Eye of the Beholder, Part 1
3rd pov
Hiccup and Toothless flew through some of the fog, flew up into the air, and dives down. They dodged the sea stacks (Or whatever they're called). "Okay bud, let's try the new move." Hiccup suggested. Toothless dived down before fly straight up to the sky, passing some clouds. "Yeah, baby! That's it Toothless! Push it! You've got it! Climb higher!" Hiccup shouted in excitement and encouragement as Toothless flew higher and higher. Then Hiccup's harness can off and he fell off. "What the-- Oh, no, not again! Uh, hey, Toothless!" Hiccup exclaimed. Toothless turned around and dived down, following Hiccup.
Hiccup turned his head to his dragon. "Hey." Hiccup said, like as if this was a daily thing. Toothless lets outa some growl, saying hey back. "So just plummet or, uh... any ideas?" Hiccup asks. Toothless flew down, ahead of Hiccup, and caught him. "I seriously have to get my own pair of wings." Hiccup stated. Toothless grumbles. "Oh, quiet, you. Don't even start." Hiccup said and went back to Berk, not noticing a giant metal owl following them.
(When they arrive)
"This is Berk. This is Berk too. And so is this. And this also." Narrator Hiccup said as Hiccup and Toothless flew all around Berk. "Yeah, it's been three whole years since the war with the Berserkers. And Berk has changed a lot. But then again, so have we." Narrator Hiccup added, and flew into Berk.
"Snotlout works at the armory now. Gobber gave him the title of ' Official Weapons Tester'." N.H. said as it shows Snotlout got into a catapult, and it launched him into the air. "Ha ha ha! It works!" Snoutlout laughed as he flew pass Hiccup and Toothless.
"The twins, to absolutely no one's surprise, have decided to dedicate their lives to Loki--" It shows the twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, pushing a cart that was filled to the brim with sharp weapons. "Uh, Hookfang! Hookfang!" Snotlout called out as he got closer and closer to the cart. Then Hookfang, a Monstrous Nightmare, swooped in and saved him. "...the God of pranks. Lucky us." N.H. said and sighed. "You just have to cut it that close, don't you?" Snotlout questioned, angrily. Hooking tossed him in the air making Snotlout land on the saddle on Hookfang. "There will be repercussions for this." Snotlout said, scolding the twins, and flew off with Hookfang. The twins just laughed and high-fived.
"And then there's Fishlegs, who has really found his calling, teaching the children of Berk the history of dragons. (Screw children)" Narrator Hiccup said. It shows Fishlegs leading the children to the Great Hall as they were all on Meatlug's, the Gronkle, back. "And if you look closely at the walls of the Great Hall, you'll still see the puncture marks where the Speed Stingers attacked. Interesting fact about these dragons-- Oh! Oh, look, kids! We're in luck. Here comes two of Berk's most famous heroes." Fishlegs said, gesturing to Gobber, and the chief of Berk/Hiccup's father, Stoic. "Ho-ho! Heroes? I've got some chiefing to do, but I guess I could spare a moment-" "Hiccup and the amazing Toothless!" Fishlegs announced, interrupting Stoic. And the both of them just flew in, above his father, Gobber, Fishlegs, Meatlug, and the kids. The kids started cheering. "-eh, to introduce my son and his Night Fury. Hahaha! Hooray..." Stoic said, changing his words. The both of them flew off as the kids continued to cheer.

Hiccup and Toothless were back to flying in the archipelago. Then they saw that Astrid, Hiccup's girlfriend, was flying next to them on Stormfly, the Deadly Nadder. "Hey, there you are." Hiccup said. "Hiccup, I've been chasing you since the armory." Astrid said. "Well, I thought we'd try out the far north today." Hiccup informed. "Uh, can we talk about something first?" Astrid requested. "Yeah, sure, if you can catch me." Hiccup said and went ahead, with Stormfly following behind.
(Later)
"You know what? I'm just gonna say it. I have a really good feeling about today, Astrid." Hiccup said. "You say that every time we go searching for new dragons." Astrid deadpanned. "Hiccup, while we have a second, I wanted to talk to you about-" "Oh, look, look, look, look! You see it?" Hiccup asks, tossing Astrid his one-lens binocular. "There's definitely some movement up ahead. Long neck, large head, behind that rock formation." Hiccup added. "Yeah, anyway, I wanted to tell you-" Astrid didn't even get to finish because Hiccup and Toothless flew over to the rock formation. Astrid groans in annoyance.
"This is it, Toothless. A new species of dragon, bud." Hiccup said as the got closet to the rock formation. They turned the corner to finally see the 'new species of dragon' only to be disappointed.
"Loki'd!" Both Ruff and Tuffnut exclaimed as Barf & Belch's, The Zippleback, necks were twisted like a Twizzler. "Ha! You totally thought Barch was a new dragon." Tuffnut laughed, fusing their dragons names. The twins continued to laugh. "Oh, come on. Did not. Let's go, bud." Hiccup said and they flew away. "Wow. Who yakked in his mutton?" Tuffnut asks as Barf & Belch untwisted their necks. A shadow flew above them, disappearing instantly. They both looked up, but saw nothing. "Probably just Astrid following Hiccup." Ruffnut said, not knowing that it wasn't Astrid.
