The sounds of his growling stomach continued to hunt his mind. The crying of the Chibi as well. Knowing that he was no longer in possession of medicine for Megami hunted him. "What am I suppose to do?" His voice cracked up as the rain drizzled on him.

Within the area where he had politely asked for food and medicine but he was declined every time. The last house that he visited, the young boy had hoped that they could provide him for what he required, but in the end with such times one only thinks about themselves.

Almost as loud as sky, his stomach growled once again. Then he felt something blocking the rain from pounding on his head. In front of his face was an old stale bread, but it looked quite delectable to him.

"Here go on, eat it. You are hungry, right?" Konan questioned with a smile on her face.

His mouthed watered as he looked at the bread and he slowly picked it up. Hearing Chibi's cry, he broke the bread up into three pieces. He gave one the the pieces to the famished dog and a piece for himself. "Thank you. Um I sorry to ask this, but do you have any medicine? Anything for fevers or pain would do!"

"Is it for her?" The young girl questioned, looking over to Megami who head was on Nagato's lap as she slumbered.

Nagato slowly nodded his head 'yes'.

"There maybe some at the hide-out. Come with me." Konan divulged, walking off.

Positioning Megami on his back he zoomed after Konan with the small amount of energy he had, pushing his muscles beyond his limits.

They arrived to a cave and Nagato saw a boy who look like he was in his age group.

"Hey Konan, who are these two?" The boy with spiky orange hair asked, looking hardly at Nagato.

Nagato gulped under his gaze.

"I brought these two here, because they are just like us." Konan answered, searching through the supplies her and Yahiko had stolen in the past.

"Hey Konan what are you looking for?" Yahiko glanced over to the girl.

Still rummaging through the supplies she pulled out a bottle of pills. "Found them!!" She voiced, holding them up in the air, walking over to Nagato. "I hope these would somehow help."

"Hey what's going on?" Yahiko was perplexed as he trod over to Nagato and Konan.

"She's sick with a fever so, I decided to find her medicine." Konan answered, opening the bottle.

"Wait Konan you can't feed it to her like that!" Yahiko yanked the bottle from her hand. "First you have to grind it into powder and put it in some sort of hot soup. Besides you should only grind half of the pill because she's a kid." Yahiko explained, proudly.

"Really I never knew you were suppose to give her half of the pill." Nagato murmured with wide eyes under his bangs.

"Of course you do. If you give her full a pill for an adult she would always be sleeping. Half of the pill is then enough to make us drowsy." Yahiko commented.

A tear slid down Nagato's cheek. "So it's my fault that she always asleep. All this time...I thought I was helping her, but I was only making it worse!"

"Oi, why are you suddenly crying?!" Yahiko exclaimed.

Konan elbowed Yahiko to the side and sent him a glare.

"It's ok. How would you know that you wasn't suppose to give her a full pill unless someone knowledgable about it told you? I am sure you were just trying to help her. You're her older brother right, so I think she would forgive you!" Yahiko stated, looking at Megami.

"Do you really think so?" He sniffled.

"Y-yeah!!" Yahiko looked around the base and walked over to and grabbed a canned soup. "We can put the powered pill in her portion. You might else well have some too, since you're here."

"Yeah, you should have some too! I am sure she would get better!" Konan uplifted Nagato's spirit.

"Mm." He nodded. Nagato leaned Megami on the sturdy boxes and begun to shake her. 'I really hope she wakes up.' "Come on Megami, please wake up. Wake up."

Hearing someone from the real world calling her from the world of dreams, her heavy eyelids lifted.  "N-Nagato-nii?"

Nagato smiled. "Thank goodness that you are ok."

"Of course, I am ok!" Megami strained a smile.

"Don't push yourself." Nagato scolded.

'Can he read my mind or something?' Megami averted her nature green eyes from Nagato.

"Oh so the brat's finally awake!" Yahiko acknowledged her, while a bowl of soup was present in his hands.

Megami grew somewhat irritated. "Who are you calling a brat?"

"Since you are obviously younger than me, I get to call you brat. You may address me as onii-sama." Yahiko puffed out his chest, pointing to himself.

"Carrot." Megami mumbled.

"Eh, what did you called me?" He asked with his hand curved around his ear.

"Can't you comprehend? I called you C-A-R-R-O-T." Megami vocalized very slowly.

Konan looked at Yahiko's hair and chuckled with her hand covering her mouth. Even though she was trying to hold in her laughter, the blue haired girl couldn't handle holding it in anymore.

Yahiko's face grew red. "Oh you think you're funny brat." He eyed her up and down. "How about this I will call you Cotton Candy, since you are calling me Carrot!"

"Nagato-nii stay away from that Carrot or you will catch his stupidness, and he may poke you in the eye." Megami tugged on Nagato's sleeve, pointing to the orange haired boy.

Nagato and Konan's laughter filled the hide out.

"Is this brat really sick?" Yahiko questioned himself in a whisper. "Hmmph, because you called me carrot you're not getting any of this soup!"

Konan yanked the bowl of soup from Yahiko and gave it to Megami. "Here. Eat this so you can get better."

Accepting the bowl from her, Megami beamed. "Onee-chan thank you so much!"

