Chapter 40
Prakriti P.O.V
I was impatiently waiting for the night to come so that Keechaka will take his last breath before I ripped it out from his throat, slowly the day wound down and the city turned in for the night. Lamps were put out, as the people turned to sleep. I swiftly walked out of my chamber hiding in the darkness, Krishne was standing in the corridor towards the dancing hall waiting for me. I reached out and touched her hand, she seems startled but relax herself when she saw it was me. We walked to the dancing hall together and opened the giant door. Brother Bheem was already there covering himself in long dark silk cloth. Silence reigned over the night. The sickle moon peered in through the windows and we could dimly see the couch at the heart of the hall. "Brother Bheem, you should lay down on the coach, he will be here any moment" I whispered to him, he quickly nodded his head and walked towards the couch lying down on it. He put the silky cloth over his head to hide himself. I took Krishne with me and hid behind a pillar that rose to the ceiling nearby. "Just couple more minutes and Keechaka will die here" I said to her lowly, I know how much she wanted him dead. For once she looked excited and she nodded her head. "I have been waiting for this moment since a long day" she responded.
"It's nearly midnight, we must be quiet now" Brother bheem said and we quickly stopped talking and waited for Keechaka to come in the hall.
The moon rose above the palace and now only the stars shone into the dance hall. In the stillness I can hear my own breathing and Krishne pounding heart.
Finally, we heard the door open to the dancing hall. Keechaka has arrived, I could make out his body shape in the darkness. He shut the door behind him gently, "Are you there, my love?" he called out in the silent hall. Nobody responded to him, Brother Bheem stirred in his place and Keechaka walked towards the couch gazing at Brother Bheem who was covered in silk. "This has been the longest day of my life, Malini. Ah, my love, my love, you don't know how happy you have made me!" he said hoarsely, I smirked in darkness, his doom is here. With a sigh he knelt beside the couch and reached for Brother Bheem "Come to me, Malini".
I looked at Krishne and gave her a quick nod, she blinked her eyes in response. I walked out from my hiding spot and locked the door with my power, Keechaka startled at the noise and quickly stood up from the ground, he looked at me "Love, is that you, then who is this?" he questioned in surprise. Two immense hands seized Keechaka and a terrible form rose from the couch "Finally you are here Chief, You wanted Malini, She is death, Senapati and she is impatient to have you in her arms" he growled in anger.
"Who are you?" he asked shocked.
"We are your death" I said walking towards him, he turned his gaze at me and his eyes widened as I lighten up the place. "Y-You" he stuttered, without any moment wasting, Brother Bheem flung him down on his back, planted mighty knees across his arms and chest and fastened inhumanly strong hands on his throat. Keechaka threshed about, his legs kicking the air. But the rage of thirteen years was in his assailant's grip; it was inexorable. Keechaka's tongue lolled from his mouth, his eyes rolled up in his head. Krishne appeared ethereally from behind her pillar. In his final moment, the Matsya general saw her standing above him, joy on her dark face, ineffable triumph. I quickly went beside Keechaka and pulled his leg out from his body, he gave a terrible cry from the pain but it was all drowned out by the music Arya was playing in the other hall. "You kicked Krishne with this leg!" I growled, throwing the leg away, tears started oozing from his eyes in pain. "This is the justice done to all the women who you have assaulted in the past" I said loudly and cracked his head in my palms. With a sigh Keechaka subsided, his limbs twitched no more.
I backed away and stand beside Krishne as we stared at Brother bheem, he was like a unleashed beast, he mutilated the dead body. He kicked the corpse, again and again. In frenzy he broke its arms and remaining leg and thrust them into the torso. So, also, the staring, blue head: Bheema shoved it down into the chest. As if in some exact ritual, he reduced the lifeless Keechaka to a bloody lump of flesh. Until at last, panting and dripping sweat, his hands and feet bloody, he stopped and the frenzy left him "There, our queen, we have took your revenge?" he said taking deep breaths. Krishne smiled and nodded her head "Now I am satisfied" she responded.
"We mustn't be found here together. We will leave. But you stay, so the world will beware of you from now" I said putting my hand on Krishne's shoulder. Now everyone will know that Krishne's gandharva husband took revenge for what happened to her. She nodded her head and gave me a soft smile. Brother Bheem nodded his head and slipped out of the dancing hall, I hugged Krishne one last time and with a flick of my finger burned the leg which I have pulled out from Keechaka's body. Rest can be taken care by his people. "Take care" I said one last time and slipped out of the hall into the darkness going towards my chamber. I opened the door and walked directly to the bathroom washing myself from the blood. I walked out and saw Arya siting on my bed and looking at me, I sat beside him "Its done" I said, feeling relaxed now. I have done the justice for my fire. He sighed and nodded his head "I know, I heard the commotion outside" he responded, I raised my eyebrow and looked at me "Why aren't you happy?" I asked him, his shoulder shagged.
