Chapter 7

Zheth had been feeling better after the medical treatment Boba gave her, especially when she was given some much needed water, but the alliance they once had ended at keeping her alive. She didn't bother to fight back as he led her across the Finalizer's landing deck and down an immaculate hall, most of her weapons had been confiscated once Boba had gotten to his ship and the few she did still have wouldn't be much use considering the blaster pressed into her back would be able to fire before she could hope to stab her former mentor.

"Care to tell me how you survived at least?" She asked, glancing back at the Mandalorian. "I think I deserve to know that much before I die."

"Prisoners don't talk."

"This one does!" Zheth announced with a smirked under her helmet. "So you better answer or I might make you sing it."

"More annoying than I remember..." Boba muttered under his own helmet before speaking louder. "I went in another direction after the ceiling fell and crushed you. If a Sarlac Pit can't kill me then a fire won't either."

"Yeah well what about a ghost? I'm dead according to you and most others, only a myth to some... the Reaper, Predator, Spirit... whatever suits you. So, couldn't I kill you?" She started walking backwards so she could face the blaster and her mentor. "After all, the dead certainly can't be killed again."

"You aren't dead, turn around." He ordered.

"Bite me." She snapped back before knocking the blaster aside and turning around in time to run into a Storm Trooper with chrome armor. "Hey watch it!"

The Storm Trooper was probably glaring at her under that helmet but they spoke to Boba Fett. "Why isn't the prisoner in restraints?"

"At least my mind isn't brainwashed to obey orders without question, so who's the real prisoner here?" Zheth challenged.

"You will stay silent."

Boba moved to stand beside her as he spoke to the commanding Storm Trooper. "She knows she can't escape."

"With that lack of respect she won't have a chance to either."

"Is it lack of respect or a sense of humor?" Now Zheth was trying to get on the female Storm Trooper's nerves. "Then again, how much respect should I show an idiot who ran into me... Though considering you're probably blind it that armor maybe I should let that go. You obviously must run into things a lot and it would explain why Storm Troopers have terrible aim."

Pain went through her as she was slammed against a wall. "Watch that mouth of yours when speaking the First Order."

Zheth glared daggers at the chrome mask. "What are you going to do about it?"

"Follow me." The woman snapped at Boba Fett. "Let's see what Lord Ren and General Hux have to say about her."

She stayed silent as she was led deeper onto the ship, a hint of worry running through her as she pictured Lord Ren in her mind... General Organa had told her about this man. He was dangerous, not someone to mess around with if living was a value. The pair was waiting for them as Zheth stepped into what looked like a control room, she paused for a moment as Kylo Ren's head turned to focus on her directly but continued moving as Boba prodded her with his blaster.

"You said Predator was dead." General Hux commented from where he stood beside Ren's towering black form.

"I didn't think anyone could survive the crash." Boba sounded a bit irked at being reminded of his dumb mistake.

"You've done your job bounty hunter, Phasma, escort him off the Finalizer, we'll take the prisoner from here." Hux barked the order and she saw the female Storm Trooper lead Boba Fett back towards his ship.

She eyed the two before her in worry, were they going to kill her? Zheth pushed that thought to the back of her mind, death didn't matter; it was just a fact of life. Defiance found its way back into her veins, as she stood up straighter in direct challenge to their confidence. "Took you long enough to track me down."

"Watch what you say." Ren snarled. "We-"

"You know, people have been telling me that a lot recently. So why don't you just get to the point because I'm obviously not going to filter my words." She interrupted him, knowing fully well she would provoke him.

The world blurred for a second before going still, a black-gloved hand now around her throat as she stared at Kylo Ren, their helmets centimeters apart. "I could destroy you for that!"

"Then do it. You will anyway, right?" She sneered, secretly surprised at the lovely sound his distortion device made his voice, well and slightly jealous too.

"Not yet. Not until you tell us where the Resistance base is." Kylo Ren released her throat but kept a firm grip on her shirt collar. "Cooperate and your death will be quick."

"I've heard you can go into people's mind. If you want information so badly why don't you just take it?" Zheth stepped closer so they were pressed against each other. "Unless that was just a rumor."

Agony went through her mind before it was gone just as fast. She felt her body shaking from the attack, she had felt Kylo's power the moment she'd entered the room but that... that had been painful. Zheth retreated a few steps, forcing herself to stay on her feet while shaking her head to clear it from the pain.

"Did that feel like a rumor?" Kylo hissed before turning away. "General, take her to a cell for questioning. I want it forced out of her if needed."

"What? You didn't see it while in my head the first time?" She snapped before backing away a bit more as his head turned back to her slightly.

"I want to see your torment first."

Hux jerked her towards another hallway and she turned away from Kylo Ren as he disappeared when they turned around the corner. Cold wrapped around her wrists as restraints were put on and she turned to look at General Hux as the annoyed looking red head tightened the metal.

"You seem good at this bondage thing." She shifted her wrists in the tight shackles as she was grabbed by the arm and led to the cell. "Who's the lucky lady?"

"Silence." Hux ordered.

"Oh... is it a man?" Zheth questioned, a smirk on her face under her helmet. "I bet I can guess who..."

"I said be quiet." Hux snapped, jerking her sharply into a dimly lit room. "You don't know anything."

She laughed before staring at him and speaking in a deadly voice. "On the contrary General Hux. I know quite a lot. I know that you are full of ambition to win this war and become some sort of leader of the galaxy, which I can get from that stance you have. You are arrogant and want as much power as you can get but don't seem to get along too well with Lord Ren considering he made you bring me here instead of a Storm Trooper-"

"Your point?" Hux growled, shoving her into the restraints of a table like chair.

"You won't get anything you want from this." She nearly whispered so he had to stay silent to hear her. "Kylo Ren doesn't look like the sharing type, though, you probably know more about him. What happens if the First Order wins? Will he just let you have the power?"

"If you're trying to sway my loyalty you can forget it." She saw his cold glare and flinched a bit as he took off her helmet. "Resistance hostages always seem to think we want people to save us from ourselves, we don't."

"I could care less about converting you." She spat, shaking the white hair out of her eyes since she couldn't use her hands. "The only reason I was with them was the money, pay me for my information and all this is unnecessary."

"I have a meeting and Lord Ren has made me late." Hux grumbled as though he was thinking about if it was worth paying for the information rather than waste time with torture. "Don't think about escaping or the Storm Troopers will kill you on sight."

"Me, escape?" Zheth smirked as she watched him put her helmet on a table near the door. "Do I seem like that kind of bounty hunter?"

The door closing was her only response and she was left to check out her surroundings. Oh, this was going to be quite the nice challenge to get out of...excellent.