(Later after Astrid told Hiccup about her new job and after they found Johann)
Stoic was just eating his food at the table, when the door opened, and revealed to be Hiccup. "Hiccup, what are you doing home so early?" His father asks. "Oh, I just... wanted to spend some time with my dear old dad." Hiccup said in his lying voice as he walked in and closed the door. "Yeah, you know, we never get to talk anymore. So..." Hiccup continued, leaning on one of the pillars.
"...All right, what is it?" Stoic asks, cutting to the chase. "What's what? 'What is it?'. Can't a son spend some quality time with his father?" Hiccup questions, lying through his teeth. "Not this one. Not usually, at least. So, let's hear it." Stoic said as he held his cup in his right hand and took a sip from it. Hiccup sighs in defeat. "All right." Hiccup said as he walked to the table and sat across from his father.
"Did you know Astrid just joined the Berk Guard?" Hiccup asks. "I'd heard that. Good for her." Stoic said, and took another sip from his cup. "And the other riders have got their different things going on." Hiccup said. "What are you saying, son?" Stoic asks.
"I'm saying, I don't know. Maybe it's time for me-" Hiccup started, but the door was instantly opened, showing the twins hold Johann's arms over their shoulders. "Johann! What happened to you?" Stoic asks as he got up and walked over to the entrance to his home. Johann took a deep breath. "Dagur!" Johann stated.
"What about Dagur?" Hiccup asks, joining thr conversation. "He's out. He's more berserk than ever. And from the way he was talking, Hiccup... you're number one on his revenge list." Johann explained, before he blacked out.
(Time-skip)
"All we got out of Johann before he passed out was this: Dagur escaped from Outcast Island by commandeering his ship. He threw Johann overboard about here." Hiccup said and pointed to somewhere on the map if the archipelago. "So, what you're saying is Dagur could be anywhere by now." Snotlout said. "Well, technically, yes." Hiccup stated. "Oh, great! Great, great, great. So that just leaves-- I don't know, let me think about this-- the entire ocean to search!" Snotlout exclaimed in annoyance. "No, thank you." Snotlout added, putting his hands on his hips.
"Master Hiccup." Johann said as he walked up to him. "Johann, your awake." Hiccup said. "And feeling much better. Thank you for asking. More importantly, I have more than a strong suspension where our nefarious foe may be heading." Johann said, almost like he was a Dungeon Master for D&D. "Outside the archipelago?" Hiccup questioned. "No! Just inside the fog bank on our outer groups of islands." Johann corrected. "We've never been out that far." Hiccup commented. "When Dagur commandeered my precious ship, he also came into possession of a very important map, one that leads into a graveyard of ships hidden in that fog bank." Johann explained.
"Wow! That's the first place I'd go." Snotlout said with sarcasm. "If I may be allowed to finish-" Johann said and pointed his index finger up, in a matter of fact looking way. "Johann, last time we allowed you to finish, we ended up on Breakneck Bog. So no-- No finishing." Snotlout said with sass in his voice.
"Enough!" Hiccup up said, wanting them to stop this already and go back to the task at hand. "What's so special about the graveyard and why would he go there?" Hiccup asks. "Well. You see-" "The short version, please." Hiccup requested, wanting to get this over with, interrupting Johann.
"It's where I store all my treasures and wares." Johann stated, making it short and sweet to the point. That left Snotlout and Tuffnut opened-mouth and wide-eyed in shock, not expecting that from him. "Wow, concise, to the point. Who knew he had it in him?" Tuffnut said. Wait for it...
"Which reminds me of the first time I was labeled as 'concise'! He was a young man, and very ugly, I actually-" "Johann." Hiccup said, interrupting his story time. "Yes?" Johann questioned. "Focus. Is there anything else?" Hiccup asks in a wary tone. "As a matter of fact, there is one ship you must avoid at all costs. It's called... the Reaper. Riddled with booby traps from stem to stern. Barely made it out alive with my life the only time I dared venture aboard. Oh, wow!" Johann added.
"Okay, Toothless, let's go. Unless, of course, any of you can make time out of you busy schedules to capture dangerous maniac?" Hiccup said. 'Odette, come back to the cave, we'll find them in the fog bank' You said over the bond. Odette didn't say anything but flew of in an instant.

Y/n's pov
It was nighttime, and I was gliding through the fog. The moment I entered I saw Barf & Belch, Stormfly, Hookfang, and Meatlug fly out of the fog with no Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut nor Ruffnut. 'Well, that's strange... Where are their riders?' I thought in confusion before continuing into the fog bank.
