San Diego

Now at a plane, the Lang's were patiently waiting for their arrival at San Diego. A steward offered Alice a drink and she accepted it. The windows were sealed, no dinosaurs could be seen and no traumas could be triggered. Missy was mostly bored, playing games on her restricted and highly secured phone. Meanwhile Andrew, nervously counted the minutes before they landed. The two pilots observed dolphins cruising through the ocean. The crew finally arrived at America's Finest City, the first city dinosaurs had contact with, apparently. The plane landed at a private airport, the family walked out of the vehicle with missy being carried out and placed on her chair.

"Here we are." Andrew beamed, pointing at the noticeable skyscrapers in the background, "San Diego."

Missy simply replied with her usual sarcastic demeanor, "Wow."

A handicapable van parked a few meters away from the family, Andrew then picked up his luggage, "Off we go."

Missy sighed wheeling herself to the car while her sister followed unsurely. The family now observed the city of San Diego only taking about forty minutes to arrive at their final destination, the so-called hotel. Andrew exited first, taking his sunglasses off, he grinned, "Welcome girls, to paradise."

The three wandered into the enormous building, there was an artificial pool with a fountain right in the middle of the large gap between several floors, the building was really tall. Alice was quite interested in the place, taking a look at the carps in the small lake, Missy rolled over pulling her closer. Andrew's mood was slightly strange, he hadn't acted like this in years now. Missy knew something wasn't right.

"Melissa!" An unstrange called from afar, Missy turned her head seeing a familiar face.

Missy huffed, laying back on her chair, "You gotta be shitting me."

"Sandy?" Alice was surprised to see the woman again, "What are you doing here?"

"Your father told me you were in town." Sandy said in a really excited voice, "He offered me cash if I watched over you girls."

"But I thought he was spending time with us." Alice proclaimed, glancing at her father.

"I never said that, Alice." Andrew corrected her, bowing down to her level, "I brought you and your sister to have some fun, and Sandy is a trustworthy person, believe me."

"We know." Alice replied, stepping back.

"Yes exactly, we know." Missy protested wheeling herself closer to her father, "I am not a child anymore I can take care of her."

"And whos gonna take care of you?" Andrew teased, picking us his suitcase.

He left Missy with no words, she simply remained silent.

"Anyways, Sandy will show you around." Andrew followed a bellboy that would lead him backstage, "Have fun!"

Sandy smiled, now taking control of Missy's chair, wheeling her to the elevator, "You guys won't believe how cool this place actually is, there is a large pool at the top of the building, an arcade, even a huge jungle gym, sounds interesting right, Alice?"

"I'm not three anymore." Alice argued, observing the view from the elevator.

"You'll be staying at a highly secure suit." Sandy explained as they wandered out of the elevator, "The doors are said to be raptor proof and the windows are pterosaur proof."

"Sounds expensive." Missy commented, looking around the large room.

"It definitely is." Sandy parked Missy next to a bed, "These materials are highly in demand nowadays, people make money from it."

Alice stole a few snacks from the mini-bar while listening to the woman speak, she also noticed a hook that seemed to be made to attach something to it, but she simply ignored it. Sandy approached the younger girl and spoke, "Those are for free."

"Okay." Alice replied, knowing that her response wasn't really necessary.

Sandy clapped her hands together, pointing to the doorway, "There's a hot tub right outside in the balcony, but know you don't enjoy heights, Melissa."

"Thank you for the reminder." Missy retorted, rolling her eyes back.

"That must be all." Sandy continued, "I will be with you the entire time, you can only leave with my permission, and if I'm coming with you, other than that feel free to enjoy the suite." Sandy then sat on the enormous couch, picking up a book.

"Vacation?" Alice turned to her sister, shaking her head.

"Come on, let's check our room out." Missy motioned to the hall, wheeling herself towards it, Alice nodded her head and followed. Sandy peeked through her book and observed the girls, making sure they were following the rules.
