Sick Day

"Want me to stop by during lunch, bring you some soup?" My ever so persistent sister asked as she brought in two more giant blankets.

I sighed, "I'll manage, Bloss. Just go to school before you'll be marked late."

This got her attention as she felt my forehead once more before running out the door. I understand her concern, we're super humans, we don't get sick. Except, what she doesn't know is, I'm not really sick, I just didn't want to take the biology test that I didn't study for. I pushed the blankets off of myself before sitting up. I had a lot to do today before the bell rang at 2:15. I hurried and showered before getting dressed and grabbing my bag and keys. I made my way towards Townsville park, a refreshing smile on my face.

You see the circus is currently in town and I haven't had time to go. When I reached the entrance to buy my wristband the guard gave me a questioning look. But I just flashed him my bright green eyes. Next thing I know, I'm making my way inside for free.

My fantastic day couldn't get worse. But it seems I spoke to soon as the most annoying pesticide to exist made his way over to me.

"Butterbabe!"

I glared, "What're you doing here, Butch?!"

He smirked, slinging his arm around my neck, "I could ask you the same." But I only glared at him, making him ease up, "Alright, alright didn't want to take the dumb bio test. Tried to get Brick and Boom to come along but Booms to chicken and Brick's to busy trying to "compete" with your redheaded sister. Really, I think he's gotta soft spot for the girl."

I sighed, shoving his arm off, "Brick and Blossom? No way! Now the blues, I can see that."

He shrugged, "It's true, all Brick talks about is how soft her hair is when he tugs at it and how her dumb glasses bring out her eyes. The worst is when he gets jealous, he is in a bad mood the whole day!"

I shook my head but now that he mentioned it, Blossom does talk about Brick alot and she shows more skin then when she use to. "I don't want to spend my free day talking about how our siblings have the hot for eachother."

He smirked, shoving his hands into his pants pockets, "Then what should we do?"

"I'm sorry, did you say we?" I questioned, raising a single eye brow.

"Well yeah, might as well hang out instead of being awkward and avoiding eachother here."

"I don't know, it's a pretty big place."

He just rolled his eyes, before pulling me to a line, "You're gonna ride the twister with me, then we're going to have a great day together because we will put aside our silly differences."

Oddly enough, he was right. We stuffed our faces full of carnival food and rode every ride twice and he even won a stuffed zombie. During the whole thing, we even pulled pranks on unsuspecting people. Just small things, like the throw up gag and bugs in food.

When we exited the park ground, both of us being soaking wet because he thought it'd be funny to shove me in the pond. "Seems like you were right for once in your life."

He smirked, shaking his head, "I'm always right, you know this, you're my counterpart after all."

I shoved him lightly, "Are you saying I'm always wrong?!"

"Hey, hey," He held my shoulders, putting up a serious front, "If the shoe fits." He cracked up as I punched his arm.

I sighed before checking my phone, "I gotta get going, it's already 2:07. Big brothers been watching me."

"At least she cared to make sure you weren't on your death bed, BC." He explained.

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah whatever... catch you at school then?" I asked as I started to back away.

"What can't get enough of me?"

I shook my head for what felt like the hundredth time that day, "More like to much." I replied before turing and continuing down the street.

When I got home, I showered and changed into my pj's. I got away with spending the day with Butch but the next morning, I was so cold and my head felt like it was going to exploding all the while my stomach quivered.

Seems like I did end up getting sick.

But it was kinda worth it...
