Hello everyone Son Raon here and I'm back with another Cosmology chapter for the verse.

This will be one of the four upcoming chapters that'll finalize the Cosmological complexity of the planets and stars of the verse, including one personal scale of mine that I'm planning on revealing bits and pieces of it narratively first (within my stories) and then expand upon its overall scaling.

As for what it is, unfortunately enough it'll be for me to know and for everyone you to find out in time so I won't tell anything about it, meaning that you'll have to look for hints about it in my stories.

I won't say which or what the hints will be about, just keep your eyes peeled and read the chapters thoroughly in order to find them.

Now without any further delay let's start with the Cosmology/world building/surprisingly not scaling part that most of you are here for.

First of all before I explain the three voids I'll explain a term that will be necessary in order for you to have the structural knowledge in order to proceed, albeit I apologise in advance for three reasons :

- Firstly the chapter will be a long one so we'll be here for a while.

- Secondly for the information overload to any over thinker that's reading this book.

- Thirdly to any scaler in the comments - because I know there'll be more than one - for the SCP PTSD that I'm about to reawaken in thee.

Now let's start with the first part of the explainations with me introducing you to a - for some of you - interesting yet foreign concept that's known in simple terms as pataphysics.

Now some of you may ask, what the heck are pataphysics supposed to be?

In reality, pataphysics (from the French pataphysique) goes back to 1900s as the title of a novel by the absurdist playwright Alfred Jarry.

Alfred himself was an author known for the fact that he was making fun of systems and more importantly mocking the very foundation of the idea that the world could be explained in a few results. One of them being as the name suggests, Physics.

That'd be embarrassing if that was the explanation I was planning on giving y'all about it, wouldn't it?

So because were talking about a fictional verse and not a novel written in the 1900s let me explain to you what pataphysics truly mean for the Raonverse.

In order to truly understand them - without trolling this time - let's explain some things that brought us to this point :

- Physics : Physics is the result of humans trying to explain the world they live in with scientifical terms from the most simple like the laws of Newton for the demonstration of the work of gravity to the most complex like the equation for the speed of light (E=m*c²) and theories like the Minkowski Space for the explanation of a Four Dimensional Space Time Continuum.

- Metaphysics : Metaphysics in layman's terms are basically physics, but with a side of philosophy. Metaphysics try to explain a world were conventional physics and sciences don't work. Metaphysics is just an umbrella term for other sciences that fall under the same category, these being Cosmology, Theology, Ontology, Epistemology, Applied Metaphysics, Consciology (the science of human consciousness), Mind and Matter, Neutral Determinism and Spacetime.

Now onto pataphysics. For starters Pataphysics for the Raonverse are essentially a form of Transcendant Physics.

By Transcendant Physics I mean essentially a form of science that explains things where even metaphysics crumble trying to explain. In other words, Pataphysics for the verse can be divided in the following five theoretical and five practical branches :

Unitology : Unitology in the Raonverse is essentially the science of unity. In other words a pataphysical branch that tries to... for lack of a better term, find a theory that connects every scientific aspect of the verse.

If the "final boss" of Physics is a Theory of Everything, the "final boss" for the Unitology is an Every Infinity or in other words a more greater version of the Theory of Everything similar to how Extended Modal Realism is an extension for the theory of Modal Realism.

Their motto is :

One answer for myriads of questions, not one question for myriads of answers.

Narratology : Narratology is - as its name suggests - the pataphysical branch that focuses almost holistically in the study of narratives or in other words the connection between the plot and the characters along with some other parts that I'll explain later.

Narratology will be a useful little tool that'll help us later in this chapter since The Three Voids are connected with it so more on it in a later chapter.

Their motto is :

Each world is a story of its own. The story is neither linear nor finite. Behind all stories there's a hidden meaning which I seek to find. This is my way to knowledge.

Applied Mythology : This is an interesting one since it's more theoretical than scientifical.

As some of you may know all mythologies that existed, exist and will exist are Canon in the Raonverse (albeit the mythological figures are scaled via the Raonverse's Cosmology).

Applied Mythology is the pataphysical branch that studies and records all of these mythologies for further studies. It's also the oldest pataphysical branch for that reason and boy oh BOI there are a lot of mythologies the scientists in that field have mapped.

