Someone I knew long ago

Who I shall not name,

Because of that person

I have never been the same.

Together we played,

together we cried.

Whenever you called

I always replied.

After a few years with me,

You turned a blind eye.

You disappeared from my life

Without a proper goodbye.

You left me when 

I needed you the most.

Thanks to you,

I keep nobody close.

To this very fine day,

I have not been okay.

You drifted away

When I wanted you to stay.
