Chapter 50

Abhimanyu P.O.V

"And today she came into my chamber to tell me about her feelings" I told everything to Mother who was smiling and giving glances to Uncle. "Did you tell her about your feelings?" She asked me, I slowly shook my head, I was about to but Mother interrupted in between. She sighed and put her hand on my head "Don't waste time son, you never know when it will be too late" She said, I know what she is saying is right and tonight I will do everything right by her and by Uttara too. She deserve all the happiness in the world. "I won't Ma, I won't" I reassured her, She pulled me in a hug and I enjoyed the motherly love. "Prakrite, Abhimanyu will do everything just fine, don't worry" Uncle said coming towards us and giving me a warm smile. Mother broke the hug and looked at Uncle. "I know Brother but as a mother I will always worry for my son" She said with a small smile, Uncle face fell but he quickly put a smile on his face "I know Prakrite, I know" He said and just then Father entered in the chamber, he looked at us and raised his eyebrow "Am I missing something?" He questioned, Uncle and Mother started chuckling at his statement. "Well Paarth, you have missed quite alot" Uncle said and beckoned Father towards him.

"Your son is in love" Uncle started, a blush crept on my face and I looked down. Father started smiling "Finally, I was thinking that he won't be lucky enough to find love" he said which made Mother sigh. "I know, war is looming around and I thought our son would be unaware from the feeling of love but I am happy now that he found love even in this circumstances" she responded to father. I never forget we have war to fight and I will be on front line to fight for Draupadi Mother's honor. "I should go now, I have to do some sword practice" I said, Mother smiled and father looked at me with proud in his eyes. "Sure son" Father said, with final greeting to all three of them. I walked out of the chamber and went towards my chamber. I know by now Uttara is gone and I will meet her tonight. For the time being, I have so many things to do. I pulled my sword out from its sheath and looked at the shining weapon. My reflection flashing on it. A frown on my face and my grip tightened around the sword.

"After the wedding, I have a war to finish" I said with determination on my face and I know dharm is on our side and we will win the war but at what cost?

Finally the time come and I went out of the city to meet Princess Uttara. I will tell her what's in my heart and all the confusion will be over soon. When I reached to the garden, I saw her looking at the sky, her eyes shining brightly, she looked so mesmerizing that I can look at her like this my whole life. I shook my head and a gentle smile appeared on my face. How come I got so lucky to have a partner like her. Not just her beauty but her caring and bold nature attracted me towards her. Never once in this whole Aryavart a girl boldly denied the marriage two days before the wedding when she finds out what in her heart and I admire her for that.

I coughed a little to get her attention, she froze and turned around a little to look at me then her face relaxed as her eyes met mine. I slowly walked towards her all the while looking at her. "I was waiting for you" She whispered, so that no one can hear us. I gave her a soft smile "I am here now" I said in low voice and moved my hand to take her hand in mine. She was hesitant at first but relaxed as I enclosed my large hand around her small one. It was so soft like I am touching a silk but her hand was cold. I frowned, she must be waiting for me here for awhile now. I squeezed her hand to provide the warmth. She was staring at me all this time.

"I want to--" She started saying when I interrupted her with a 'sshh' sound. She told me everything now it is my turn to tell her about my feeling. She looked at me with wide eyes when I stopped her from speaking, "It is my turn to speak now" I said and she slowly nodded her head. I breath in "When I came in this Kingdom, I didn't think of finding an alluring Princess bumping into me and stealing my heart" I started saying, a smile appeared on her face and her eyes started getting teary. "Then I find out the Princess I have bumped into is my soon to be bride because my parents Arjun and Prakriti choose her for me and I was happy that the girl who stole my heart will become part of my life" I heard her breath hitched, she opened her mouth to speak but no words came out of it. "Then you rejected it because you were in love with other me and you made me the happiest person when you told me you were in love with me and I was more that happy to know that you were ready to fight for our love even it means breaking the marriage to the person you don't love" I said looking at her in admiration. A tear slipped from her eyes and she looked at me in shock.