This branch is also known as Religiology - a.k.a Theology on steroids - due to the motto of the branch :

What is today a Mythology, just yesterday it was a Religion. Mythology and Religion are forms of knowledge that you don't take with your mind, but with your heart and soul.

Transcendilogy : Transcendilogy is a new - as in for this time only - composite word composed of the words Transcendis (=Transcendence in Latin) and logos (= λόγος, αίτιο or in other words the Greek root of the English words Logic and Reason).

Transcendilogy is the pataphysical branch that focuses in explaining the Transcendences that exist in the Raonverse.

The Transcendences they study include :

- Qualitative and Quantitative Transcendence
- R>F Transcendence
- Recursive Transcendence
- Transfinite Transcendence etc.

Out of all the branches this is the one that's more akin to Transcendant Mathematics which is yet another type of Transcendence this scientific field researches and studies.

Their motto is :

The way to knowledge is a scale of infinite steps. I seek what lies at the end of this steps, a knowledge beyond knowledge.

Glossology : Logology in layman's terms means "The Reason of Language", it's a Composite word from the words Glossa (= γλώσσα in Greek that translates to English as tongue and language, the second one is the translation that was used in this case) and logos (= λόγος, αίτιο or in other words the Greek root of the English words Logic and Reason).

Glossology is the theoretical pataphysical branch that doesn't only record all languages from Earth based to alien based, to Transcendant based, but studies the underlying philosophical principles under which languages were created.

In other words, imagine Glossology being for language what Mathematical Platonism is for mathematics.

For Glossology similar to MP, the letters of a language are metaphysical entities that don't abide by our logic, thoughts, interpretations and mortal comprehension.

Their motto is :

All languages in the world are but pieces into a greater puzzle. The origin of language is the knowledge I seek.

This also brings us to the next branch of pataphysics.

Intuitology : Perceptology or "Logic of Perception" is a theoretical pataphysical branch that focuses on the study of the concept of Intuition within the Raonverse.

Now for those who hadn't read my replies in the comments - even though I told you a lot of times to read them- since they provide a lot of valuable insights into the verse's.... "mechanics" in layman's terms I've explained what I do mean by the word intuition.

In case you've read it and just want a memory refresh on it, let me explain.

Although this book works mainly as a Databook for the verse's Cosmology, these parts of the Cosmology already exist in the verse, although not all can see it.

I know I may appear kinda egotistical saying on repeat the words my Cosmology, but hey, I'm one medical university sophomore - that has the side hobby of a part time fanfic author - trying to create a deeply complex and diverse Cosmology for all of his fanfics in order to keep himself motivated to write and for others to know how deep his thoughts on the Cosmology department go.

Sigh My blessing and curse with having a 7w6 personality subtype I guess.

Apologies for the mini rant, but let's go to the explaination. In the Raonverse, although the Cosmology is diverse, sort of sophisticated and highly complex there comes a problem in regards to mortal intuition and perspective, coming in the form of mortal consciousness.

Mortal Consciousness or in other words, Mortal Mind as we know is limited in terms of what it can handle before eventually reaching a breaking point.

Now to give you an example of perception according to what I've told you by now in terms of the Planetary and Stellar Cosmological structures :

What mortals - due to the mental stress of their Mortal Consciousness - know as dreams and nightmares is the effect of the Mental Realm on them.

What mortals know as the sun is the effect of the Ignis Realm.

What mortals know as the morning sky is the effect of the Aqueous Realm.

What mortals know as the night sky is the effect of the Nyx Realm.

What mortals know as the universe is nothing more than the Physical Realm.

If you're a more theoretical/philosophical minded person I can explain it in a different way.

If you remember Plato's Allegory of the Cave imagine this correlation :

Everything that's known by mortals is the cave surrounding the tied humans.

The mortals of the verse are the tied up humans.

The shadows on the wall are the reality that the eyes of the mortals perceive.

The fire behind them is their Mental Consciousness, straining from peering into the unknown and trying to guess it.

The few rays of sunlight invading the cave, but are lost due to melding with the light from the fire are none other than the verse's reality getting filtered through the mortal mental strain.

Here's where mortal comprehension ends and the theoretical branch of Intuitology begins.

In other words the work of Intuitology is nothing more than the scientific branch that studies the unknown, trying to peer info it through the lenses of logic since in this verse knowledge is power and knowing better what lurks in the unknown can more easily help you to protect yourself in the future if you know that you're most definitely not alone and what roams freely out of out there comes for you.