When I found the gang, the boat that they were on seemed to be normal. 'What the heck happened?' I asked myself. I flew in closer to where I can hear them but not to where they can see me. "Pardon me, does anyone else think that Johann could've warned us about-- I don't know, the giant screaming eels?!" Snotlout shouted in frustration. "Snotlout, would you relax? The dragons will be back. In the meantime, we stick to the plan. We find Johann's treasure, quietly." Hiccup instructed. Snotlout didn't say anything but walked off to somewhere on the boat.
(Time-skip)
I saw what they were searching and quietly laughed when I saw Snotlout had found a chest filled with fake hair. After a bit, I got bored and took a nap behind some rocks. After some time, it was dawn. I had dived into the water and went to the Reaper to see these guys around a cage, and in the cage was all of the gang except for Hiccup and their dragons.
Then Hiccup and Toothless busted put from the deck below. They saw the people in front of them and Toothless was about to fire. "Toothless, hold." Hiccup ordered. "Hiccup! Did you miss me? 'Cause I sure missed you. Every day for three years. I thought about you." The red-headed guy with tattoos said. 'Okay... he's got a bunch of screws loose' I thought to myself. He moved out from the front of the cage to reveal the gang. "Astrid!" Hiccup said. "And you too, Mr. Night Fury." He guy said as Toothless growled.
"Sorry, Hiccup. He got the drop on us while we were searching-" "Uh, quiet! Can't you see my brother and I are having a moment?" Dagur said, gesturing to Hiccup. "I'm not your brother and we're definitely not having a moment." Hiccup said. "Oh, well, I was." The guy said. "Look at you, all growed up! And quite the ladies' man, I'd wager." The guy said.
"Dagur, what do you want?" Hiccup asks. 'Wait, that's Dagur?' I asked myself. 'Yeah, I expected a little more' Odette said.
"Duh, he wants the jewels." Snotlout deadpanned. I saw that he has the fake hair hanging pit from his helmet. "He's not getting my family's jewels. No way! And I'll protect them at all costs!" Tuffnut exclaimed. "Also, what is with that hair?" Tuffnut asks, noticing the fake hair. "Ha! It's royal hair, I'll have you know." Snotlout sassed.
"Haven't gotten rid of the Greek chorus, I see. Anyways, yes, I'll take the jewels. His too." Dagur said, referring the last part to Ruffnut, also thinking that she was the guy twin. One of the Dragon Hunters elbowed Ruffnut in the gut, making her spit out the jewels. "Warch it, pal!" Ruffnut exclaimed. The guy laughs mockingly, then starts checking because Ruffnut spit out another jewel in his mouth. "Oops, thought that was the guy. Never can tell between the two." Dagur muttered. Then the jewel from before hits him in the head as the guy got it out, but Dagur didn't flinch.
"And I'll also take whatever it is you're hiding behind your back." Dagur said as he turned to Hiccup. "Come on, hand it over like a good boy. Brothers share, you know." Dagur said, holding his hand out as the two guys pointed their crossbows at Hiccup and Toothless. Hiccup pulled out this cylinder thing and Dagur takes it. "You know you're not going to get very far with that thing, right?" Hiccup questioned. "Oh, boy, here we go. Must we always do the same dance, Hiccup, you and I? Not that you're a fabulous dancer." Dagur questions and mutters the last part.
Toothless growls at him. The two guys point their crossbows at Toothless, ready to fire. "Easy, bud, not yet." Hiccup said. "That's right, Mr. Night Fury. Today is not the day, but it's coming! And soon. Now, if you'll excuse me. I've got people to see, and army to build, revenge to plot. Ooh, so much to do and so little time. Isn't this exciting, Hiccup? You-you must've been so bored over the last three years." Dagur said.
"Yeah, he's got a point about that. Not enough explosions." Tuffnut commented.
"Alas, my time here has come to an end. Farewell for now, brother. Until we meet again on the field of battle." Dagur said and followed his men off the ship and onto the one that they stole of Trader Johann.
Hiccup watched their ship leave the ship that him and his friends are on. He ran to the cage where it held his friends. "Forget about us! Go after him." Astrid said. "What are you waiting for?" Snotlout questions. Hiccup stares at him, confused about the hair. "Are you guys sure you'll be okay?" Hiccup asks. "We're fine! Go!" Astrid exclaimed.
Hiccup got on Toothless and flew off to Dagur. "Here he comes, sir, just like you said." One of Dagur's men said. "Still predictable, aren't you, brother?" Dagur said to himself. Dagur's two men readied a catapult with a big rock in it. Hiccup and Toothless flew closer and closer to the ship. "Fire!" Dagur ordered. They activated the catapult, shooting the big rock at the two of them, but the dodged.
"You missed, brother!" Hiccup shouted to Dagur. "Hiccup, you should know by now, I never miss." Dagur said. Hiccup realized what he meant. "Oh, no!" Hiccup exclaimed. The big rock hit the ship, making it sink into the sea with the eels. "The gang starts shouting out to Hiccup to save them. "What's it going to be, Hiccup? Catch me, save your friends? Ohh, tough one. Glad I'm not in your shoe." Dagur said, referring to Hiccup's remaining foot. Dagur starts cackling as they went farther and farther away and the other ship continues to sink.
