Kendra is one of the daughters of Levi Ackerman and Lissa Greswald. She's technically from the Underground, but she was very young when her parents escaped and went inside the walls so she doesn't remember it.

Along with her siblings she lived in Wall Rose where she shared a room with her sisters while the boys shared one. Her Mom looked after her and her siblings along with the help of a couple of neighbors. Since her Dad is Captain of the Survey Corps, they didn't see him very often. But when they did see him they always had a lot of fun.

Growing up she was a very easy child and very sweet. She loved to play outside, she loved animals and would always bring home strays to help them and find them a new home. A neighbor had built her a makeshift gardening area in the backyard and she learned how to grow vegetables and flowers and such. Since her siblings were homeschooled, her Mom had let her and her siblings venture off into their interests. Kendra's being nature and animals.

And also bugs. Praying Mantis' and butterflies are Kendra's favorites.

She would be outside looking for different kinds of bugs to put in a jar and show them to her parents along with different rocks that she'd find. She was always outside doing something. Whether it was finding different bugs, rocks, or simply reading a book.

She also had a friend that she'd known her whole life named Charlotte Eddy. She had been friends with her for a long time, and she was an only child.

Charlie's at home life was pretty stressful, her parents divorced when she was four years old and her Dad was disabled from being in the Scouts, so he couldn't work. It was hard for her, so Lissa tried to be as welcoming to her as possible and accepted Sophie as part of the family.

When she moved with her Mother and siblings to a hideout so they could see her Dad more, she was sad that she would have to leave her best friend. But, she planned on writing to her whenever she could.

She got along with Zoe Hanji very well, because the two of them were very curious people. Kendra didn't care about Titans much, but Hanji let her use her lab to find out stuff about things that she found outside sometimes.

Things all changed when her Mom died of childbirth when she was thirteen. She had finished cleaning the horse stalls and she was going to use the horse crap to make soil for her plants and she came in and saw her Mother bleeding and she watched her bleed out and die.

She was in shock, and at first she didn't believe it. She hoped its was just a bad dream and she would wake up soon. It wasn't until the next morning that it dawned on her that it wasn't a nightmare.

The grief of it hadn't hit her yet, though. She went about her day like she normally would've. Ride the horses, do her schoolwork, tend to building her makeshift garden bed.

She went to be with her friend Charlotte afterwards, and it was there that she broke down and she clung onto her best friend. It was when she realized that when she'd go back home, her Mom wouldn't be there. She was gone forever.

When she was fourteen she started to rebel a bit more. She was trying to work through how she felt about her Mom being gone, and she was exploring the world.

She started sneaking out more to be with her friend. She didn't do anything too bad, they mostly just walked around the town, although there were times that she and Charlotte had smoked weed, they had just discovered that.

At fifteen she had made another friend for her and Charlie's friend group named Summer, and she got close to Charlotte and Kendra and the three of them were always writing letters to one another.

Summer's parents were divorced like Charlotte's were. And she had an older half-brother but she didn't grow up with him, so she grew up as an only child like Charlotte did so those two really bonded on that. This will be important later. She always loved to have the attention on her, and she loved play books and she was good at acting like the characters in the books she read. Summer's parents were very religious and strict.

And just like that, Summer was apart of the trio.

Charlotte's Mom had also gotten remarried and she really liked her step-dad so she was feeling more comfortable in her home life than ever before, and she, Summer and Kendra talked to each other whenever they could.

Summer however, had started to get between Kendra and Charlie's friendship and started to imply that they were a lesbian couple rather then very close best friends. She also implied that since she liked traditional boy stuff and she hardly ever dressed like a girl, that she could be a boy trapped in a girl's body.

Kendra didn't believe it at first, but after it was implied so much she questioned it.

She also started to calm down on her rebellious faze after her Dad talked to her and she asked questions about what she was thinking and thought about regarding her possibly liking girls and that she felt that she might actually be a boy, not saying it was Summer that implied it, she was just curious about it. She was, and she was very confused about it so she reached out to her Dad about it.

He simply said that there are different kinds of love that you can have for different people, and just because she was close with a girl it didn't mean that she wanted to have a romantic relationship with them. Regarding the gender confusion, he told her that she'd just simply a girl that likes mud, bugs and rocks. And reminded her that she was very much a flower person and still feminine, she was just a different kind of feminine. She understood how he explained it, and it cleared up the confusion she had.