"The news won't go unnoticed by Hastinapur, Prince Duryodhana will find out soon" he said.
"It doesn't matter now, our Agyatvasa is about to complete in couple of days, even if he came here, it will take him time and until then we will be free from the exile period" I responded, he relaxed by my words. "I should go now" he said, standing up from the seat, I sighed but nodded my head and watched him walked out of my chamber. I lie down on the bed and stared at the ceiling with a smile on my face. Our Agyatvasa is complete, every five years that pass see two months of real time added to them. In thirteen years of the sun, five months and twelve days more than those years elapse: by the moon's orbit. We have already spent five months more than we need have in exile. But Elder brother did not want to leave room for any doubt, so he waited until thirteen years of the sun passed. By the count of the sun, the Agyatvasa ended today.

Next morning, I woke up and went to see the condition of Castle after what happened last night. Suddenly I heard a loud cry of Krishne echoing in the hall. I quickly ran in the direction. There was a crowd walking towards the entrance of Castle with Keechaka litter and they have bound Krishne to it. I clenched my jaw in anger.
"Our brother was your lover. Let death not separate you" One of them from the crowd said.
"It will please his soul"
Krishne began to scream and thrashed around but no one listened to her. "Vibha" she whispered silently, my eyes started burning as fire consumed my body and I changed myself in my destruction form.
With a growl that shook the whole Kingdom like an earthquake, I took a jump and land in front of the crowd, by now they reached at the forest. They were talking and laughing but when they saw me standing in front of them, they stumbled on there feet and dropped Krishne on the ground. They started running away from me. I opened my mouth and growled at them.
Third Person P.O.V
Raising her weapon, Mahakaali started beheading Keechaka's hundred brothers who were here to burn her fire, she cut them off brutally in the open. The cremation ground in that forest was like a gory battlefield. Splashed with blood, she brutally killed them, even their screams were lost in that whirlwind. Draupadi, who could not move from where they had dropped her, still lashed to Keechaka's litter, screamed louder than ever. She did not know what was happening and it was terrifying. Mahakali went towards Draupadi and cut her rope loose, She stood up from the ground sobbing in relief, her eyes widened when she looked at Mahakali, Draupadi joined her hands together and bowed in respect to Goddess of Destruction. Mahakali wiped her tears away, her anger wasn't calmed down yet, she wanted more blood and she is going to get it now. "Go back to the Kingdom" she said and turned around to stared at the corpse trying to calm herself down. Draupadi nodded her head and quickly walked away from there towards the Virata city.
Mahakali took a long breath and sniffed the air, she turned in the direction of Hastinapur and a smirk appeared on her face. "I am coming Duryodhana".
In kailash, Mahadeva looked at Mahakali in anxiousness as she moved towards Hastinapur to destroy it. Vishnu appeared in Kailash and looked at the scene "Mahadeva, you have to stop her, she is thirsty for blood, she won't stop until you intervene" he said staring at Mahakaali who was leaving destruction behind her. Only good thing was that she was going through the forest and hasn't encounter any soul yet. Mahadeva nodded "She can calm down only if she meet him" Mahadeva responded with a small smile. Time has come for their meeting. Vishnu looked at Mahadeva with a knowingly look "Finally, time has come" he said and looked at the scene one last time before disappearing away. "Mahakali will meet him today" Mahadeva murmured to himself with a smile.
Mahakali walked with destruction on her toe, her scimitar ready in her hand. Suddenly she stopped in her place and looked around, she could feel him nearby. She quickly turned herself in different direction walking swiftly.
"Mamashree, what are we doing here?" Abhimanyu asked to his Uncle Krishna. They were in the forest far away from Dwarka. "You will know soon, Son" Krishna responded with a smile on his face. He can feel Mahakali walking towards them.
Finally it was time for mother and son meeting after thirteen years.
Mahakali stopped in her track and stared at the boy in front of her, he was looking in other direction unaware of her mother presence. Her anger vanished away as she stared at her little warrior and she transformed back into her old self. She became Prakriti again.
"Little Warrior" she whispered, her vision started blurring as tears appeared in her eyes. Abhimanyu breath hitched as he turned around and his eyes met his mother. He slowly walked towards her, a tear escaped from his eyes. "Ma" he murmured standing in front of her, she nodded and quickly pulled her son in an embrace. Her heart filled with joy and happiness as she hugged her son. She broke the hug and touched Abhimanyu cheek wiping his tears away.
"My son" she said with a watery smile. She turned her gaze at Krishna who was standing away from them staring at the mesmerizing scene in front of his eyes. A child love calmed Mahakali anger down.
"Welcome back Prakrite" Krishna said smiling.
