alice scooted over, seeing the plant, "Yes. It's prehistoric."

"This can't be right." Natalie muttered, scratching her chin. She began to search through the dense scenario they had been put into.

Everett then leaned against something, that emitted a metallic sound, that one that resembled a can. He knocked his fist against the strange structure once more, "The hell?"

"Maybe we aren't that far from manmade then." Natalie stated, following the path, "Let's go further."

The group now reached what seemed to be the end of the natural tunnel and was faced with a large field of grass. They took a few steps closer to the mead, trying to understand at least a single bit of what is going on.

Alice criticized, showing very little patience, "Apparently we just moved continents. North America to South America."

Everett scratched the back of his head, "I have never seen anything like this, it's amazing what mankind has achieved with technology nowadays."

"And yet here I was thinking Gyrospheres were revolutionary." Natalie claimed while analyzing the plant lifeforms present in the tall grass.

Showing uncertainty, Missy began to see things far behind a hill. To prove her point she pushed herself through its entirety with the rest of the group following her. They came across something unexpected, a potential dinosaur sanctuary. Infinite herds of dinosaurs grazing around a large watering hole, ceratoid bathing under a waterfall, sauropods feeding on Sequoias in a separated section of the habitat.

"Of course." Everett soothed, "A sanctuary."

A small herd of Protoceratops flees right in front of the survivors, with the humans not showing any sign of fear since these creatures were completely innocent, when not taunted. Natalie bowed down and even fed one of them a small weed. It soon runs off and rejoins the family.

"Guys sorry to break it to you." Missy wheeled herself back to the forest, "But this isn't why we're here."

An unfamiliar voice spoke from the darkness, "You are absolutely right."

Startled, the group once again formed a barrier, ready to come face to face with whoever was intimidating them. It was revealed to be the man behind it all, James.
