Paths

In the huge business center, the siblings were still exploring the possibilities of the place, except that wasn't their actual intention. Missy knew her father was up to something so did her sister, yet she didn't want to interrupt the case. Missy and Alice wandered into an enormous greenhouse.

"Holy shit." Missy exclaimed, she was impressed by the variety of the specimens, "This place is amazing."

"It really is." Alice observed the ceiling as she approached a Jacaranda.

Missy wheeled herself over to a pond, "You know, considering how weird this 'vacation ' is, I'm actually really enjoying spending time with you."

"So am I." Alice replied, smiling at her sister.

Missy smiled back, then looked at the carps.

Alice zoned out, wandering into a beautiful flower tunnel. She patted a Magnolia, smelling its aroma. The young girl noticed something strange, strange but familiar plant, she began to over-analyze it, calling her sister's attention.

"Alice?" Missy concerned, rolling to her sister, "What is it?"

"This plant." Alice's smiles faltered, "It's supposed to be extinct."

Confused, Missy simply said, "What."

"Missy, this plant is prehistoric." Alice pointed out, "I've read about it in books."

The teenager was referring to a Cooksonia, it existed about 425 million years ago.

"The power of genetics." Missy sighed in disappointment, "I knew something was off."

Alice plucked a sample out of the plant, as she followed her sister out of the greenhouse.

An over-sized Dragonfly flew over the girls, landing on a large Red Wood tree. It was accompanied by several others of the same species, it is commonly known as a Meganeura.

Far from the Greenhouse, to be more specific, way below the greenhouse. The last cargo plane finally arrived, including our friendly dino supporters who have gone through a lot since the beginning. Natalie and Everett sneaked out of the plane, feeling pain from the injected, yet removed chips.

"Where are we?" Natalie questioned, looking around the facility.

"I don't know." Her friend replied, "Looks like a basement."

Out of a sudden, they could see the enormous Carnotaurus they faced a while back was being dragged into a cage. The cage was circular and it was placed in an elevator-like platform. Natalie looked back at her friend, "Holy shit, I know what this place is."

Everett raised his eyebrow, implying that he didn't.

Natalie cautioned, her expression soon became fearful "It's a black market operation."

"We both knew this whole thing meant no good." Everett stated, letting out a big sigh.

"Hey, you two." An angry voice called.

The two turned around and saw a short man with temper issues, it felt like smoke was coming out of his red ears, "Are the Utahs here." It was no one other than Orville.

Everett stammered, "Uh- I yes."

"Perfect." Orville was relieved to hear that, "Well what are you waiting for? prep them up." He stormed out, getting back into the service elevator.

Everett and Natalie nodded at each other, they knew what to do.

Back at the Dino Showcase, The announcer just finished introducing the camouflaging Carno. "You all must be wondering what these wandering waiters with leashes are doing." He sat down on a staircase, "Well they are featuring none dinosaur extinct species."

Yvelisse gulped, holding her father in anger. The chief comforted his daughter, saying, "They're gonna be alright, we're gonna keep them safe."

"Including the Diplocaulus." The announcer approached the creature, "This two-headed lizard over here, I repeat he's not a dino."

The Diplocaultus shrieked, backing away from the large crowd trying to pet it. The speaker then approached a friendly-looking animal, a Nublar Tufted-Deer. The waiter dragged it to the center of the stage. "Isn't it cute? This creature is the most recent one, with only 5 specimens left in the entire world, most of its species went out during the Mount Sibo eruption in 2018."

The deer attempted to escape, but the leash was choking it, despite its best efforts.

"No." Yvelisse began to tear up, "We have to help it."

"Mija, control yourself." Mora tried to smooth her down, "We have to cooperate with them unless we're not winning, okay?"

She shed her tears, giving her father an understanding nod.

"Good." Mora gave her a nose kiss, then letting go of her.

Andrew could notice James was still really nervous about the whole situation, and now he began to get angry. When finally, James received a message from Orville, stating that the babies were here.

From afar, the scientists were observing the whole event, including Samuel the 'brains' of the corp. He shook his head in disappointment, staying out of the event.