When she turned sixteen however, when she went to go spend time with Charlotte like she always did in the Spring she had been at Summer's house and they broke into her Mom's liquor cabinet. Kendra didn't drink any, but Summer and Charlotte did. When they started drinking, Summer and Charlotte started hooking up. And since Kendra didn't want Summer's Mom to know that they were drinking, she was kind of trapped in the room while they hooked up. She wrote this all in her diary, but since Summer's parents were very religious she didn't say anything to anyone so she wouldn't get in trouble.

She told one of her other friends about it, Ty and he agreed to not tell anyone about it or about her being trapped in the room where her two best friends were hooking up, even though Summer had been trying to convince her that she was the gay one.

Her and Charlotte after that however had fought the whole other time while Kendra was there. Charlotte had nitpicked everything that she said, and made an argument about it.

After that, both Summer and Charlotte had stopped writing letters to her, and the two of them had started hanging out more often when Kendra wasn't there and seemed to purposely leave her out of their hangouts. This made Kendra very sad, and she was wondering what she had done for them to not talk to her anymore.

IIn one of the next letters she sent to Charlotte she said "I'd tell everyone the stuff that I have on everyone, which is a lot. Too bad you and Summer are too busy having lives without me. You're two-faced, and obviously stupid if you thought that I wouldn't find out. Hope you don't expect me to give a crap anymore. Bye."

For months the two of them ignored her for the most part only sending her back letters every once in awhile, until Summer sent a letter asking her if she could come over with them so they could hangout again. She wasn't so sure, it took some thought before she sent one agreeing that she could. And since her Dad was busy with work, he didn't mind if she went to spend time with her friends.

She started to notice the attitude that the two of them had towards her, and she really debated a lot whether she would go or not. At the same time though, she was happy that they included her in their plans again so she decided to go.

When she got there they had talked all day about several things, and when it got dark they went to their favorite spot in the woods to smoke weed, something they did every once in awhile with Kendra so she didn't think much of it when the two of them took her there.She had realized she forgot the lighter in the wagon they took there, so she turned to go get it. That's when she heard Summer and Charlotte say "One, two, three" and they charged at her with kitchen knives and they stabbed her in the knee.

That's when she felt an inner shift. Something snapped inside of her and she was able to fight back and she stopped the two of them from executing what they planned and she knocked them unconscious taking Charlotte's knife and stabbing her in the leg with it, and she hit Summer in the head with a rock and she limped off as fast as she could and road off with the horse, the blood from her knee getting everywhere.

She felt a very high level of betrayal from the two people she considered to be her very best friends. She couldn't understand why they wanted to kill her all of a sudden! She wanted to ask why, but she also didn't want to be alone with them anymore.

She had rode off towards home, and her sister, Kuchel was first to ask about her knee and they bandaged it up and she told her about what happened. It was so out of nowhere and crazy! The two of them told their Dad, and he was really, really furious about it.

Levi being Humanity's Strongest, had talked with both of the girls' parents about what happened with Kendra, the parents didn't believe it and said that she must've been having a very bad nightmare. But when he pointed out that Charlie and Summer had injuries themselves, they said that the two of them told them a different story of what happened.

Summer and Charlotte told their parents that while they were out, that a guy had tried to take them hostage, but Kendra fought back but not before two of them got stabbed in a leg and Summer was hit in the head. The thing was though that their stories sounded exactly the same, and Levi was more inclined to believe Kendra than these two.

They didn't have enough evidence that Summer and Charlotte committed this assault against Kendra however. It was a "She said, she said" kind of thing. They went to the part of the woods she said it happened, but there was nothing there. They weapons that the two girls used were gone. Everything was gone accept there was blood on the ground, but it would take awhile to confirm whether it was Kendra's blood or not.

It wasn't until Summer had broken down out of guilt that she was so burnt out that she confessed to it and explained how they planned it all out, and how Charlotte had gone to her after Kendra left when they had fought. Charlotte was saying how terrible Kendra was, how much she didn't want to be her friend anymore, and how "she had to go".

So during the months where they didn't talk to Kendra, they planned out how they were going to do it, and what they were going to tell the Military Police if they were questions. They had all the supplies they needed to carry out the plan and dispose of Kendra's body once it was done. They didn't anticipate that she could fight back after Summer stabbed her in the knee, but she did and she got away and they came back bloodied themselves.

After just telling people all of this, the Military Police that questioned them asked her why. Which was something they all wanted to know, especially Kendra. She simply said that they did it cause "They didn't like her anymore, and this was the only way to get rid of her."