"You are Prince A-Abhimanyu" She uttered in shock, my mouth curved into a smile and I wiped her tears "Yes I am, Princess, I am Abhimanyu, son of Gandivdhaari Arjun and General Secretary Prakriti" I introduced myself. In between all the chaos I never get to tell her about my true identity and she haven't see me before that's why all the confusion happened. She gasped and put her hand in front of her mouth, slowly shaking her head. Then she started crying, her shoulder shook as she hide her face in her hands. I frowned and touched her hands, taking them in mine. "What happened Tara?" I asked her, she looked at me blinking her tears away. "I am so stupid, I created all of this confusion without knowing about your true identity and assumed the worst" She said in embarrassment. I pulled her into a hug and circled my arms around her. "You are not stupid Tara, you are bold, caring and all of this made us come even more close" I said to make her at ease. She sighed "But-" she started again.

"Shhh" I said to her and which made her close her mouth "You speak alot, my bride" I said with a soft chuckle and I could feel her smile, she snuggled into me. "My prince" She whispered finally and I knew from now on no one can separate us.

Not even time.

Third Person P.O.V

Prakriti looked at her son with a smile. He finally found his true love, she knows it was all his brother doing. Abhimanyu could have marry Uttara normally without all of this issue but then he wouldn't know about love, about the warmth that spread in heart when you look at your other half and she is happy that her brother did all of this.

"What are you doing her, Prakrite" Krishna asked looking at his sister knowingly, he knew that his sister is looking at little warrior who is talking to Princess Uttara in garden. Prakriti turned her head towards her brother, "I am looking at one of your Leela, brother" She said with a smile, Krishna shrugged and a slow smile appeared on his face. "It is little warrior fate to find love like this and I can't let my nephew be bare from the feeling of love when his own Uncle is epitome of love" He said and turned to look at Little warrior. She nodded and turned around as well, her brother is here to teach dharm and love and she has seen his Leela from time to time and she is even part of one of his Leela. "I am happy that my son has you and he will have you in the war as well" She said, Krishna frowned at this but he kept staring in front of him. Prakriti knows that this war will be tough as Duryodhan has maharathi's on his side but she is content that her brother will fight by their side and no one can defeat the family. But Krishna stood rigid in his place not answering his sister question. "Brother, what happened, is something troubling you?" she asked him, she knew her brother can handle any situation but she hasn't seen him this silent ever.

"Prakrite, you know the war is inevitable and what will come in the future will also be unavoidable, it is fate and we have to accept it" he said in riddle. Nature frowned and shook her head "I know war is inevitable but I am not understanding your words brother" She said in confusion. Krishna turned to look at nature and smiled in pain. He put his hand on her head "Nothing for you to worry, we have to focus on Little warrior's wedding for now" he said and Prakriti stared at her brother with uncertainty but nodded her head "You are right brother" She responded and Krishna gave her one last smile and walked away from there. She looked at her brother, her fist clenched in anxiousness.

"I won't accept fate this time, I won't" She whispered.

Next day, all other kings who had come here at Yudhishtira's invitation for the wedding were ready to witness the great moment. Kalyan mantap was decorated splendid. Prakriti was roaming around looking at the preparation. There will be no mistake at her son's wedding and she will make sure of that. Balaram and Krishna there, like the Sun and the Moon and the others like stars around them. "Prakriti, it's time" Arjun said smiling, he is so happy for his son and now the moment is here. Prakriti nodded her head and went inside her chamber to get ready for the wedding.

Everything was set and it was time for the wedding, Prakriti went into her son's chamber, he was ready and was sitting on his bed. Tears appeared in her eyes and she went to her son. "Little warrior" she said, Abhimanyu looked at her and smiled, she pulled her son in a hug. "Finally the time has come, my dear boy" she said, Abhimanyu broke the hug and saw the happiness in his mother eyes which made him more happy. They both reached to the mantap where everyone waiting for the bride and groom.

Bride arrived shortly after, she was dressed in red lehenga, she looked so magnificent, everyone was staring at her. Both Bride and groom sit in the middle of mandap in front of fire and gave each other smile. Prakriti stand beside her husband, Arjun put his hand in hers and both of them smiled at the scene. Krishna moved forward and tied the knot between Abhimanyu and Uttara "This knot will tie your souls together" he said with a smile and priest started the wedding mantras. Prakriti looked at her Krishne and both of them smiled at each other in happiness. Enchantment was in the air and bright, whispering petals fell out of the Deva's realms, to bless the young couple. Abhimanyu looked into his bride's eyes and saw a love there so strong it
startled him. When the last mantras had been chanted and they were man and wife, singing and dancing broke out in the palace and in the streets and never paused for a week.
