Preeta walked back to her cabin disappointed.

Samjhe kya hai yeh apne aapko. Kaha ka raja hai. Usne mujhe jaan bujhke satane ki koshish ki. Mr Karan Luthra what you did is unfair. Aur ek wo Mahira bechaari kaha karan ke saath fas gyi h.

Waise mujhe kya. Par mujhe hain karan ko pata nai kyu mai kisi aur ke saath nahi dekh skti. Jab bhi aisa situation hota hai mai bhul jaati hoon ki usne mere saath kitna galat kiya hai. Pata nahi kyu laga hai hum saath hi ache hai. But aisa ho nai skta. Kyuki karan ne jo kiya hai uske liye mai usse kabhi maaf nahi karungi.

Preeta came out of thoughts and started to work on her files. As predicted by Srishti she didn't eat her lunch. She in fact didn't drink the glucose Srishti gave her until she was reminded by a message of Srishti herself.

Later in the day.

It was already 8 pm. Almost everyone had left the academy. When Preeta was coming out of her cabin. She had completed her work and it was the time for her to go home. She took the lift. When suddenly someone entered the lift too.

Preeta looked at karan and moved the farthest corner of lift. Karan noticed this.

K: Preeta Arora maanta hoon ki I Hate You but for the matter of fact I ain't a vampire.

Pr(all confused): kkyyaa?

K: Dumbo hi ho abhi tk... I see.

Pr: Haan toh tm bahut mahan ho na. Bahut mahan jaise kaam karte ho. Dikhta hai logon ko tmhare harqat.

K: Ohh really? Kya dikhta hai batao.

Karan move towards preeta and caged her between him and the walls of the lift.

Pr(nervously): Sab dikhta hai. Dikhta hai kaise tm logo ki zindagi barbad karte ho.

K: Agar yeh log me sirf Preeta Arora han toh zindagi toh tmhare waise bhi karab hi ho jaati.

Pr: Kya matlab karab ho jaati. Agar tm mujhse zabarsasti shadi nahi karte toh meri shadi Prithvi ji se ho jaati.

K: Haan toh wahi toh bola maine. ZINDAGI karab ho jaati uss bakre ke saath.

Pr(sarcastically): Jo bhi hota mere saath isse toh behtar hi hota.

Karan looked at her intensely and moved back.

Now Preeta was standing with her back stuck to one wall whereas, Karan was leaning on the wall opposite to her.

They both were looking into each other's eyes as if their eyes were speaking out to each other.

When suddenly the lift stopped.

Preeta fell outward and landed on Karan's chest and Karan held preeta on her waist.

K(balancing her): Are you okay?

Pr: ye.. Yeah I'm fine. Lift ko kya hua?

K: Sayad koi mechanical problem hua h.

Pr: Kya? But abhi toh office me koi hai bhi nai. Bahut kuch hi log bache hai.

K: Toh? Yaha staff all time hote h.. Hato saamne se let me press the emergency button.

Preeta moved aside. And Karan pressed the emergency button but nothing happened. This makes both of them worried.

Pr: kya hua? Kuch aawaz kyu nai aayi?

Kr(pissed) : Tum 2 minute saas logi? Shaanti Preeta Arora Shaanti.

Pr: Arrey but kya hua yeh toh batao.

Kr: Chup ekdum chup . Dekhne do mujhe. Lagta hai lift karab hogyi h.

Pr: Lagta kya hai? Dikh nai raha ki ho gyi h.

Karan (glared): I meant ki kuch bahut zada mechanical problem hai aur buzzer nai bajh raha hain.

Pr: Toh call karo kisiko. Kisi staff ko.

K: wait.

He checked his phone there was no network.

K: Network nai h.

Preeta checked her phone too but no network was available.

Preeta slid down the wall and sat.

She was breathing heavily. She tried to fan herself with her dupatta.

Karan saw this.

K:Ab yeh kya kar rahi ho?

Pr: Pata nai kyu ajeeb lag raha haan. Saas nai le paa raahi.

Karan sat beside her and held her upper arm.

K: What? Kya bolri ho preeta stay calm. We'll be okay.

Preeta nodded.

After few minutes.

Pr: Ka.. Karan. It's too uneasy. I need to go out. I.. I.. I can't breath. Problem ho rahi hai.

Karan cupped her face and patted.

K: Preeta.. Hey Preeta listen to me. We'll be fine. Bas thodi hi der me koi dekhega ki lift kaam nai karri hai and then wo log theek kar denge. Bus tum calm raho.

Pr: It's getting difficult. Mai bolri hun na ki prob.. Blem ho rahi hai.

K: Tum claustrophobic toh nai ho.

Preeta nodded.

Pr: I don't know aise kyu ho raha hain but... I

Suddenly she fainted.

Karan got worried.

K: Preeta? Preeta?

Karan patted her cheeks. She was all sweaty. Her cheeks were very hot. She had fever. High fever.

K: Preeta.. Preeta utho yeh mazak ka time nahi hai. Dekho mujhe tension ho rahi hain. Preeta?Preeta?

Preeta I swear tm agar yeh mazak kar rahi ho toh mujhe bura ko nai hoga.

Karan was hell worried now. He started beating the lift and shouting for help.

K:Preeta... Preeta wake up. Preeta.

He pressed the buzzer but it was still not working. He continued beating the walls of lift.

K: Koi hain? Koi hai? Help... Ye lift jam hogya hai.

Meanwhile the staffs had heard the shout and started working on the lift.

Karan cared preeta's face and was continuously trying to wake her up.

K: Preeta utho... Please utho.

Karan noticed that it was indeed getting uncomfortable in the lift... As there was shortage of oxygen.

K: Preeta just breath. Breath preeta.
Itna high fever hain. Tum pagal ho kya? Kya zarurat thi aane ki? Aapna khayal bhi nahi rakhs kti. Tmhe toh har time Karan chahiye hota hai khayal rakh ne ke lie. Ekdum bajarbatti jaisi harqat hai yeh. Dekho Preeta Arora agar mujhe ainda aise carelessness dekhi toh mujhe bura koi nai hoga.Utho tm bas ek baar utho fir mai tmhe batata hoon... Ekdum careless hogyi ho Preeta Arora.

Suddenly someone cut Karan.

Sir: yeh lift theek hogyi hai. Door khulgye hain.

Karan swiftly lifted preeta and walked out.

K: Someone call the damn doctor.

There were not many people in the academy. Only a few workers and Preeran.

Dr: lagta hai aaj inhone kuch khaya nai. Aur stress ke wajah se itne fever hogya.

K: What? Kuch khaya nai?

Dr: She's fine now but i want to talk to you Mr Karan.

K: Yes doctor.

Dr: I am afraid but kisi ne inhe behosh hone ki dawa di thi?

K: What? Yeh kya bol rahe h doctor? Koi aise kyu karega?

Dr: Wo toh mujhe nai pata but kisi ne yeh kiya h. Itne reports me h. You take care. Maybe koi serious baat bhi ho skti h.

K: Yes doctor.

Doctor left from there. And Karan looked at Preeta all confused and worried.
