Preeta realizes what is happening and runs outside the house. Everybody gets confused and run after her.

Preeta reaches the scene where Karan is and sees a truck approaching him.

Preeta (shouts): Karaannn...

Before Karan could react, Preeta pushes him and gets hit by the truck.

Karan: Preetaaa...

He runs towards her, while everybody is shocked.

He holds Preeta in his hands, crying, while her head is bleeding profusely.

Karan (crying): Preeta, mein tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga...babydoll....kuch nahi hoga tumhe...Sammy, gaadi nikal!!!

They all reach the hospital and Karan makes her lie on the stretcher. Preeta holds his hand.

Preeta (weakly): I love you bajarbattu...

Karan: I love you too babydoll...

Preeta: But I love you more...

She faints saying this.

Karan (crying): And I love you the most....

Rishabh handles Karan, while Preeta is taken to the operation theater.

Sarla and Shrishti reach there too.

After sometime a nurse comes out.

Karan: Nurse, m..meri..babaydoll, k..kaisi hai??? Woh thik toh hai na...usse kuch...

Nurse: Dekhiye...aap shant ho jaiye...sab thik ho jayega...

Karan goes towards the temple and everybody goes after him.

Karan: Kyun karte hai aap aisa!!?? Kya bigada tha usne aap ka!! Aap ko mujhse problem hai na, toh mujhe sazaa dijiye na...usko kyun de rahe hai!!!! Uske aane se mujhe aap par vishwaas hone laga tha...agar usse kuch ho gaya na toh yeh vishwaas uth jaayega!!! (he sits on the ground, crying)...mere jeene ki wajah hai woh...bohot pyaar karta hu mein usse...nahi reh sakta mein uske bina...please...please usse kuch mat hone dena!! Please...

Just then a nurse comes and informs them that the doctor is calling them. Karan runs towards the OT. The doctor tells them that Preeta is no more...

Karan breaks down. He enters the OT to see Preeta lying on the bed. Just as innocent and beautiful as ever.

He goes near her while the family watches from the outside.

Karan (crying): Babydoll utho na...dekho aaj mein tumse pehle uth gaya...mein aur junior tumhara wait kar rahe hai...utho na...babydoll kyun mujhe pareshan kar rahi ho...mujhe pata hai woh tumhara favorite timepass hai...utho aur mujhse lado!!! Apne bajarbattu se baat karo na...please...

He stops crying and holds Preeta in his arms angrily.

Karan (broken): Bas bohot ho gaya...ab tumhe uthna hoga Preeta Luthra...(he starts shaking her harshly, scaring everybody)...mujhe pyaar karna sikhaya hai tumne aur mujhe chhod ke jaa rahi ho...tum humare saare promises tod rahi ho...Humara Preeran promise...tum nahi tod sakti!!!

He jerks her harshly and due to that she starts breathing heavily.

The doctor comes and sends everyone out and checks her. After some time he comes out and tells everyone that everything is normal.

They are happy to hear this and go inside.

Karan sits beside her and holds her hand.

Karan: Babydoll tumhe pata hai, mein kitna dar gaya tha!!

Kareena:  Haan beta...tumne toh hume dara diya tha!!

Rakhi: Puttar kaisi hai tu.

Karan: Mom kaisi baat kar rahe ho...meri babydoll ek dam perfect hai haina...

Sarla: Tu thik haina, beta??

Preeta (confused): Mein bilkul thik hu, aunty...

Everybody is shocked to hear her call her mother, aunty.

Karan: Yeh tum kya bol rahi ho??

Preeta takes her hand away from Karan's. Karan is shocked too see her.

Preeta: Excuse me, kya mein aap sab ko janti hu??

Everybody is shocked.

Preeta then looks at Shrishti.

Preeta: Shrishti...yeh log kon hai?? Achcha...inhone teri madat ki mere accident ke baad mujhe hospital laane mein...thank you very much aap sab log..

Shrishti: Di...ye...yeh aap kya bol rahi hai??

Preeta: Shrishti tu bhul gayi kya?? Mera kal car accident hua tha...

Shrishti is shocked. Preeta then looks at Nisha.

Preeta: Arrey Nish!!! Tu yaha kab aayi??

Nisha (shocked): Bas..abhi..tere accident ki khabar sunke...

Everybody is shocked while the doctor gives Preeta an injection.

Doctor: I think she has suffered a memory loss...yeh...

Shrishti: 3 saal piche jaa chuki hai...

Doctor: Yeh aap kaise keh sakti hai??

Shrishti: Karan sir aapko yaad hai aap di se kaise mile the??

Karan: Haan, woh meri car mein thi aur keh rahi thi ki uska accident...

Karan then realizes what has happened and his world comes crashing down. Sarla too breaks down realizing that her daughter won't recognize her.

Doctor: Meine unhe injection de diya hai...unhe aap logo se ki huyi baatein yaad nahi rahengi...

Karan in broken and with great difficulty, the Luthra's go back home.

After 2 days.

Preeta is discharged from the hospital and Shrishti takes her to their house.

Preeta: Shrishti, hum yaha kyun aaye hai??

Shrishti (trying to control her tears): Di woh, aap jab hospital mein the...tab meine woh address locate kiya...yeh humari mumma ka ghar hai...

Preeta gets happy listening to this and goes inside. They meet each other and Preeta is asked to rest in her room.

At the Luthra house.

Karan is in his room, thinking about Preeta. Just then Kartik starts crying. Karan tried to calm him down but is unable to.

Nisha enters the room and calms him down.

Nisha: Jab tak mein wapas aati hu, tab tak mere junior ka khayal rakhna, Nish....

Saying this she too starts crying.

Kareena enters the room.

Kareena: Tum The Karan Luthra ho...tum itni jaldi haar kaise maan sakte ho...agar koi purani yaad nahi hai, toh nayi yaadein banao...

Saying this she leaves and so does Nisha.

At night.

Preeta sleeps peacefully, while Karan is unable to sleep.
