BC POV

"So...corny, eh?" Butch asks.

"Yup. Your jokes were corny," I sigh back to him. "What are we going to find in these stupid halls anyway?"

"I dunno, but if blossom sent us here there must be something important," Butch shrugs. I was about to respond when something caught my eye. I run forward and kneel besides a mud cased footprint.

"So they came when we were sleeping?" I whisper to myself but Butch heard.

"How do you know?" he asks, leaning over me to get a good look. I push him back and he falls on his butt.

"It started raining last night and this footprint has mud on it," I say, dusting off my hands.

"Oh...." he says getting up. "So we find more footprints?"

"And fingerprints if you can," I say racing down the hall.

"Found a few others," Butch shouts from down a different hall.

"I have some going to the right and...middle?" I stop at a crossroad. Butch comes in and looks at it.

"Yeah there's another crossroad up a little the two that went right split up there," he says.

"So there's three of them?" I question.

"So far, and it looks like they were searching for Blossom's room," he suggests.

"Or others...what if people are hurt?" I say starting down the hall, but Butch stops me.

"This is a hospital, BC, we can't run into random peoples rooms," he says. I sigh and he let's go of me. "Come on I'll take the middle footprints you take the right."

"Alright, but if anything happens to you contact me," I warn and then realize what I'm saying.

"Well look who suddenly cares! I'll be fine...Kaoru," he smiles.

"How'd you know that was my name?" I ask. He shrugs.

"You look like a Kaoru," he smiles and runs off down the middle. I stare after him a smile playing on my own lips. Then I turn and run off down the right.

Once I got to the intersection I decided I would text Butch. I reached for my phone and went onto messages when I remembered I wouldn't have him. Then suddenly his messages popped up and I looked at them.

How'd it go with little boy blue?~Kyo

Fine I guess. You should give him more cred. He's a great skateboarder~Kao

Haha. Yeah right~Kyo

I'm not kidding. All I had to do was give a small demonstration and he got it down~Kao

Sure. Why was he doing that anyway?~Kyo

The messages stop after there and I quickly text him.

I'm going to L at intersection towards Blossom's room. I'll come back and go R if I don't find anything~Kao

Omg. You're on my phone...why?~Kyo

From the past messages I think we were...friends~Kao

Eh. Seems likely, but I meant why are you my wallpaper?~Kyo

I read the message and blush.

I don't know? Mine is...~Kao

I look at my wallpaper and gasp

Is what?~Kyo

....Me and you...~Kao

....Right. You do your thing but next time just call~Kyo

I close the phone and stick it in my pocket. What were we? Boyfriend? No, those texts were clearly as friends...right?

I look at the wallpaper again and suddenly my mind jumps

FLASHBACK (something you didn't know ^_*)

"Kaoru!" someone yells. I turn around and strong arms wrap me up.

"Huh. Kyo what're you doing here?" I say, pushing him off.

"To save my girl," he says with a smile. I glare.

"I'm not your girl," I growl.

"Fine. Would you like to get ice cream then? Friend?" he teases. I roll my eyes what did I have left to loose.

"Fine," I sigh and we start off.

"Two vanilla please," I hear Butch ask. He comes back and hands me a cone.

"So?" I say as we walk along the sand of the beach.

"Uh...you have..." he touches his cheek to indicate something. I touch my cheek and try to see what he's talking about. He laughs and rubs his finger along my jawline to wipe away ice cream.

"Thanks," I know my cheeks are pink so I look at the ground. He grabs my hand and tilts my head back up.

"You look better facing me," he says. My cheeks heat up even more and suddenly his lips are pressed against mine.

END OF FLASHBACK

My eyesight adjusts and I'm laying on the floor. I sit up and I hear my compact beep.

"Butch?" I say as I open the compact.

"Hi BC!" blossom says. I notice her face is bright red, what did Brick do?

"What?" I say.

"Found them." she holds up a pink ribbon that I easily recognize as that PowerPunk's-Berserk.

"Great. We found footprints," I say. I flip the camera to show her.

"Alright. Keep looking," she says.

"Can do," I say. I'm about to hand up but Blossom stops me.

"Where's Butch?" she says.

"Down another hall, why?" I ask. Blossom shakes her head.

"Find him," she says and then hangs up.

"Find him. Hum he's the Baka that wanted to split up," I growl. "Butch! Butch! BUTCH-!" I shout until someone slams there hand over my mouth.

I start to freak out and my leg instantly kicks backwards.

"Oww! Dam BC!" someone hisses. I turn around and I'm face to face with Butch.

"Omg! Butch I'm sorry!" I say, throwing my arms around him.

"Well hello to you too. What's up? What'd blossom say?" he asks. My cheeks heat up and I quickly let go.

"She said they found one of berserk's ribbons. That's where the three sets of footsteps came from," I say. Butch nods.

"Why were you on the floor?" he asks.

"Oh...i-wait you saw me and didn't help?!" I yell.

"Hey relax, I just came, but what did happen?" he inquires.

"I remembered something..." I say quietly.

"Was it that we kissed?" he asks. I stop and my eyes look up at him.

"How'd you know?" I ask. He shrugs and grabs my waist.

"Some thing you just know," he says and places his lips on mine. I hear my compact beep but instead I lean forward and wrap my arms around his neck.
Nothing could be more important than this.