Their motto is :
Knowledge is power. I seek to know more so I can protect more from the unknown.

Perceptology : Perceptology or "Logic of Perception" is the theoretical pataphysical branch that expands upon the concept of Perception within the Raonverse.

In the Raonverse although there's essentially a "conflict" between the terms Intuition and Perception in terms of the verse's theoretical structure based on what I've previously mentioned about the intuition, so let me explain to you what perception really is.

If we go by its etymology, perception is the act of becoming aware of someone or something by using our senses. This is part of what Perceptology is studying due to the fact that its other name is Sensuology or "Logic of the Senses".

The main question it tries to answer is "What if the senses are lying?" or to better interpret it :

"What if there's something out there?

Something that we can't reach if we approach it only with the five senses?

What if this something holds the key to the understanding of everything around us of broadening our horizons beyond what we can sense and truly perceive existence holistically?"

Perceptology was literally created for that reason. A reason that made it essentially the quote on quote "sibling" scientific field of Intuitology in more than just a common name.

In other words Perceptology and Intuitology are essentially two sides of the same coin, although they try to reach at a moderately common goal via different means.

Their motto is :
I peer through the unknown others fear. The knowledge I seek is to perceive things without the triviality of sensing.

Attunology : Attunology or "Logic of Attunement" is the theoretical pataphysical branch that studies the concept of Attunement in the Raonverse.

In the verse the concept of Attunement is very loosely explained as the connection that a being or an object has to their Cosmology.

In other words, Attunology could essentially be called as Crossoverology since first of all we're in essentially a verse that's essentially a mega crossover fanfic that contains a metric ton of crossovers yeah... you could say that they have their job cut down to size for them.

For example if let's say a Safe class SCP was Deus Ex Machina teleported into the Raonverse. The Attunologists - as the scientists with proficiency on Attunology call themselves - have the job to retrieve it and study it, doing some in relative terms harmless tests.

Once their tests are over and they're satisfied with their findings, they bring that item or being to their "sibling" branch known as Interilogy - yeah uncanny name I know - in order for them to return this item or being back where it came from since Interilogists are basically Attunologists but practical.

Yes, we don't have the cliché fictional trope where the scientist is a corrupt insert cussing word here although it doesn't happen in all cases and some scientists may be corrupt from time to time due to the fact that remember, the majority of them are humans that are interacting with aliens, eldritch beings and what not nearly 24/7.

That's why this branches have essentially an insurance for the newer members that they'll be protected from turning corrupt, but if they're not abiding by the rules and regulations of the Foundation and end up turning corrupt they're going to be put down.

Being put down by the Foundation entails :

- Being cured of being corrupt via Occultiology's mystical arts that due to it being the second oldest branch can make your corruption seem as easy to cure as the common cold.

- Getting your memory of this top secret Foundation wiped out via an eldritch technology in the form of a pill that allows the one that ingested it to remove his memories of the Foundation.

- This pill also has the "Matrix like" effect of teleporting the person back to their bedroom at the same age as when they first entered the Foundation and due to the fact that it contains a special tonic made by the Occultiology branch, it can make every single fiber of your being - yes even the conscious and unconscious parts of you - to think that what you've seen and witnessed at your time there was just a dream.

Their motto is :

All things significant or insignificant have a deeper connection between them. The knowledge I seek is to find how deep is the connection between them and how to return them back where they came from if they didn't belong here.

Occultiology : If you like magic based things, this branch is for you.

Now some of you may ask, how the f*** is there a purely magical branch count as a scientific field!?!!

Don't worry I have the explanation for it.

Remember what I've told you in previous chapters about the Implicate and Explicate Order Theory from David Bohm?

If your answer is yes, you know exactly what I'm about to say so props to you.

If your answer is no though, for lack of a better term the Raonverse got the same treatment as SCP, WoD and Cthulhu Mythos with magic and science being one and the same.

That's essentially their motto :
One world's magic is another world's technology. I seek knowledge in the darkness walking through an obscure path of magic so that others may live in the light.

Occultiology else known as "Logic of the Occult" is seperated in the following subbranches :

- Alchemy : A branch of transmutation, of shifting materials from one form to another via magical methods thought lost in time.

- Auramancy : A branch of spellcasting. The practitioners of this branch weave magic like how an experienced poet weaves words and emotions into poems.

