Bubbles' P.O.V

I watched, unable to move, as Blossom ran out of the room. As soon as the doors slammed behind her everyone began their conversations except their table. Brick stood there, his face slack and his eyes only showing sadness. Suddenly that innocent sadness turned into hardcore anger and he stormed out.

Butch and Boomer looked at each other curiously. Both of their eyes were murky, unreadable, circles. Finally Butch cleared his throat and put on a tight smile. "We should go find him before he does something stupid."

Boomer nods and they turn to leave. I bite my lip and then run outside after them. "Boomer!"

He turned and glanced from Butch to me. I stop before them, my chest heaving slightly. The rain patterned down on us but I continued to look at them. "What is it Bubbles?"

Bubbles. That was the word that made me take a step backwards. I looked up to him with hurt and for a second I could see the real Boomer. "I just wanted to say I was sorry...for what Momoko said. It's not true. We care for you guys a lot," I reached my hand towards his but he took a step backwards.

"Hear that, Butch? A powerpuff cares for us! How sweet," he mock with a laugh. Butch laughs along with him and my breath catches.

"W-what? Boomer what's going on with you?" I gasp, the hurt lacing through my words. The boys stop laughing and look into my eyes. Now I knew. This was not Boomer. This was a monster.

I stumbled back and slipped into my butt. Boomer and Butch give unnaturally wide smiles and take a step forward.

"What's wrong Bubbles? I thought you were supposed to be the big brave powerpuff?" Boomer asks and takes another step forward. Butch laughs like a maniac and I scramble to my feet, running towards the forest.

The pine leaves bit into my skin as I dash between the trees. I could hear the unsteady steps from Butch and Boomer as I ran. Whatever had possessed them had made them crazy, insane, and unnerving.

I made it to a clearing that was blocked by a wall. A wall? in a forest? yes, that makes complete sense.

I look around, trying to find an escape when Butch and Boomer shuffle into the clearing.

"Aw look, the little lamb's confused," it was Boomer speaking, but it wasn't his voice. This voice was rough and harsh, his words lashing at my skin. I backed up to the wall and looked around frantically.

"Too bad she'll never know what happened to that little boyfriend of hers," Butch says. My breath hitched as he pulled out a sharp silver knife. Butch the butcher. The sick irony.

Suddenly there was a loud think and Butch fell to the ground, the knife rolling from his limp fingers. Boomer looked around, an odd hissing sound coming from his mouth. I saw a small shadow and there was another thunk. Boomer fell limply to the floor and I uttered out a ghost of a cry.

The woods creaked as the shadow came into the open. I sighed in telefax when I recognized the familiar red eyes.

"Thought you might have needed some help," Brick says, removing some dripping hair from his eyes. I nodded my head and fell to my knees. Brick grabbed me before I could hit the floor and wrapped one arm around me. "Stay in there blue." I wanted to, but I just couldn't. Soon enough the blackness skipped into me like a blade. It cut me from the world.