Konan nodded. "No problem."

Yahiko's jaw hang wide open. "Hey why are you addressing her like that, but not me?!"

"You want me to call you onee-chan? You really are a stupid carrot."

"I didn't know all this time you were a girl,Yahiko." Konan teased.

"Konan I am definitely not a girl!! If I was I wouldn't have been in lov-" Yahiko stopped himself before he could say anymore. 'Because of this brat I almost confessed my feelings for Konan!'

Megami studied Yahiko and smirked. She tugged on Konan's sleeve. "Onee-chan my hand is kind of shaky. Can you feed me?" She asked cutely.

"Sure. I don't mind." Konan took the spoon and bowl from Megamihinsei.

"No Konan!! You don't have to feed her!! This brat is obviously old enough to feed herself!" Yahiko pointed to Megami.

"Yahiko, she's sick and weak." Konan pointed out the obvious.

Megami secretly smirked in Yahiko's direction.

Witnessing her smirk Yahiko thought. 'This brat, she found out! And she obviously has enough strength to feed herself!!'

After Konan was done feeding her, Nagato tapped Megami on the shoulder. "What is it Nagato-nii?"

Nagato bowed his head down to her and apologized. "I am really sorry!! Because of me you were always asleep! It doesn't matter if you don't accept my apology, but I really am sorry!"

Megami eyes grew warm and she smiled. "I don't see why you are saying sorry. Because of you, I am alive Nagato-nii! I thank you!!"

"Ok now that the gushy-ness is over, it's time to informally address ourselves." Yahiko coughed, turning everyone's attention to him. "I am Yahiko and I am the leader. One day I am planning on ending all wars, and plan to become a god, so there won't be no kids like us anymore."

Megami was impressed and she said. "You are still a Carrot...but." She closed her eyes with a smile, "... I could imagine you being a god. I will help you! My name is Megamihinsei Hoshimora."

"My name is N-Nagato." The Uzumaki added.

"My name is Konan and it's nice to meet you Megami and Nagato." Konan noted.

"Um, how do you get so much food?" Nagato asked, letting the question that has been on his mind out.

"We steal them." He frankly answered.

"B-But isn't stealing wrong?" Nagato stuttered. Megami nodded along with Nagato's question.

"We have to steal to survive. If we just ask, they will just say no." Yahiko tightened his fist. "I want to become god so I can change everything for the better."

Nagato was deeply inspired by Yahiko wanting to change the world for a better place.

"I will still support you." Megami beamed. For that split second when Megami smiled, it ceased raining.

Yahiko blinked benumbed. "What was that?! What just happen?! Did it really just stop raining for a second?!"

Nagato glanced over to Megami. 'It only could have been her powers that could have done that, but she didn't have her hand in the snake sign. Could it be that she mastered her kekkei genkai without using the hand sign?'

"Why are you staring so hardly at me? Nature done it of it's own accord." Megami picked up Chibi, and started to caress his head. "You are so cute."

"Thank you!! You are cute too!" Chibi barked wagging his tail.

Megami chuckled. "You welcome and thank you."

"Wait, can you understand what I am saying?!" The puppy yipped.

She answered. "I could have understood you from the beginning."

"Oh no. The brat has finally gone crazy. She's talking to the puppy like she can understand what it's saying. Nagato why did your little sister say it wasn't me? I know you maybe thinking I am going crazy too, but did she had something to do with the stoppage of the rain for those seconds?" Yahiko observed Megami as she continued to converse with Chibi.

"Yes and no." Nagato replied.

"What type of answer is that?!" Yahiko  yelled.

Nagato winced a little at the sudden louder pitch in Yahiko's voice.

"Yahiko, don't say things like that!" Konan castigated her orange haired friend.

Lightning then struck in the atmosphere and the thunder boomed, causing Yahiko to jump a little.

"Carrot be nice to Nagato or lightening may end up hitting you." Megami threatened.

"Do you really believe in lightning striking people? Well that's to be expected, considering you are a brat." Yahiko said.

Putting her hands together in the snake sign, Megami prayed. 'Please Mother Nature send your lightning close to Yahiko, but make sure you don't hurt him.'

Answering her prayer even though they were in the hideout, a bolt of light continued to strike down next to Yahiko. He dodged while he was on the ground. "What's going on here?!"

"Megami!!" Nagato gently pulled his god-sister's hand, releasing it out of the snake sign, while holding her right arm up.

The lightning stopped.

Konan was wide eyed as she looked at Megami.

"Did you do that?!" Yahiko shouted.

"I am sorry about Megami." Nagato apologized, bowing his head.

"That's cool! Why didn't you tell me you mastered how to do lightning style?!" Yahiko held Megami's hands with stars in his eyes.

Nagato felt something prick his heart as he watched the scene. Placing his hand over his chest, he thought. 'What is this feeling?'

Konan examined Nagato's reaction, catching on. She looked at Megami then Nagato. 'I get it.' "Nagato are you and Megami blood related?"

He shook his head. "We aren't. We're god-siblings."

'Now I understand.' Konan glanced over to Megami.

Konan then knew that in the early future that all four of them would get along, amazingly.