- Sealing : Along with Agnosiology these branches know how to conceal, hide and suppress anything they wish from the eyes of others.

- Eldritch : This is the magical branch that studies and practices forbidden arts in order to earn knowledge on how to prevent them from being used for bad reasons. This is also the subbranch with the worst name in the foundation due to the fact that the members of this branch are in risk of getting corrupt nearly 24/7 so only experienced personnel are hand picked and chosen by the higher ups for this subbranch.

- Aetheromancy : The magic of the Divine. This subbranch is mostly in deep connection with the aforementioned pataphysical branch of Applied Mythology since it's the subbranch after the more practical implementations of Applied Mythology.

- Summoning : Many of the Foundation's branches need items from their research that need to be gathered from places with laws that make humanity impossible to get there by any logically possible means. That's where summoning comes into place since why go there on your own if you can summon another being to do it for you.

- Dreamers : These Lovecraft enthusiasts are essentially the Foundations explorers. Getting into this subbranch doesn't only mean as its name suggests that you'd meet or if the situation calls for it battle many... "Lovecraft" like beings and deities, it also means that you'd be in a risk of losing both literally and figuratively touch with reality if anything bad happens. In layman's terms you're more of a hyperdimensional explorer than a scientist, but you risk biting off more than you can chew if you do an 'Oopsie' since Dreaming and being a Dreamer is both a blessing and a curse.

Those are some of the borderline infinite subbranches in the Occultiology branch a branch who's  job is a high risk high reward job that can literally go from really good to really bad in an instant.

A scientific job that will make you see things that not even in your dreams you'd think possible or you're in for a trip without return to oblivion itself.

Innerilogy : Interilogy or "Logic of the Inner" is the sibling, more practical than theoretical branch of Attunology.

This branch's main object of focus is sealing the different interdimensional chasms or rifts that happen between omniversal collisions.

According to the Interilogical reports those collisions are the reasoning behind the creation of rifts that transport what's known as "Crossover energy" from one omniverse to another, letting beings or artifacts to pass through from one universe to another.

Interilogy as a branch may seem simple since they're the reason as to why crossover chapters end, but it's also a risky job since if anything wrong happens and the omniverse in question has irreversible damage or knows about the Foundation, then the entire protocol : masquerade of the Foundation will be foiled.

Their motto is :

We lurk and repair in the shadows so that you may live freely in the light. The knowledge I seek hides in knowing the crossover events and how to stop them as efficiently as possible.

In future chapters it'll be explained what would happen if the crossover rifts are left unattended.

Agnosiology : The last branch of the Pataphysical part of the verse.

Agnosiology or "Logic of the Unknown" is the pataphysical branch that focuses on the unknown.

What unknown I mean?

I meant unknown as in how to more stealthily hide the Foundation from common eyes.

Their motto is :
We hide in the shadows so that we won't endanger your light. Mysteries intrigue us and our seeking knowledge lies in them.

One of their greatest creations - alongside branches like Occultiology, Interilogy, Perceptology, Intuitology and Attunology - is the seal of nonexistence.

The Seal of Nonexistence is a seal that hides the Foundation and it's HQ conceptually, dimensionally, consciously, unconsciously, narratively, logically, illogically and even Cosmologically, making it essentially impossible to find the HQ since the Foundation can literally Ctrl+Alt+Delete itself from the plot and ✨pop✨ itself back into the plot whenever deemed necessary.

Agnosiologists are the reason why the Foundation remained in one piece in more than one occasions in the untold years that passed from the days of its founder.

Now that we reached the end of the trip through what are the pataphysics in the verse, some of you may ask who's the Foundation?

In layman's terms it's the Deus Ex Machina plot armor of the verse that appears when the verse needs to be fixed or things need to be explained further.

If you want to imagine that this Databook is essentially me writing their studies and proven theories, feel free to.

In more words I'll have to be the one asking you a question about it.

Remember when I said about the fact that we'll see in future chapters what happens when such crossover rifts remain open for long?

Well, the reason is that you probably know two of these occasions by now if you were careful enough in reading this chapter.

The two rifts that happened were from the SCP verse and the Cthulhu Mythos or else known as Yogsothothery and had as a focal point the Raonverse.

In other words, yes you're witnessing the reason why the Foundation exists in the verse to begin with.

The Foundation is the Raonverse's SCP Foundation or in other words Raonverse's SCP Branch.
